EPILOGUE

Few months later...

"Hyunjin, stop running!"
Yikyung told his cousin who was rushing down the stairs. "Where's Yiyeon?"

"Here!" Yiyeon came from the kitchen and rushed to pick her things that were in the living room. "Tell mom and dad that I went to school early, and tell Yeonseok that I couldn't kiss him goodbye because his Jeno-hyung is waiting."

"Yiyeon-ah, remember to tell Jeno to come here for dinner, okay?" Yikyung askded.

"Yep!"

Her brother nodded and looked at Hyunjin who was following Yiyeon, "Hyunjin, are you seriously going to third wheel?"

"Fuck no, I'm meeting Minho and the others at the convenience store," Hyunjin said, rushing out the gate, and running towards the other way.

Jeno and Yiyeon could only laugh as they headed to the bus stop.

"I didn't see Yeonseok rushing after you today," Jeno said.

"He was still sleeping since he slept late last night. Even Yikyung-oppa stayed up last night because he had to look after Yeonseok who was busy watching some cartoon on the television," Yiyeon sighed. "Yikyung fell asleep, actually. Yeonseok woke him up with a pinch on the nose."

"That kid is a sadist," Jeno laughed.

"Indeed."

***

"Yo, you two are early," Daewon greeted the two as they met each other by the gate.

"Yeah. because my brother was still asleep when I left the house," Yiyeon sighed. "I noticed that he's been clinging onto Jeno lately." She looked at her boyfriend accusingly. "Are you threatening him, perhaps?" She raised a brow.

"W-wha?" Jeno blinked several times. "I did no such thing! If there is, Yeonseok was the one who threatened me!" He scoffed.

Although still skeptical, Yiyeon shrugged it off as she continued walking. "Wait, why is Yejin not here yet?" She asked.

Daewon sighed, "She woke up late, and told me to go to school first." He said as he gripped onto the strap of his backpack.

Jeno and Yiyeon looked at each other before looking at their friend once again. "And you believed her?!" They said in unison.

"Damn, I hope you don't fight after this," Jeno said.

"Are you even seriously dating her-"

"WHAT?" Daewon stopped walking as he faced the two. "What makes you think that we're dating?!" He exclaimed.

Yiyeon flicked his forehead, "You constantly went on dates as Jeno and I did last break, and you think we won't be suspicious?" She raised a brow. "You dumb fuck, go and check on her!"

After Yiyeon said that, Daewon quickly ran back, while the two could only shake their heads.

"You know, it's nice to know that all five of us are now in the same section," Jeno said. "Even Hyunjin is in the same class as us."

The girl chuckled, "Hyunjin and I were rarely in the same class, even as kids." She said, as they both entered their classroom.

***

"Can we already skip to the good part?" Yangyang whined as he leaned his head on the table. "I know it's just the first day but what the fuck, I'm bored."

"Since when have you treated school this way?" Yejin, who was seated on the chair to his right, asked. "Among all of us, weren't you the one who always submits the schoolworks on time?"

Yangyang frowned, "What, even us model students have the right to feel lazy, too, you know?" He sighed.

Their homeroom teacher entered the classroom and placed several folders on the table. Her eyes scanned the room and landed on Yangyang. Meanwhile, the boy already had an idea why their teacher was looking at him, but he wanted to bury the reason at the back of his head.

"Yangyang," the teacher called. "Kindly bring these folders to the guidance office. I'll follow you in a while, I'll just tell the class your schedule for the whole semester."

Sighing, Yangyang stood up, "Yes, ma'am."

"Come on, pres!" Yiyeon cheered.

Yangyang rolled his eyes, "Oh my god, shut up."

Their friend left the room, while they were left with their teacher who was writing the schedule on the board.

"Is English seriously the first subject?" Daewon whispered. "I don't understand why we have to study English."

"It's our last year already. It'll be over," Yejin laughed.

***

Yangyang grunted as soon as he noticed that he was far from their classroom. Being the class president was out of his list, yet his friends told him otherwise.

Jaemin, Yangyang, and Yiyeon were the ones nominated for being the class president, yet Jaemin said that he'll buy snacks for everyone if they vote for Yangyang instead—and that's what's happened.

He knocked on the guidance office and as soon as someone answered, he entered.

"Good morning, sir. I'm Liu Yangyang, class president of 3rd year, section A. I'm here to deliver some files Miss Kim asked me to," he said, placing the folders on the table.

"Ah, yes. Thank you, Mr. Liu. Have a seat while you wait for Miss Kim," he said. "Have she told you something else to do?"

Yangyang shook his head, "No, not yet. But I think she'll tell me something else, sir," he said.

"Alright. Be my guest," he smiled.

"Thank you, sir."

A couple of minutes later, their teacher arrived and ushered Yangyang outside.

"Did I make you wait for too long?" Their teacher asked. "Apologies for making you run all the errands. I know that you were just elected as the class president yesterday."

Yangyang shook his head, "No, it's fine, ma'am! I can do this much for the whole class," he sighed. It's not like he hated the job. He just hates the fact that he'll be busier.

They entered the faculty room and the first thing he noticed was a girl seated in front of their homeroom adviser's table.

He stopped walking when their teacher called the attention of the girl.

The girl stood beside Miss Kim. She was weearing civilian clothes, and she looked as clueless as Yangyang was.

"This is Lee Haewon. She was just enrolled yesterday, that's why she wasn't here," his teacher explained. "She'll be in our class, and as the class president, I am expecting you to guide her until she's completely adjusted."

Miss Kim faced Haewon, "Haewon, this is the current class president. You can ask him things, okay?"

"Yes, ma'am," the girl smiled.

Yangyang looked away, feeling the situation was kind of awkward.

"U-Uhm, hello! I'm Haewon!" The girl introduced herself once they were out of the faculty room. "I'm sorry to trouble you, but I'll make sure to handle myself once I get to know a few about the school, and even our class!"

Yangyang shook his head as she kept the girl close, "It's okay. You're not troubling me at all," he smiled. "I'm Yangyang, by the way. Liu Yangyang, the class president for our class."

The two entered the classroom. To Yangyang's surprise, everybody went silent when he entered.

"Did something about Yangyang's vibe change?" Yiyeon whispered to Jeno.

"Attention, everyone." Yangyang said as he stood in front. "Here with me is a transfer student. She'll be here with us from now on, so I expect you guys to be nice to her, okay?"

"I thought you hated the fact that you're president?" Jaemin snorted.

"I heard you, Jaemin!" Yangyang rolled his eyes.

"Hello, everyone! I'm Lee Haewon. Nice to meet you! I'll be under your care from now on!" She smiled and took a bow in front of everyone.

"Take the empty seat on the third row, two chairs from the left," Yangyang said.

He then followed and sat in his seat, which was behind Haewon.

Yejin nudged him, "Where did she come from?"

"Uh, she said she was from Bucheon, and that her family recently relocated to Seoul," he whisppered.

"Oh, Yangyang, your socializing skills are improving~" Yejin teased.

"Shut up!" He rolled his eyes.

"Your ears are turning red, Yang," Yiyeon chuckled. "Perhaps, you have already find someone else?" She laughed.

"What the fuck, guys?"

***

"Oh, just look at him," Yejin snorted. "I wonder why he's suddenly all friendly with the new girl. I mean, we had other transferees before, but this is the first time that he's acting as if he cares a lot."

"Wait, who is she?" Jeongmin asked.

"A transferee from our class," Yiyeon answered.

"Oh, I see," Jeongmin said as she continued eating. "She looks pretty, not gonna lie. Her hair clips look nice on her, too."

The other girls nodded, "I agree." Yiyeon nodded. "Do you guys wanna make a bet?"

"What kind of bet, noona?" Sungchan asked.

"If Yangyang's relationship with Haewon esxalates by the end of the school year," she chuckled. "In short, if they start dating."

"Isn't that too bold of an assumption?" Daewon asked.

Jeno sighed, "Can't help but agree with Daewon, love. Being friendly won't mean something else, unless stated by Yangyang or Haewon themselves."

Yiyeon pouted, "Screw you, killjoys. What about you, Yejin? Jeongmin?"

"Hell, I'm in," Yejin smirked.

"Me, too." Jeongmin answered.

Sungchan, Daewon, and Jeno could only sigh.

***

"Oh shoot, I forgot."

Yiyeon looked at Jeno, who was seated beside him. "What did you forget this time?" She raised a brow.

"The basketball tryout starts today, and I remember that I'm the captain alreaddy..." he sighed.

"Why do you sound down?!" Yiyeon pulled his ears. "That's a good thing, you idiot!"

"A-Ah, ouch!  I know it's a good thing!" Jeno pouted. "But I wanna go to your house and play with Yeonseok, too. Besides, we'll have a dinner, right?" He sighed.

"You can still come at our house after your meeting with the team, you know?"

"I know, but"

"No buts, captain!"

"Why am I even here?" Jaemin scoffed.

It was just then that Jeno and Yiyeon remember that Jaemin was with them. They looked at him awkwardly as they continued talking.

***

The next morning

"Jeno-hyung, bye-bye!" Yeonseok waved his hands as he watched his sister walk towards Jeno. "Yiyeon-noona, bye-bye!" He yelled.

"Be a good boy, Yeonseok-ah!" Jeno said as he waved back.

The two of them boarded the bus which would take them to the school.

And to their surprise, when they arrived they saw their friends bickering as they enter the school premises. "Why am I surprised-but-not-really-surprised with Yejin and Daewon?" Jeno snorted.

"I know, right?" Yiyeon chuckled. "They have been this way even before they started dating, and I don't know if I should be worried or not."

Jeno sighed, "Well, i'm glad that even if we fight sometimes, we don't end up fighting that way." He chuckled as he held her hand. Then, he looked at her, "Here's to tomorrow?"

"As long as I'm with you. Always."
