Anaveil💛Adonis AU

Authors Note: Cinneryn and I ship it hard AF. Fun fact the gif above is actually sign language for I love you. Quite fitting since Anaveil has had to use sign language or a notebook to communicate with Adonis because of her "Confuse us" curse. The following role-play excerpt is rated T for Teen or Those twelve years old and younger be gone. You were warned.

Ana sits on her and Adonis' queen sized bed with her hands clasped in her lap. Heart buzzing, buzzing inside her chest with joy and excitement. Their whole lives were going to change. Not to the same degree as the day she married Adonis. Her wedding day was and forever would be the happiest day of her life. This is the day, or rather tomorrow since it's at midnight, the day she's free with something that she'd struggled with since birth. She would be able to accurately communicate what she wanted to with her voice as most people did. The only downside was not having as much time to think of answers to questions. That's merely a minor con in a sea of pros. Anaveil smiled knowing all the struggles and hard work would finally end.

Adonis nervously took last looks in the mirror at himself, mainly his face. How different would he look without his curse? It's admittedly superficial to worry about his appearance. Form or body shape wise he would be the same in appearance. His question wasn't brought about by any vanity on his part. The question on his mind was more a wondering of how Anaveil would feel about a drastic change. She fell in love with him as he was now. What if she wasn't attracted to him after the change or didn't see him as himself anymore? When his eyes weren't bright gold, body as hard smooth and chiseled, as well as having gold skin in general and platinum hair. Adonis had been hearing her voice for years already, now he would just actually understand what she was saying. Ana on the other hand had no idea what to expect of the transformation since she'd never seen him as anything but this. Still this is what he wanted, despite his fears and doubts, to feel and see clearly is all he ever wanted since before he met Ana. Everyday since the spell was discovered he thought of it obsessively... but not this specifically. How Anaveil would feel, he thought about for years. How Anaveil might feel about him after his change, only just occurred to him.

Ana took in a breath and closed her eyes; inhale, exhale slowly, and again. Opening her eyes she looked up at the mirror above their bed to see Adonis looking at her, sparkling gold eyes glistening. She smiled at him and felt around beside her for his hand. Once she found it, she clasped it and intertwined their fingers. "OK?" His wife signed to him, trying to decipher what the look on his face was. Nervousness perhaps?

Adonis noticed his hand being moved around and brought it up close to see her delicate fingers intertwined with his. He'd long ago stopped his pride from keeping him from being totally honest with her. So he confessed, "I'm okay now here with you... However I'm concerned about after this" the word he was going to use was afraid. He didn't want to lead her to believe he thought she was superficial. When you spend your life associating something with a specific image, then it changes dramatically it's possible it feels more foreign than familiar. You may not like the change and it's possible you never will. "Things will be different for you and I both. Will you still see me as myself, when I'm different? I won't feel or look the same to you."

Ana took in another deep breath and sighed. Lifting up his hand up to her lips and kissed the back of it gently. Turning her head to look at him directly she shook her head no. Trying to convey how he had gotten it all wrong. Turning completely towards him as well as freeing her hand so she could sign to him properly. "SWEETHEART, I LOVE YOU. THAT NOT CHANGE BECAUSE YOUR SKIN NOT GOLD. IF YOU NOT LOOK-LIKE SAME, DOESN'T MATTER. YOU MY ADONIS. YOU ALWAYS MY ADONIS. YES TWO OF US WILL BE DIFFERENT BUT OUR LOVE NOT CHANGE. WE ARE SAME PEOPLE." She leaned over and kissed his cheek. "SOON YOU WILL FEEL MY KISS, FOR THIS I HAPPY" she said excitedly looking over her shoulder to read the time. 11:28, She felt a rush of joy and wished time would go faster.

Sweet words he fully understood after years of learning sign language. A smile spread like smooth butter across his golden face. "My Ana if you're busy kissing me how will I get you to talk? I'm very eager to hear you say all sorts of words. Adonis, yes, harder, and don't stop are just the first things to come to mind." He reached out and played with the ends of her hair looking at her through platinum lashes. Being a gold man he had to be very gentle with her at all times. It would be a relief to 'loosen the reigns' after this.

She was leaned against him and looking up at his lips over forming words in tandem with his voice. His voice so deep and rich. She loved hearing him say her name. Her sweet and innocent smile made as far as 'yes' then her breath hitched in her throat as she realized that he meant. Her face went red and she looked down at her lap again. She looked back at him and pushed her hair behind her ear before signing. "WHATEVER WISH MY HUSBAND HAVE FOR HIS FIRST TOUCH EXPERIENCE WILL BE MY PLEASURE TO FULFILL. I WILL SAY YOUR NAME AND ANYTHING YOU WANT" she signed, smirking up at him. A smirk that was specific to her, it seemed innocent but was really quite animalistic down somewhere deep.

That pleasant fire she has within is a treat. It reminded him of their first kiss, a fond memory. After these five years it wasn't in his top ten but it was a milestone none the less. A milestone between them was about to happen again. "IT WILL BE LIKE KISSING YOU FOR THE FIRST TIME AGAIN, TIMES HUNDRED. ENJOY SIGN WHILE LASTS. I WILL KEEP YOUR HANDS VERY BUSY" Adonis signed in turn, filling their time before the wall comes to change everything forever. Well not everything he'd still be her Adonis and Ana would remain his always.

Ana's happiness could not be contained and came out a wide grin. Her cheeks remained a pleasant shade of pink and she scooted even closer to him, if that was possible. She wouldn't tell him but she was a little nervous about his appearance changing. She was also relieved in a way. Many people viewed Adonis before as some sort of god, she never did. Of course she loved him and Adonis was an amazing man, but no one was godlike. Maybe now people would see the Adonis she saw; just a man. An exquisite, kind, slightly perverted man whom she'd fallen deeply in love with. "I TRY IMAGINE YOUR HAIR COLOR. MAYBE BROWN. WHAT IF YOU BLONDE?" She giggled and reached up, touching his hair. It was stiff always. Everything about him had been the same for so long. She anticipated the goofy grin and excitement she would see on him once that all changed and he felt an entirely new sense dominate him. She glanced over at the clock again, 11:40. Time couldn't move any slower. "20 MINUTES" She signed, looking back at her beloved.

Adonis had assumed his hair would be blonde like his mother's or white from stress. Stress relieved when he passed the throne to Grayson. He had his doubts about Grayson, his brother certainly didn't take the role willingly. In the end, Grayson did it for Adonis because he begged him to and he wanted him to be happy. With Anaveil, Adonis was happy and he couldn't be with her otherwise. She was a wonderful woman, but too sensitive for Queen and Illis had preference to other selected. That didn't keep Adonis from loving her and when faced with losing her he couldn't do it. The golden child was the crown Prince no more and his Ana would be only his from then on. "Maybe I'll turn out to be a silver fox," he chuckled shaking his head lightly.

Anaveil shook her head with him. Her smile never left her face as she looked at him. She wondered what things would have been like had Adonis married the girl he was supposed to. Her life might be a lot more depressing. She remembered how upset she was when she hear she wouldn't be fit for the throne. It wasn't a surprise, deep down she always knew she wasn't. But she had made the mistake of falling in love with him despite this.

Calling it a mistake it turned out not be be in vain, because he loves her too. Though hesitant at first to accept his proposal to leave the throne to his brother, she couldn't be happier now. "WHATEVER YOU LOOK-LIKE, ALWAYS BE GOOD-LOOKING" she signed to him and examined his facial features. Adonis was very handsome after all. Even after all these years of marriage it still gave her butterflies when he took off his shirt, still blushed when he called her beautiful, and none of that would stop.

"THANK YOU MY ANA," he signed to her. It was hard for the both of them all these years relying on her signing. It wasn't perfect sometimes he couldn't tell her tone. Whether she was sarcastic, serious, sincere, worried or sad relied solely on expression. Time was drawing closer for the wave to hit now was the time for last looks and words. A nervous excitement crawled beneath Adonis' stick at the prospect of it finally being here. Today was the day, now was the hour, and soon was the curse lifted.

Ana looked at the clock and back at Adonis. 9, 8, 7. . .

She quickly took his hand and held tight. 6, 5, 4 . . .

Her chest clenched in nervous excitement so it was difficult to breath. 3, 2, 1.

There was a huge wave of energy that made Anaveil's skin tingle. Her hair stood on end and she felt goosebumps. She had her eyes shut and waited for it to pass over them. Then she blinked them open and looked up at her husband. "Adonis," she spoke softly.

Magic clung to Adonis' skin and weighed thick in the air at first. Gold peeled away, coming off him like fall leaves forcibly blown off a tree. Adonis made the mistake of leaving his eyes open during the blast now they blurred further tearing up. Tears fell, liquid gold leaked from his eyes leaving his iris' and down his cheeks before he wiped them away. He felt dizzy and light headed, he tried to compose himself, attempting to see anything. Either the world got heavier or he got much lighter. His hair actually swept softly into his face as he wiped his eyes straining to see, and he felt it. FELT IT. Adonis hadn't felt anything like it- so soft and stringy. He could feel the tingling of magic on his skin and then he heard Ana's voice. Not just her voice but his name slipping from her lips. Now he was actually crying, tears of joy, he could hardly handle everything that was happening at once. Everything, so much he couldn't describe with the adjectives he used from describing food. The change soon came to a close. As a hard shell of literal gold came away a golden tan was revealed underneath. As tears fell they turned from gold to water and the world came into full focus. The eyes, his eyes, weren't bright gold anymore but a raw honey- dark and rich. Some things don't fully change though, his hair wasn't stiff but a soft wave of hair mostly gray or silver, buried underneath it were only hints of a platinum blonde. Adonis wouldn't even see half the changes til he was in front of the mirror but he saw his hands as he tried continually to stop the tears from coming.

Labored breaths heaved Ana's chest as she watched the man she'd lived with for years change so drastically. Tears started dropping from her own eyes. Tears from the pure joy, excitement and majesty of it all. She loosened her hold on his hand, worried that it might hurt him now that he could feel it. She wasn't aware until that point how hard she was actually holding it. She was so mesmerized by his transformation.

Sun-kissed golden tan, eyes like raw honey, pepper silk hair, skin that was firm yet supple it was all so different. Not to mention the minor changes like platinum blonde lashes, pastel lips, nails that wouldn't be classified as lethal weapons, and the flush in his cheeks that was no longer rose gold. This was the new Adonis. Whether she liked him more or less now there would be no changing him back, not now or ever. Adonis wanted to look at himself fully but was too busy taking it all in. "Ana you can speak now and I can understand you!...You're crying." Does her throat hurt? Did I turn into a troll?!

Ana laughed and wiped her eyes and smiled. "I'm just really happy my Adonis," she said with a grin as she squeezed his hand gently. "I can't believe this is actually happening" Anaveil told him, touching her throat before she moving then to looked up at him and touch his cheek. "Can you feel this?" Rubbing her thumb over his cheek she found his skin was warm for once. The skin submitted to her touch his skin was now flexible instead of unyielding. She was so happy for him, and happy that he now understood her.

Even between the laughter and tears Adonis could understand his wife. He felt like digging up their vows and having her reread them so he could feel the full affect of them. He wouldn't going on any goose chase now, not while she was touching him. The real him, the normal man under the hard golden shell. "Yes, I can feel it" Adonis replied holding her hand against his cheek. After all these years seeing the gesture and having it done to him, he could actually participate in it. It was no longer one-sided and Ana was... everything. Warm, soft, comforting, if it was good; it was a synonym for her touch.

Her giggle came out once more and she felt like the anchor that had been dragging her into deep-water depths had finally released her. Floating to the top, she could breath at last. No more silence. No more being ignored. No more confused looks. She could be understood and she could be heard. She was no longer alone in her need for touch as well. It always would depress her when she would reach out to touch him and he couldn't begin to understand what it felt like. As his wife, she was the only one he could share this hardship with. Now he could feel her and their needs could be the same. No more stiff awkward hugs that only reminded him what he was missing out on. Smiling, she leaned in, pressing her lips against his for a few seconds before parting to look at him. "I love you, Adonis. After five years, I can finally say it. I love you. I love you so much," she said, through the tears she brushed off her cheeks. Then she kissed him again, savoring his new soft lips.

Adonis froze at first, the world seemed to stop as he heard those words and really felt her kiss for the first time. The only gold Adonis ever wanted in his life again were these moments, preserved golden, eternal in his memory. Her kiss kept him from returning the words even if replied through a muffled moan. It didn't matter anyway, Adonis had always valued actions more than words. If he couldn't speak love he would show it. Which shouldn't be a problem-given they were already on a bed. Soft lips charged hers with more than their share of passion until he was lowering her beneath him. He was going to feel every inch of skin, sublime, with the open hands of worship.

The End~💖
