I have no excuse. It has been 3 weeks. I must write.

"Sir Wagner?", Rae gasped, peeking through the curtain to find a watery eyed man clutching at her mother's hands. His head and ponytail whipped around as he caught sight of Rae.
"Well, Ms. Casey, I must say... it be so nice to—", he looked back at Rae's mother, "finally meet you..."
Anne Casey, looking uneasy, backed away and slipped out of his clutches. "Sir Wagner, we not be expecting this..."
"See, the thing be." Sir Wagner's eyes seemed to shine even more, "I always be caring about my coworkers first, and their families, of course."
"Oh..." Mrs. Casey looked at her husband by the corner, who shrugged apologetically. "Of course, that be making sense... of course, you be doing so much for the family, of course. You be-um, seeing Ethan?"
Rae, now hiding behind the curtain, grimaced as her mother pointed towards it. Sir Wagner, however, just shook his head.
"Well, now, who would I be if I not be letting you two see him first?" He nodded at Mr. Casey as if giving him permission. "In the meanwhile, I be much interested in talking to Rae, if she be here?"
Rae cursed under her breath, knowing that Sir Wagner had seen her, and stepped out of the closed area. For a second, it seemed as if their eyes froze, both trying to stare down the other. Even across the room, Rae could sense the tension.
"Of course." Mrs. Casey repeated, and taking her husband's arm, disappeared behind the curtain. Rae was now alone in the hospital room with Sir Wagner, and could hear nothing but intense whispering coming from Ethan's beside.
"Young Ms. Casey, we be having a lot talk about."
"That's for sure."
"Won't you take a seat?", he pointed at the two chairs.
Rae crossed her arms over her chest.
"You be listening, won't you?," Sir Wagner seemed to be pleading, but his eyes still shone with a malicious gleam. "I be coming to realize... that it all be a misunderstanding!"
"Uh huh..."
"And—and, I be realizing, that while there do be a thief, a smuggler, a disrespecting piece of dust in the face of the government—"
"I get it."
"That person not be you! Working with your father be making me realize, that you simply be a hardworking, dedicated student, and-and you could never be doing something like this! Accusations be proven wrong!"
Rae's eyes narrowed. "Accusations?"
"Look Rae, I be coming to trust you. So, even though I be understanding the pain and suffering you be going through... being accused of such terrible a crime... I ask you, to trust me."
She stayed silent.
"I ask you... to be helping me in this investigation."
Rae's head snapped upwards so fast it hurt. "Huh?"
"Rae, I be working on this case for a month now... it be hard, it really be... it be hard. But with your help, we be—"
"I'm sorry, but, huh?"
"Rae, I be needing your help, you be knowing this school inside and out! Don't you be wanting to make a change? Be thinking of how good this be for you! Liam Wayland (lol, does anyone even remember this guy?) even be overseeing this!"
The whispering behind the curtains had stopped, and it was clear that both of Rae's parents were now listening in on the conversation. She had to be careful with how she responded.
Honestly, Rae didn't know how to respond. She was very taken aback, and this was the last thing she expected from Sir Wagner. What was he planning to achieve from this?
"Not—I—"
Just then, Rae's phone rang, like a call from an angel. Smirking openly, Rae picked up the call right after a glance at the caller ID.
Rae stepped away from Sir Wagner, who was watching her with an intense stare. A happy, but tired looking face appeared on the screen.
"Asha!", Rae said, trying to sound cheerful.
"Rae!" Asha paused and scrunched up her eyebrows. "Wait, where you be?"
"The hospital."
Asha seemed to be sitting on a bed, in a room that was clearly dusty and cramped. Rae could hear other voices behind her, through a tiny window behind her bed. The whole thing seemed to represent a prison. "What? I be gone for one day and somebody already get hurt?
"Uh... no, it be Ethan."
"Admiral Blondie?" Asha's face fell. "Why—wha— can I be talking to him?"
"I think he be sleeping now. I be explaining later..." Rae could almost feel Sir Wagner watching her, and considered hanging up. "Um... Asha, why you be calling?"
"I-I thought you be wanting to talk to me... it be my first day here—and, you be wanting to hang up, Rae?"
"No, no," Rae said in an attempt to fix her mistake, "How your day be, Asha?"
"Hm..." Asha propped herself on her bed. Rae cast a quick side-eye towards Sir Wagner and moved further away. "We just be getting an orientation today. Work not be too bad, just packaging pills, things like that."
Asha yawned. "I nicked a lemon flavoured pill on the way here." She revealed a yellow pill from her pocket. Rae felt suddenly nostalgic as she remembered the lemon pill Lin (so many flashbacks to old characters XD) had given her... it felt like so long ago. Lin, Asha... and now Ethan. How many people would be harmed from Rae's stupid ideas? Was it even worth it?
She was drawn out of her thoughts as Asha continued. "It not be so bad, but it be skinks in here."
"Why?"
"No, it literally be stinking worse that Rocky's gym shorts!" She scrunched up her nose and Rae laughed. It had only been a day, but she already missed that face.
"You be okay though Asha? Nothing bothering you?"
"Yeah, yeah, I be fine..." Then she thought it over. "I be missing you. And I be meaning to ask you about your book—"
Rae swerved her phone around quickly in panic. "Asha! Look who be here! Sir Wagner!"
Both Sir Wagner and Asha seemed equally shocked.
"Be saying hi, Asha!"
Asha paled. "Oh... oh. Hello Sir Wagner."
Sir Wagner waved his hand away, as if cueing for their conversation to continue. But Asha had gotten the message loud and clear.
"Well Rae, you be busy, don't you be? Good talk."
"Yes, good talk Asha."
Suddenly Asha got an evil glint in her eyes, and Rae knew what was coming even before she opened her mouth.
"Rae, you know what I be really upset about? That I never got to ask you how your date with Darren be going!"
"Asha, my parent's be here!"
"Oh I know! I said, your date!"
"Asha!"
Sir Wagner seemed very caught-aback. He clearly wasn't expecting to be stuck in this teenage drama. As he realized that he wasn't going to be getting what he was hoping for, he backed away and left the room.
Asha was cackling.
"Asha, I be hating you sometimes!"
"He be gone, though?"
"Yes."
"Ok, Rae, this be important. You be checking your email."
"My-what?"
"Bye!"
Before Rae could say anything, Asha hung up.
