The Werewolf
"For a woman I just met, you sure do work fast", said the smiling man. "Ugh". Mercy got up off the werewolf still pointing her sword to him. "Good. I got you off me", he smirked. Mercy mumbled lots of words which no one could understand. "Minttnim". "Why'd you send me away", asked Mint as he appeared. "It was either that or have you get hurt", replied Mercy. After that, silence took over. No one spoke. Instead they all stood there looking at Mercy and the werewolf. To finally break the silence, Kyle said, "What do you two even want".
"Hm... oh. I just want to join you guys", said Mercy with a smile. "I wanted to steal from this cat, but I want to join you guys now", replied the werewolf. Mercy stared at him and hissed. The werewolf stared back and growled. "I hope this mutt doesn't ruin my fun", scoffed Mercy. The werewolf growled a bit louder. "We must know your name first, werewolf", scoffed Kyle. "Zane Diaz". Mercy ears perked as he said his name. Mercy thought, "Zane Diaz... hm... Diaz... sounds familiar". She couldn't pin point exactly where she heard the name from, but as always she didn't care.
"Of course you can jo-", said Alicia as Kyle smacked her softly, "... Of course you can join us!". Kyle shook his head. "Thanks", Mint, Mercy, and Zane said in unison. "Hey, don't copy me", yelled Mercy. "Don't copy me", yelled Zane. Mercy really didn't care, but he wasn't on well terms with her at the moment. Mercy was glad to have someone she can tease a lot. Mint never really got annoyed so he wasn't a good target. Mercy and Zane argued for a long time. "Great... more people who fight like this", whispered Kyle.
Zane Diaz. A werewolf with amazing black hair and blue eyes that shine . He had a huge backstory on him. Diaz... Diaz was the last name of the most famous werewolf warrior. Zane wanted to live up to his father's name, but sadly, he was charged for treason. He didn't bother explaining this to anyone. He instead told them he was rogue. This in some sense was true and in another was false.
"Hey, we're heading off to the next town", said Jacob. Mercy and Zane both nodded. Along the way, Mercy found multiple ways to annoy Zane. She was also annoying Kyle, but not intentionally. For Mercy, this was a new experience. She was never in a group like this. She enjoyed the company. It was this way for Mercy her whole life. Having unique people around her just made her happy. "Hey cat. Want some fish", patronized Zane. Mercy shook her head and rolled her eyes. Mercy tends not to give in to the temptations a cat would face. She could give in to fish, but cat nip was another story. She could never give in to it. Zane waved fish in front of Mercy hoping she would soon try to get it.
"Hmph, I don't think a mutt would ever catch on to how offensive this is", hissed Mercy. Zane glared at Mercy. It was obvious he felt the same way about Mercy. Her continuous remarks about him being a mutt made him mad. He continued to wave the fish in front of her face. Mercy turned down his generous offer, of course! Mercy let her ears and tail show again. It didn't make matters better. Mercy swayed her tail occasionally hitting Zane's face. "I'll bite that tail off if you don't stop", growled Zane. "Go ahead", Mercy hissed. For that whole day, Mercy and Zane continued on constant banter. Mercy considered it playful banter; Zane considered it annoying banter.
It was an annoying day to say the least. That kind of day that just screams Mercy. She loved it overall. Even if there was a dog around who engaged in constant arguments with her.
