Chapter 4: Pictures

"Already has a little makeup on her face,
Looks in the mirror

"Okay, I think I don't look bad today, let's take a picture!"

Takes the picture and checks it

"But th-that's not how I look like in the m-mirror..."

Disappointingly deletes the pic and throws her phone away."

How familiar ... Isn't it?

That's the process of an unlucky human trying to take a picture/selfie of herself.

I don't know about the lucky people,
But we unlucky ones take a day off for taking a decent photo of ourselves.

It's not like that we're too ugly, but we at least want to look like the way the mirror shows it to us!

Although with those applications like Snapchat, anybody hardly ever tries to take their selfie with the normal camera.

I mean, of course, everyone would like to look even better than their "mirror version" self.

Also, it does your make and put on contact lenses.

I, for example, bought a kinda expensive contact lenses, which they really look natural, for myself.

But then I downloaded those apps and saw how their virtual contact lenses look even better than the real ones.

I just wish somebody had told me before buying those-

In one hand you don't have to pay for this stuff anymore when you can have different filters but on the other hand,

it's making everything fake, you know?

Like everything looks photoshopped.

I don't know to be honest, it has pros and cons but after getting used to a version of you that is so perfect and looks so much better than your mirror version,

You won't accept yourself anymore.

Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Let's get to the levels of this unluckiness.

Lucky unlucky:

They look pretty in the mirror, and they'd also looked good in the pictures if they found their best pose.

Quite unlucky: They somewhat look good in the mirror, but their photos always do them dirty. But hey, that's what Snapchat is for! Am I right-?

Normal Unlucky: In the mirror? Meh, not bad. In the photos? Let's not talk about it.
But if they find their pose in Snapchat, it kinda works.

Real unlucky: Mirror? Don't talk about.
Photos? Don't even dare to mention it.
Snapchat? Meh, maybe.

(It has been said that they have burned and destroyed a few phones and cameras out of anger).

Anyway, if you're paying too much attention to your face and your look,

It's just a normal phase in your teenage years.

Don't get too much caught up in it,
And remind yourself that the inside matters the most.

Love yourself and stay away from the people who try to persuade you to change yourself, physically and mentally.

You are unique the way you truly are, you weren't born in this world to live for your face/body.
This body has been given to you to seek the truths of this world.
