Here's another chapter.

As the door opened, all heads turned to see about thirty girls from the ages of 14 to 18 standing in the door way, wearing exquisite dresses to enhance there beauty. They were dressed to catch the Vampires' attention. Some dresses were too revealing , I noticed with disdain as I refilled the glasses.

Still feeling confused I continued my duties as the Vampires started bestowing their attention to the girls.

At the start they were shy and hesitated but as the evening unfolded, so did they. They shed their shyness and wore the cloak of confidence and shamelessly leaned on the Vampires to capture their interest.

I noted these changes with disgust and sneered as one of them bumped with me causing the drinks to spill a little.

I huffed as I raised my gaze and froze as my eyes met 'him'.

Looking majestic in his dark green robes he looked like no other Vampire here.
His clothes and the jewellery he wore spoke of old wealth.
Meaning he's no ordinary Vampire.

But what really caused me to panic was the look he was giving me, like trying to remember me.

"Lord Jaden" some one interrupted him allowing me to unfreeze and hide myself among the various guests. Straining my ears I tried to hear their conversation.

"Lord Jaden, is something wrong?"
"Nothing" answered 'lord Jaden' with a chuckle "and there's no need for formality Drake. After all we are old friends."

"Well then, would you tell me what's bothering you and please don't bother to lie. You've been distracted for the whole month." Inquired the other lord.

"Saw a rare and beautiful creature during on of my visits to the town but it escaped  before I could capture it" he sounded remorseful but there was a promise in his words which caused a a shiver to run down my spine.

"What does this creature look like?"

"A beauty with long golden hair. I only got a glimpse before it ran away."

Anger bubbled inside me at his words. 'How dare he describe me like I'm some sort of animal. Thank God I ran away back than otherwise only God knows what he could have done to me.

"Have you chosen someone to feed from tonight?" I froze once again at these words.

"A boy has caught my interest but I would prefer to taste a virgin girl tonight. Him I can have at anytime." I bolted from there before he even finished his sentence.

My initial plan which consisted of helping these girls flew out of the window at his words. I had a strong feeling that he was talking about me. In that case the quicker I left, the quicker I'll be safe.

The guards at the doors of the great hall let me pass which I was great full for.

That night was pure hell for me. Laying there in my bed, shaking like a leaf I covered my ears a scream tore through the silence of night.

It wasn't the first nor would it be the last.

Today was the full red moon which came once every year. So to celebrate it the Vampires preyed on young virgins.

To keep the peace and the damage limited, surrounding towns and villages offered what the the vampires desired on the silver platter.

So today these Vampires will have there way with their preys without a care. They will drink their blood to quench their thirst and will tear away their innocence to satisfy their lust.

They could do anything to the human girls as long as they didn't turned them.
For that they needed the king's permission otherwise they would be executed.

Not forgetting Lord Jaden I promised to renew my efforts to escape otherwise he would either keep me here like a prisoner or suck me dry.

"Bloody blood suckers." I hissed softly as the land of sleep sweetly called out to me. Soon I drifted to sleep with Steely grey eyes haunting my dreams.
