Chapter 107- Rivals part 4

Michael's POV

"I can't believe I'm finally at a Prince concert." Sheryl squeals in excitement as we walk through the back doors of the club. "I've been waiting for this moment forever."

Greg looks over at her and scowls slightly. "I don't see what's so special about him. He's not that--" his voice trails off as a group of Prince's backup dancers pass us by. Immediately we all look them up and down.

"The man does have good taste in ass...." Ricky says as we mumble in agreement, with Sheryl hitting our sides.

"Aren't you Michael Jackson?" one of them asks as I blush lightly looking down.

"Yes--"

"Oh my gosh, I'm such a huge fan." one of them giggles as I clear my throat shyly.

"Thanks that means a lot..." I say shyly, licking my bottom lip. "What's your name?"

"Jill..." she giggles. "Hey maybe we can--"

"He's taken." Sheryl interrupts making me smirk lightly.

"But I'm not--" Ricky says pushing me out the way wrapping an arm around her. "The names Rick, how about I take you out sometime......" he begins to say walking away with her as I roll my eyes.

"Alright let's go find, Tati before she goes on." I say turning around coming face to face with Prince.

Here we go.

"Well, well, well....." Prince chuckles with some of his crew on each side of him. "The King has arrived."

"I can guess who the queen is..." Greg mutters, as I look away my shoulders shaking with laughter.

"Come on--" I chuckle walking around Prince. He turns around smirking.

"You know, your girl is really something special. I was thinking about having her join my tour." he says as I turn around my eyes narrowing. "Her and I could be roommates."

I close my eyes, trying to relax. I knew Prince's game on trying to get under my skin, and I usually ignored it.

"She had a lot of fun at the hotel earlier. She really enjoyed changing up for me. It was really temptin' not to--" he smirks as I black out.

That was it. Before I knew anything, I had Prince pressed up against a wall, my arm against his throat with Greg trying to pull me away from him.

"I swear to god, man..." I hiss as Greg pushes me away from him.

"Michael!" I look up seeing Tatiana rushing towards me, practically glowing. She runs in my arms as I wrap my arms around my eyes on Prince.

"What's going on?" she smiles completely oblivious to what just happened.

"Nothin' we were just getting reacquainted." Prince seethes as we stare each other down. "Right, Michael?"

"Right." I mumble, gently rubbing her back as she raises an eyebrow at me.

"I'll see you onstage in a few." Prince mutters walking away.

She meets me eyes staring at me curiously as I roll my eyes. "It was nothing..." I mumble.

"Michael..."

"It's fine." I clear my throat. "I'm good."

"Michael--are you jealous?"

"No..." I sigh out and closes my eyes. "Yes, I don't know. It was just him getting in my head." I shake my head as Tatiana giggles softly.

"You know, it's okay--you're kind of cute getting jealous." she smirks kissing my jaw as I blush.

"If I can make it through this concert without choking him, you know I've changed." I smirk.

"You almost did remember?" Greg mutters as Tatiana furrows her eyebrows staring up at me.

I chuckle sheepishly as I wrap my arm around her walking back to her dressing room.

Tatiana's POV

After Michael hung around for a bit, leaving a bouquet of roses; he left to sit in the audience I started to get ready.

(A/N Let's pretend this is Tatiana's in her Concert attire)

I sit back letting the makeup artist do her final touches to my makeup. After a fun hour and a half of trying on about 300 hundred outfits, and snacking on tootsie pops, Prince and I came back to the club.

In an amount of a few hours Prince and I became fast friends. Hanging out with Prince was just as fun as imagined. He was wild, fun, and had an interesting perspective on things.

In some ways Prince and Michael were alike. Michael was the sweet one (who could be cheeky, on the low) and Prince was the sexually overt one. They were like night and day but they were both geniuses and incredible to observe.

I look over at the clock. In a few minutes I was going to be out onstage opening for Prince. I bite down on my lip jiggling my leg, as I begin to get nervous coming to to realization that Michael would be out there watching me perform onstage. The last time that happened was at the Grammy's.

It was different to be performing with Michael, but with him as an audience....that was intimidating as hell.

My thoughts are interrupted when I hear a soft knock on the door.

"I'll get that..." the hair stylist, Kellie says walking over answering it. I look up seeing another bouquet of flowers being brought in.

"Wow, those are beautiful." I say as she sets them down on the table in front of me. I stand up smelling them, before picking up the card.

"You're gonna end up having a garden in here." she laughs as I giggle, opening the envelope.

"I'm sure it isn't as half as bad as--" my voice gets stuck in my throat as I look down at the card.

I feel myself instantly break into a cold sweat as I crumple up the card in my hand.

"They're out there." I think to myself, my heart beating out of my chest. At that moment the door swings open, making me jump as I look over seeing Prince.

"It's just me." he chuckles walking in. "We're about to be--" his voice trails off as he stares at me. "What's wrong? You nervous or something?"

I give a weak smile. "Oh I'm fine...just got butterflies." I mumble.

"That's what you give me." he smiles slyly, before looking at my hand. "Oh is that a love note for me?" he teases. Before I can protest he snatches it from my hand, looking down at it. His smile fades slowly reading it, as I quickly snatch it out of his hand.

"What was that?"

"Nothing. It's just something stupid." I say quickly throwing the note in my purse, I turn to walk out the door before he blocks my path.

"Sit down."

I stare in his eyes for a moment, before sighing out and sitting down.

"How long has this been going on?"

"I don't know." I shrug. "It's probably some dumb fuck trying to get attention."

"Does Michael know?"

I shake my head quickly. "No, I don't want him too. It's no big deal."

"Don't you think he deserves to know?" he says raising an eyebrow.

"Prince--please...." I say getting up. "It's fine. I promise..."

"Yeah..." he scoffs rolling his eyes. "It's fine that they're already sending condolence flowers, when you aren't even cold yet."

"Prince--let it go." I mutter annoyed. "I'm perfectly fine. I swear it's nothing. Don't you get things like this?"

Prince stays silent before looking away. "I'm making sure extra security is around the stage."

"You've got to be kidding me." I throw my hands up. "You're like Michael."

"I guess I have to be since your ass isn't gonna be upfront with him." he says as I scoff getting up.

"Can you please just let it go!" I shout out before walking out, slamming the door behind me, leaving him behind.
