The Next Day - Tatsuyu's POV

I walk down the street reading my book.

"TATSU!" Lee yells and I turn around and go the opposite way as him, but he chases me and he stops next to me. "How are you today?" Lee asks me with a grin.

"The same as every time I answer you." I say to him as we walk and then Guy-Sensei and Kakashi see us and so does Naruto and me and Kakashi just read. "Hello Kakashi, Guy-Sensei, Naruto." I say with a small nod.

"Tatsuyu." Kakashi says to me.

"Oh my gawd! You two, look like a smaller version of them!" Naruto yells at me and Lee.

Me and Kakashi look up at him while Guy-Sensei and Lee grin.

"We do?" I ask and Naruto look at me as if I were stupid. "Anyways, Naruto, I was on my way to find you, Lady-"

"Found you three." Shikamaru says to us as Guy-Sensei and Lee run off.

My eye twitches in annoyance. "Shikamaru, I was-"

"What'd you want Shikamaru?" Naruto asks him.

I turn around and I start walking with my hands in my pockets as those three talk.

"Huh? Where'd Tatsuyu go?" Kakashi asks as I round the corner, out of their sights and I can't hear them any more.

I head to the library and I hand my book in that I borrowed and the lady nods to me and I walk around the Library, looking for another book and I just start getting some history books and I sit at a table and I start reading. After a couple hours, someone sets a bento next to me and I look up surprised and I see Lady Tsunade and she looks at me with an amused look.

"You've been here all day?" Lady Tsunade asks me.

"Considering I had nothing better to do, I thought I might read up on a couple subjects." I say to her and she sits next to me.

"What are you reading up on?" Lady Tsunade asks curious and I show her the books.

"The Rinnegan, the Sage of Six Paths, The God Tree, and anything else related to those subjects." I say to her.

"Why?" Lady Tsunade asks me.

I look at the book. "The Leader of the Akatsuki, he has the Rinnegan and I want to be able to counter that if I ever came into contact with him, I don't want to end up like Jiraiya and I don't want anyone else to end up like him." I say and Lady Tsunade smiles.

"Your just like your Great Grandfather you know, from what I remember, he was just as serious as protecting everyone in the village, just like you." Lady Tsunade says to me.

I stare at her slightly surprised and she places the bento between us.

"Why don't we share this?" Lady Tsunade asks me.

"Lady Tsunade, you have work to do." Shizune whines.

"Shizune!" Lady Tsunade orders her and she shuts up.

I look inside the bento and I take out a sandwich. "I'll just take this for now, Shizune is right, you do have work to do, but, you should eat." I say to her and the two look at me. "While as I, have a lot of studying to do." I say and Lady Tsunade nods and smiles amused as she gets up and takes the rest of the bento with her and the two leave.

I eat the sandwich while I read and after a long couple hours later, the librarian walks over to me.

"Ma'am, its closing time." She says to me.

I nod and I get up and I grab the books I need and I walk to the counter with her and I check the books out and I head home and TenTen and Lee stop me.

"Nu-Uh, you are not gonna spend forever studying in your apartment!" TenTen objects to me and I stop to look at them.

"And why not?" I ask her.

"Because, you get cut off from the world and that isn't healthy." TenTen says to me.

I sweat drop. "That's the point of a study lock down." I say to her.

"Well anyways, we wanted to train with you." TenTen says to me.

"And I want to study alone and have dinner, alone." I say to her and Lee grins.

"You need to eat to be healthy! That is your power of youth!" Lee says to me and I nod and I do a hand sign.

I disappear in a pool of water and I appear outside my apartment and I unlock my door and I walk in and I nearly trip over Panda, but I dodge her and I close the door, just before she could get out.

I smile amused at her and I set my books down in the living room and I head to the kitchen and I open the pantry door and I pull out the kitten food and I pour some more in her bowl and I refill her water, to which, she was very pleased with.

"Panda, you cause so much trouble, sometimes I wonder why the Land Lady hasn't bothered to kick us out yet." I say to her as I pet her head and she starts eating.

I open the fridge and I pull out the leftover chowder from yesterday night and I set it on the counter. I shut the fridge door and I heat up some of the chowder in a bowl and I put the rest back in the fridge and I make myself some tea.

Once I'm done eating, I take my books to my room and I sit at my desk with Panda sleeping on my lap and I continue studying and sometime during the night I fall asleep with my head in my arms on my desk.

The Next Day

"Aww, look how cute she is."

"I hope your talking about Panda." I mutter.

"Oh, no, I was talking about you."

I sit up and Panda jumps off my lap and heads to the kitchen where her food is and I stretch in my seat and I look at Neji and TenTen. "Why are you in my apartment?" I ask them.

"TATSU!" Lee yells running in and I raise a very unamused eyebrow.

"Again, why are you in my apartment?" I ask.

"Reasons." TenTen says to me.

I get up and I start pushing them to the door. "Well, if you won't say, then your going, I fell asleep studying, so I need to finish studying, even if it takes a few days, I'm busy, so go away." I say, purposely pushing Neji's blind spot so he can't resist.

"Oh come on, won't you do anything with us?" TenTen asks me.

"So long, farewell, partings are such sweet sorrow and all that jazz, I'm busy learning so when the leader of the Akatsuki ever crosses my path, I can take him down with out getting killed myself, bye bye." I say pushing them out the door and I swipe TenTen's key before I shut the door and I lock it. 

I pick Panda up and I set her down in her bed before I could trip on her and I head to the kitchen and I make myself some breakfast while Panda rubs up against my leg.

"Panda, I want to eat too." I say to her as I plate my foot and I sit and eat while she jumps up on the counter and rubs against my face before I let her eat some of my toast that I break off for her.

I finish eating and I watch her eat the rest of my toast as I wash my dishes and my pans.

I then walk to the bathroom with her following me and I fill the sink up with water and I set her in it and she hisses annoyed and I grab the cat shampoo and I start washing her fur, massaging it and she soon relaxes into it. After a while, I finish washing her and I towel dry her for the most part before I blow dry the rest and I drain the water and I take her to my bedroom where he other bed (also known as my pillow) is. I set her down I pull out a purple collar with the Leaf Village crest on it and it has my home address and name and her name on it and I put the collar on her and she lays down.

I head to the bathroom again and I take a nice long shower and once I'm done, I change into a dark blue sweater and black pajama pants and I put on some fuzzy socks and I start towel drying my hair and I get most of it done and I let my hair stay as flat as a slate.

I head to my bedroom again and I sit at my desk and I continue studying.

The Next Day

Someone knocks on my door and I wake up from sleeping at my desk and someone knocks on my door again and I look at the time before I get up and I walk to the door with Panda following me and I open it to see Yamato and Sai. I raise an eyebrow as I lean on the door, picking Panda up before she could run outside.

"What do you two want?" I ask.

"We have a mission." Yamato says to me.

I blink. "Pass, I'm studying right now." I say to them.

"Nu-uh Tatsu." Naruto says to me and I deadpan.

"Where did you even come from?" I ask and Panda hisses at him in annoyance while her tail is fluffed out.

"CAT!" Naruto yells and Panda jumps out of my arms and down the hall.

My eye twitches in annoyance and I hit him on the head before I close the door. "Naruto you idiot!" I say annoyed and I run to catch up with Panda who nearly gets trampled by a hoard of girls, but I stop them and they crash into each other and I see Panda gone.

"Looking for this?" Kakashi asks holding Panda in one hand who's desperately trying to escape.

"Yes, thanks Kakashi." I say and I take Panda from him and she calms down seeing its me. "Naruto scared her frantic, he, Yamato and Sai told me we had a mission, I declined, Naruto yelled at Panda because she's a cat, and she jumped out of my arms and ran as fast as she possibly could with me trying to catch her." I say as I move my bangs out of my face with one hand and Panda raises a paw trying to paw my hair and Kakashi just smiles amused.

"Yeah, well, I was looking for you anyways, Lady Tsunade wants you." Kakashi says to me and I nod.

"Thanks Kakashi." I say to him and he nods and continues walking and I head to the Hokage office. I knock a few times before walking inside to see her and Shizune there. "You wanted me?" I ask her.

"Yes, how has your studying been going?" Lady Tsunade asks me then see's my hair as flat as a steel plate and Panda in my arms and I'm still in my comfortable clothes.

"I have no idea, I fall asleep sometime during the night, wake up to people in my apartment or knocking on my door and then taking care of Panda and so on, I've gotten half way done with the books, they're just really, really, really long." I say to her and she nods.

Shikamaru walks in and see's me, blinks, then looks at Lady Tsunade. "Who is this?" Shikamaru asks pointing to me.

"Its Tatsuyu." Lady Tsunade says to him.

"No, Tatsuyu doesn't look half dead, her hair isn't flat and she never goes out in public in her pajama's." Shikamaru says to her.

My bangs fall between my eyes again and I push them back behind my ear. "Well I'm sorry I've been too busy studying the past couple days and that Panda ran out of my apartment no thanks to Naruto's loudness, as for my hair, it can be flat sometimes too, y'know, not to mention, I'm up late and waking up early every morning the past couple days due to studying, so, if you value your life, shut up and be smart for once." I say to him slightly annoyed, my fur already ruffled from Naruto, Yamato and Sai.

"Something got in her breakfast today." Choji says walking in.

"I haven't eaten yet today." I say to him.

"Could be the reason why." Choji says to me.

I raise an eyebrow at Lady Tsunade. "Anyways, why did you actually want me Lady Tsunade?" I ask her.

"You've been cooped up in your apartment the past couple days, you need a break." Lady Tsunade says to me with a smirk.

"A break?" I ask her. "When do I get one of those hm?" I ask her and she smiles amused.

"Yeah, yeah, I get it, you've been busy." Lady Tsunade says to me.

"Yeah, mission after mission after mission and other in village things." I say to her and Panda jumps from my arms to Lady Tsunade's desk and skids across, effectively removing papers and she jumps down into Lady Tsunade's lap and lays down. "Panda." I say to her and Lady Tsunade laughs.

"Was that a cat?" Shikamaru asks me.

"Yes, specifically my cat, err, Kitten." I say and Shikamaru nods.

"Tatsuyu, I order you, to go home and get dressed." Lady Tsunade says to me and I legit fall.

"Why?" I ask as I get up.

"Because, your going on a mission, the Sand Village's academy needs a teacher for a few days and they want one of my top Jonin." Lady Tsunade says to me.

"Eh?" I ask confused and Shikamaru just looks dumfounded. "Why me? I have no teaching experience." I ask her.

"Yeah, shouldn't someone like me or Choji go?" Shikamaru asks.

Lady Tsunade smirks and I see regret pass through Shikamaru. "You Shikamaru, will go with her." Lady Tsunade says to him.

"Excuse me?" I ask her.

"Your excused, go get ready, your to leave in an hour and be there by sundown." Lady Tsunade says to us.

"This is just, great, come on Panda." I say to her and she jumps from Lady Tsunade's lap to the ground and she licks her chest and walks over to me like a little lady, which she is, she walks past me and past everyone and I pick her up before she could leave. "Cats, they always have a mind of their own." I say and I walk out of the room and I head back to my apartment and I set her down in her bed and I summon Kiara. "Kiara, take Panda to the pride will you?" I ask as I take her collar off.

"Alright." Kiara says to me and she picks up Panda and disappears in a poof.

I get changed into my mission clothes, I grab my satchel bag and I head to the gates where Shikamaru is waiting and we both sigh and I ruffle my hair to look normal again and we head out.
