Okay, so in Legends of Tomorrow (part of the CW Superhero Crossover) the government made a deal with the aliens - the aliens will leave if Barry Allen gets turned over to the aliens. Barry, being the hero he is, decides to do it - only to be stopped by everyone, including Cisco, (who had been angry with him about Flashpoint before Cisco went and almost endangered more people). In the end they save the day and stuff.

But my question is this: What if Barry HAD turned himself over? Well, yeah, he would have died. There's no doubt in that.

But how would the others react?

Okay, Iris would be devastated - so would Kara, Wally, and Joe.

But the others - those who aren't close to Barry. How would they feel? Depressed? Sad?

And Cisco.... Cisco, who had blamed Barry for Dante's death. (Dante is Cisco's older brother who didn't get along with him until he died.) He was angry that Barry manipulated several lives.

But Cisco went back in time, got an alien kidnapped, and potentially endangered millions of lives.

And if, say Barry gave himself up, it might destroy Cisco - the man who had just forgiven his best friend but could never apologize to him?

And Oliver... How would he react? Because I think Oliver cares for Barry like a brother, and that might damage his psyche even more - Laurel died, his parents died, and Thea died for a little bit (she came back through the Lazarus Pit).

Okay, now that would be a really, really dark AU.
