Imagine Katherine trying to kill you because you're both in love with human!Stefan and she gets jealous

After confessing your feelings to Stefan and hearing that he felt somewhat the same way, you began living with a smile on your face and happiness in your heart. Everything seemed to be going great for you and him, except for one little thing - one gorgeous young woman to be precise. Katherine Pierce, who was still determined to get Stefan to herself, was growing more and more jealous by each day and you didn't know it yet, but the more you spent time with the Salvatores, the more your life was in danger.

You had told Stefan how you'd do anything for him, but you had never considered killing or being killed. Not yet, anyway.

It was a snowy day in December, near Christmas when your love for Stefan was really put to test. Would you really go through anything to be his, for him to be yours? Those questions haunted you, starting from the moment you left Stefan and bumped into Katherine on your way to home.

"Bye, Stef. I'll see you later", you spoke softly, and kissed his cheek before taking your first steps towards your house. House, which you dreamed to share with Stefan one day. You didn't get far on the snowy streets when you bumped into another woman, beautiful and kind as you were, though she was the complete opposite of kind on the inside. Katherine was a jealous bitch, but she had grown to live with it - and she wasn't even at the highest point of her personality yet. No, that'd be far from this day, but what wasn't far was your death she had been plotting for weeks now.

"Oh, Kat, hi", you greeted shyly. You and her hadn't talked since Stefan chose you over her, and you knew that things between you and her were awkward and there was an evident tension, threatening to break and lead into a fist fight at any moment. "How are you?", you tried to be friendly, but struggled to keep the smile alive. She was after all the girl you thought you lost Stefan to, and now, the very girl you stole Stefan from. Though you weren't sure could it be considered stealing when he, in a way, was yours to begin with. Perhaps she had stolen him from you and you just took him back, reminded him who was the best girl for him.

Perhaps true love just won, and that was all.

"Dandy. Couldn't be better. Except that I'm quite certain you stole my boyfriend from me. You know, I never understood what Stefan saw in you, but maybe he's just desperate, or blind, or dumb. Or maybe, he's with you out of pity", Katherine teased, an evil smirk on her lips. You couldn't control yourself anymore - you jumped onto her, smacked her against the wall which caused her to laugh, happy to see you burst like that. "Ah, I always knew you weren't so innocent, little Y/N. C'mon, let's fight, but I already know you can't win", she added, and opened her mouth while a pair of fangs grew out, confirming that she was something more than just a human.

"What the--", you began but before you could finish, she hit your head against the brick wall and you moaned out in pain. You would have fallen onto your knees, but Katherine grabbed you and held you in a chokehold while you squirmed and struggled to get away from her. She laughed evilly, her fangs still sticking out while her eyes turned dark and veins swam underneath - clearly she wasn't afraid of showing you her monstrous, dark side.

"I'm going to kill you, slowly, painfully, and when all that is left is your drained corpse after a nightmarish death, I will offer Stefan the comfort he needs. I'll tell him how I tried to save you but the vicious attacker just killed you in cold blood, and after Stefan and I have connected on an emotional level, it'll become physical. I'll show him things he couldn't even dream of with you. And when the time is right, I'll turn him into one of my kind", Katherine explained, smirking in satisfaction, it was obvious she was proud of her plan. You gasped for air, knowing your death was soon here because of the strong hold she had on you. Was this the way you'd die? Choked by a jealous girl? A vampire?

"I don't think so, you... bitch", you managed to let out, before placing both of your hands on her head and quickly snapping her neck. It was an instinct, something told you it would be the right thing to do and it turned out to save your life. Katherine fell onto the ground after the bones in her had cracked, and you dropped onto your feet while panting heavily. You had survived.

You struggled to believe that you had beaten a vampire, but it seemed real, after all she now remained dead at your feet on the snow. You caught your breath, and stared at Katherine's body, when you heard your name being called out from behind you. You turned around to see not only Stefan, but Damon too, and the both of them ran to you in shock and worry. Stefan pulled you into a hug and held you tightly, while Damon dropped to his knees, looking at Katherine in disbelief.

"Y/N, what the hell happened? Are you okay, doll?", Stefan breathed out, kissing the top of your head several times. You nodded slowly, and clutched onto his warm body tightly while breathing in his beautiful scent, trying to collect all your strength and power which his perfection seemed to offer.

"Katherine is a vampire. We need to do something about her, I don't think she's dead just yet. I'm alright though, she tried to kill me because she was jealous but I snapped her neck just in time", you explained, and looked into Stefan's gorgeous eyes. He opened his mouth to say something, but before he could, you smashed your lips against his and gave him an intense, loving kiss. Your hand went for his hair and you tugged on it gently while his hands went up your thighs and settled down on your hips. You could have continued for ages, but Damon, whose entire existence you had forgotten, strongly disagreed.

"Okay, that's enough, love birds. I'm happy you two have fallen in love with each other, because Y/N was a mess without you, Stef. But we need to do something about Katherine, now", Damon sighed and lifted the dead girl from the snow. You nodded after breaking the kiss, and gave Stefan a shy smile before walking to Damon and helping him carry Katherine.

You had a wonderful plan for her, really.

"What is this?"

You got up from the ground you had been sitting on, and walked over to the edge of the tomb in which you had locked Katherine with the help of a witch Damon had found. You smiled smugly at the vampire who tried to break free, only to realize she was stuck.

"This is payback, bitch. Have a nice life, Katherine", you grinned and waved goodbye to her before walking away.

She screamed, wanting to be let out but you weren't going to obey. You had locked her in for a reason, and if she'd ever get out, it wouldn't be by your hand. All you felt towards Katherine nowadays was hate and when you didn't know how to kill her for good, you'd find other ways to cause her misery.

You and Stefan were guaranteed to have a happy future, even if Katherine would eventually get out of the tomb. But right now, she was away and you and Stefan were capable of living happily together without a worry in sight.
