Imagine finding out your boyfriend Kol cheated on you with Davina but he realizes he's made a massive mistake

"Kol, I'm home!"

Oh, how you later ended up regretting saying those words. Or even coming home. With you being clueless, you walked up the stairs only to be met by a girl you used to be good friends with. You stood eye to eye with Davina Claire, with whom you had gotten along well, until you saw her standing there with just her underwear and one of Kol's shirts on. Your heart dropped - it didn't take you long to realize what had happened.

"Y-Y/N", Davina stuttered, trying to mend the situation somehow, but there was nothing she could do. You gave her a look of disgust, and then glanced down at your feet while breathing in and out heavily and trying to calm yourself down. Davina knew you loved Kol and that you had been dating him for two years now, yet there she was, guilty and clearly just out of bed where you expected Kol to still be.

"Just shut up", you mumbled, and walked to the bedroom where you did find Kol, pulling a pair of sweatpants on. He didn't notice you at first, but as soon as you had taken the lamp of the nightstand and smashed it against his back with might and power, he definitely did. Kol fell onto the floor, and looked at who had hit him, causing shock and fear to spread into his eyes and expression. He obviously wasn't expecting you to come home this soon.

"Pack your shit and get out of here. The both of you. I don't want to see you two ever again", you told peacefully, though the look on your face meant that you weren't joking and therefore Kol quickly picked up his most important things and then left the room. He tried to say something, but before he could, you slammed the door to his face. It became quiet, except for the footsteps that walked to the front door and then outside.

As Davina and Kol took the walk of shame away from your house, you threw your mattress and the sheets out of the window, aiming to hit them both and managing to do so. They both looked up, and when they saw you, you showed them your middle finger and then shut the window. You were seriously planning on burning the house down, it was ruined now, stained and disgraced. You felt hatred on such a deep level you dreamed of tearing Davina's limbs off one by one, and then daggering Kol and throwing him at the bottom of an ocean.

Goddamn, you so hated that little witch bitch and the Original brat.

Your anger took an abrupt turn, when the situation really hit you, and you understood that you lost your boyfriend of two years. Your beautiful relationship broke, just like that. He was willing to toss it away to fuck around with Davina? You hated it, but it also made you sad and you fell onto your butt on the floor and tugged on your hair while sobbing with no control. You brought your knees up to your chest, and cried against your palms while rocking back and forth, trying to calm yourself down but the feelings were consuming you.

You didn't even know how long Kol and Davina had been doing it for, and the more you thought about it, the more you wanted to throw up. You curled up into a ball on the floor, and in the dark corner, you tried to fall asleep to make the horrible emotions go away but all you could think of, and see in front of your eyes, was your boyfriend screwing someone else. Your boyfriend, who had once talked about getting married. Your boyfriend, who had sworn to never hurt you. Your boyfriend, who had made you feel like the only girl in the world.

Well, ex-boyfriend now.

Hours later, you woke up on the same spot on the floor when your phone rang for the millionth time. You saw Kol's name on the screen after picking up the phone from the floor, and since he had called twenty-five times and sent thirty messages, you decided to pick up but not to forgive him. God, you would probably never forgive. You couldn't.

"Yes?", you cleared your throat, trying to sound confident, brave and strong as you spoke. Kol sighed in relief when he heard your voice, but you only got more and more annoyed with each second.

"Y/N, you have to believe me, it was a massive mistake. I do not know what drove me to it, but darling, I love you and only you! I am aware of how insane this sounds, and how hard it is to believe but I am in love with you. We talked about marriage, love! Being with Davina was the biggest mistake of my entire long life, and I promise I will never do anything hurt you again. Please, Y/N", Kol begged, trying to get to your good side, and when you chuckled somewhat fondly, he thought you had forgiven him already. But he was seriously wrong.

"Fuck you, Kol", you coldly replied, "you make me want to die. But even more I want it to you."

The next three days you spent indoors, in your cold, sad room with some ice cream, pizza and movies and songs to fit your mood. You tried to play it cool whenever Kol tried to contact you in any way, and gave a confident image to him and Davina who had tried to call you too, but inside you were a wreck. And truthfully, on the outside too. You hadn't showered in days, and you had only moved to get more food or to use the toilet. You were broken, and it was all Kol's fault. And Davina's, who used to be such a fabulous friend but you had now seen that it was all an act to get near Kol. Probably.

You hadn't talked to anyone in ages, except Channing Tatum on your TV screen, and people were starting to get worried about you. One over all, though - Kol. You weren't going to forgive him, though it did hurt to live without him, obviously you didn't know how anymore, but you were going to learn. One day, perhaps.

But it was true that he did love you, and he regretted that one time with Davina and knew that it would never happen again, but he feared that neither would you and him. He feared that he had lost you for good, and he hated it. He needed you in his life, but it did truly seem like he wasn't going to get you back.

Then on one day, your phone rang again, and you didn't even bother to look at the caller since it was most likely Kol. But then you received dozens of messages and it irritated you to the point where you had to check them out.

dumb mofo: i am serious love, look out yourwindow or come to the front door

dumb mofo: y/n

dumb mofo: y/n you know i hate texting so please

Y/N: WHAT IS IT KOL

Y/N: i will absolutely not come outside you're making me laugh this was the greatest joke i've heard in a long time lol i am so not coming to meet you

Y/N: i don't want to see you

Y/N: fuck off kol

dumb mofo: you are not laughing, you are about to cry, i know, love

dumb mofo: i'll let you snap my neck once or twice if you agree to come out and hear me out

Y/N: i'll be there in two seconds

You dragged yourself downstairs, and swung open the front door to see Kol waiting with a smile on his lips and a bouquet of your favorite flowers in his hands. He handed them to you, and slightly unwillingly you took them and put them in the kitchen before allowing him to come inside since you definitely didn't want to be outside for people to see you with your looks being what you could expect after three days of crying and beating yourself down.

"Well I'm here now. Dazzle me", you rolled your eyes and made Kol chuckle.

"Always so sarcastic", he whispered, and raised his hands to place it gently on your cheek but you took a step back and gave him a warning look. You had agreed to hear what he had to say, which was not the same thing as forgiving and welcoming him with open arms. If anything, you were uncomfortable and hated standing there with him. Although you did kind of miss him, but after what he did to you, you weren't feeling very merciful.

Kol sighed, and gave you an apologetic look. "I am truly regretful, my darling. I wish I could go back in time and undo my actions, but I can't, and therefore I must live with the pain I have caused. Not only for you, love, but for myself. I love you, and it makes me ache to not be with you. I need you, I have been struggling quite the amount without you by my side. I'm sorry, Y/N", he explained, and as much as you wanted to throw your arms over his shoulders and kiss the life out of him, you only nodded slowly and kept the cold look in your eyes steady and serious.

"Well", you started, and licked your dry lips briefly, "I can't forgive you, Kol. Not yet, at least. But, I, uh, I could use company. So, you could maybe come upstairs and watch some movies with me? I was indeed in the middle of Magic Mike." Kol laughed, but wouldn't say no to such an offer. So he nodded in agreement, and promised to watch the mentioned movie with you even if he didn't exactly enjoy nearly naked men dancing in front of his face, but you did.

"Let's just hope the movie doesn't lead us to something unexpected", he grinned mischievously, earning a chuckle from you.

"No need to worry. I don't have a bed."
