Narrator's POV

"This was never supposed to happen! Firepaw was not meant to die!" Ivypool growled in frustration. Fernsong ran his starry tail slowly on her shoulder in comfort.

"Maybe Firestar had his reasons for stopping Firepaw's existence. The Dark Forest is rising again, and Firepaw had good information to give us." Ivypool whipped around, her dark blue eyes holding a rage no one could explain.

"I'm going to go speak with him." Fernsong opened his mouth to protest, but thought better of it. Ivypool had the right reasons to be mad. No one should have been interfering with Firepaw's fate. Not even Firestar.

Ivypool hissed at the thought of Moonpaw not fulfilling the prophecy. She was assigned to give the young she-cat advice, but could not do so if Moonpaw's loved ones died one by one. She leaped up the rocks that sided the waterfall in the old river. Soon enough, she arrived at the large stone den, the lichen glittering in the humid weather. She walked in furiously, and sat down, curling her tail neatly around her paws.

"Is there a problem, Ivypool?" His fiery coat peeked through the glittery, white stars that littered his pelt.

"Firestar! Would you mind explaining to me why you have interfered with Firepaw's fate?! He was not meant to die, and now, you have created an obstacle that Moonpaw is too weak to get past! She cannot fulfil the prophecy when her loved one's get carried off to who knows where! Who will be next? Ashstripe? Hawkstar? Foxkit?!" Firestar's coat bristled at the name of the next chosen one. She was not to be spoken of, even in Starclan.

"Be quiet! The Ancestors will bring their wrath upon us if they hear you speak of her. We will receive the prophecy in due time, but for now, Moonpaw's kit is nonexistent to us. As for Firepaw, I had to. Firepaw was too much of a distraction for Moonpaw. You will go to her tonight. Tell her what I told you, and report back to me. Now go! Moonpaw is waiting." Ivypool huffed, and leaped off the waterfall, crashing into the water, and swimming away. She hauled herslf onto the bank, and shook her fur, water droplets flying away from her leek, silver and white fur.

She quickly started running towards the direction of the vision border. The border between StarClan and the Dark Forest.

"Moonpaw, this better be good."
