Chapter Twenty Two
"Oh no." The General whispered. Where had she gone? Was she taken? Killed? Had... Had she abandoned him? He felt a naming pain in his shoulder.
His turned, slicing the zombie through its side.
"AHH!" He cried out in pain. As the zombie hit the ground, only then did the infection kick in, giving the real stabbing pain.
Tears began to streak down his cheeks. Holding his shoulder, he fell to the ground beside the killed zombie, still dissolving into code.
The monsters began to surrounding him.
----------
"Help me! Someone!" The Snow Girl cried. When Sky was fighting, a zombie had begun to drag her away.
"Help! Pl-Please!" The zombie threw her against a tree.
Her head ached. The zombie growled. Was she going to ever escape?
Then she herd a different growl. One she was not familiar with.
She peeped her eye open.
There standing beside her was a wolf. It yipped and whimpered, curious of why she was in pain.
Then she remembered something in her pocket. She reached for it.
Bones.
The zombie was inches from her face. With such little time, she panicked.
She hit the dog.
Oh no! Had she set it off against her? Had she fed it the wrong way?
If this was the case, it was certain death.
The zombie bit into the side of her skull. She screamed in pain.
But the zombie was gone. How was it gone.
She felt a wetness on her head. It stung, because it was warm.
She opened her eyes once again.
It was the wolf.
No.
Dog.
She began to cry in joy, and hugged the panting dog.
She squeezed.
"Wait a minute!" She pushed herself up, with her hands on her head. The dog followed.
She turned the bend, back to where she had been dragged from.
There he was.
The zombies were surrounding him. Some on there knees as they began to naw at his legs.
The Snow Girl tried to pull the bow up to shoot, but she felt no strength, no matter what terror and panic she was feeling for Sky. Especially the fact that she was beginning to fade because of the bleeding.
She was going to have to scream something.
"YOOOOOOOOSSSSSSOOOOOOOOO" pulling the bow the arrow flew, she hit a zombie in the skull.
The dog lunged itself at the zombie. Feeling power run through her she ran to the horde and began to punch them in the jaws with her with fists, kicking them where the sun don't shine(Should it shine anywhere?), thought it could have been much easier if she had pulled her ice sword, but she was too dizzy to think.
The dog finished each each mob off, until no groaning was herd. Just the sound of the general breathing.
"General Sky!" She screamed. She got to her knees beside him, trying to shake him awake by his arms. She looked back down at his leg. It was oozing blood, and something sticky and green. His other was almost has bad.
"Wake up! Wake up! Oh! please!" She began to weep bitterly. "Wake up!"
Her face fell on his chest as she sobbed. He hugged him. She could hear his heart still beating.
He sat up abruptly, gasping in fright at the sight of her weeping over him.
He jumped to his feet, but fell again to the ground in pain. She tried to help him up, but he pushed her away.
"Don't touch me! DO NOT touch me!" He wobbled to stand once again.
Gaining enough strength from anger he towered over The Snow Girl.
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND? WHAT WERE YOU DOING OUT HERE IN THE WOODS?!?!"
Tears began to streak from her face again.
"I... I..." She quivered.
"WE COULD HAVE DIED!" He stormed off, limping.
"H-h-here. Let me help yo-"
"NO! Get off of me! Get away from me!"
He walked away, his back arched and his fists curled. The Snow Girl followed him. But began to fall behind dew to her lose of blood.
After not hearing her foot steps, General Sky turned around to see the girl with her hands on her knees. He stormed toward her.
"If it's anyone who needs help, it's you!" He put his good arm around her shoulder, careful not to touch her head.
But after a few moments, she fell into a deep sleep.
"Urgh." He cursed under with breath, and carried the girl bridal style to the sorcerer's tent.
