Real Talk
I understand you guys expect an update on the story... and I want to give you one. The thing is, I don't want to give you something I didn't put full effort into because it is less enjoyable for you and me. It will be physically evident in my writing that something is off.
And that's because... something is off. It's time to get real. This book will be finished, but I'm not going to finish a half effort, I'm going to finish it with a bang.
The real part is that I'm human just like everyone else. I have all sorts of issues in real life that gets hidden in my online persona when I write. And at this point I can't hold it in anymore. I'm like one of those dams that hold up this well of emotion that just explodes when it can't take it anymore.
The fact that I am admitting I just had an emotional breakdown to internet strangers is surprising me. I wait until I'm alone before I let out all the emotions.
While I may feel battered in the wind, I know that I will still be strong. But strong doesn't mean I force myself to do something for the sake of doing it. I am going through a journey as I write this, one I hope you wander with me.
Some of you have taken your own paths, others have forged them in the thick growth, powering through. Me? I'm just like the rest of you, and I've hit a bump on the road. I've fallen and injured myself. But I'm getting back up again.
I know some of you are younger audiences and haven't hit that part of the road where you have to give up things of your childhood. I would encourage you, don't lose your playfulness. Matureness comes with time, but you can be mature and silly. Don't lose sight of what makes you, you. Let your colors shine.
With that, I shall give you a little writing that I have done for this book. Remember not to forget.

"I don't like this." Ryan hissed out of the corner of his mouth.
They were currently in a park surrounded by pine trees. Nick was in his morph, hidden in the bushes, his stare unblinking.
"Of course you don't like it, you're the bait." Ollie hissed from the leaf he was perched on. He was hidden as a dragonfly, holding the tracker that Chloe had thrown together. The tracker was no bigger than a speck of dust, easily held by his tiny dragonfly legs.
"Why did I have to be the bait?" Ryan glanced around nervously. It was his job to draw as much attention to the area as possible, trying to get one of Chris' brothers henchmen to come. Then Ollie would fly in and plant the tracker while Ryan transformed and booked it. Nick would then teleport them all back before they could be traced.
As it would be rather suspicious if animals started talking out of nowhere, Chloe also devised a com system that would fit Ollie's tiny morph and Nick's large one. That way they could communicate if they were ever outside of hearing range as well.
"Because you're the most recognizable out of all of us." Nick replied through the com. The reply was received by a barely perceptible muttering from Ryan.
"Why did I have to start a world wide company... Why."
It was very eerie at the park, not a soul was seen. No birds chirped, no squirrels darted across branches. There wasn't even a bug in the air to be found. It was almost like disaster was about to strike.
"How do we know that they will know that Ryan is here?" Nick asked over the com-link. It was a valid question, but from Ollie's experience and planning, he had no doubt that they would find Ryan. They had spies everywhere.
No one answered the question as their attention was quickly diverted to a raven swooping in and landing on a tree. It eyed Ryan beadily before letting out a crow.
"That's gonna be our signal." Ollie whispered. "Prepare yourself." He himself tensed up his muscles, preparing to fly, attach the tracker and get to Nick as fast as possible. Ollie was sure that Ryan was doing the same, as he had the more nerve racking of jobs.
Another raven swept in as well as a sparrow. It was clear they were not short on morphs. But how had so many fallen under this crooked belief?
One second passed. Then another. One of the ravens let out a call before going silent, all the while staring at Ryan. The sparrow flitted to another branch, not losing sight of the clearing.
