Nikki's P.O.V.

Once Kyo and I got back home, we saw Katy and Ash on the ground. I picked them up and slapped them on the face.

"Oww! What was that for?!" Katy groaned.

"What are you guys doing on the ground." I asked curiously.

"Yuki asked why you and Kyo ran out of the house, so I told him the whole story. Then he got mad and punched Katy in the stomach and kicked me on the shin. We fell down the stairs and Yuki came back and again used his martial arts on us and now we're here on the ground until you two came." Ash explained.

"Well you're the one who came up with something ridiculous like that." I snapped back. Ash rolled her eyes. We all walked in Shigure's house like nothing happened. Yuki was in the living room watching TV, and Shigure was sitting at the table reading the newspaper and sipping some of his tea. I don't know why Shigure was reading the paper this late, but I stopped pondering after I realized that no one knows what goes on in his mind. One day I overheard Shigure singing a song about Highschool girls! Is he perverted or something. Katy and Ash went back upstairs and Kyo said he was going to sulk on the roof. This was my chance to ask Tohru why she lives here. I found her in the kitchen preparing dinner. I walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder.

"Eh? Oh Nikki, I've been looking for you. Where have you been?" She said.

"I was with Kyo, but there's no time to talk about me right now. I wanted to ask you something that I've been wondering for a while now, why do you live with the Sohma's?" I replied.

"Oh yeah. I forgot to tell you about myself. It all started when I was living in a tent because my mom pasted away in a car accident. I began to live with my grandfather, but my cousins were coming to live with us to, so I told my grandfather that I'll be staying with my friends, but Uo lived in a small apartment and Hana has a big family, so I decided to live on my own. One day I walked to school and saw a house and I approached it. One the front doorstep I saw painted figures of the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Shigure came up at the door and we talked for a few minutes and Yuki walked me to school. Later that day after work I went back to my tent and walked outside but then I was startled that Yuki and Shigure were out there. Shigure began to laugh-."

"I'm sorry to cut you off, but that's a sad story pretty far." I said with some tears falling down my face. "But please continue." Tohru nodded and grabbed a tissue and wiped the tears off my face then continued with her story.

"So Yuki walked me back to his place and I began to tell him the whole story while Shigure was laughing. I suddenly grew a fever and Shigure told me there was a landslide near by. We saw where it was and it happened right at my tent with the picture of mom in it. We went back at Shigure's house so I can rest and get my stuff in the morning. The next day, I see Yuki with my luggage and everything unharmed, somehow. They offered me to stay here and I politely accepted the offer. Shigure gave me there spare room upstairs even though it was a little dusty." Tohru explained until I cut her off again.

"Sorry again, but when does Kyo come into this story?" I asked eagerly.

"Right about now and you don't have to apologize every time. It's okay to ask questions." She answered sweetly giving me her normal day smile which warmed everyone's heart. I smiled back and she continued on with her story.

"I heard some creaking sound coming from above me and I looked up. The sound grew louder and someone crashed right through the roof. (A/N: favorite part of the episode because the second I saw Kyo, I fell in love with him. Come on, who doesn't like him? If you do you'll be sorry, right Kyo. Kyo: Shut up not now! Me: Okay.) There were millions of pieces of wood all over the floor and I tried to stop Kyo from yelling at Yuki, but then I slipped on a piece of wood and I fell on top of Kyo and he transformed into a cat. I got confused and then I landed in Yuki and Shigure's arms and they transformed into a rat and a dog. I thought it was a dream, but until Shigure told me about their curse, I felt a little better. Then I was able to leave here and know about the curse."

"Wow! What a long day for you, right? Oh, but what happened to your dad. Couldn't you live with him?" I asked. Tohru's smile turned into a frown.

"Well I was about 5 and he got sick and passed away." She responded.

"But why don't you talk about him. I always hear you talk about your mom."

"I was too young to really do much with him. I still love him a lot like mom, and I wish both of them were here right now." Tears began to fill my eyes again. Tohru grabbed another tissue and wiped my tears.

"I n-never realized y-you went t-through so m-much pain."

"Don't cry Nikki, it's something that happens to anyone in their lives. Besides, you had a more difficult life with your parents rejecting you." Tohru said trying to comfort me.

I stopped crying. I was glad that she told me about her past, yet the Sohma family has suffered for generations from what Kyo told me. If I really am a Sohma then I also have a dark cloud over me just like this family. I thanked Tohru for telling me her story and when upstairs.

I walked into my room to find Katy and Ash, but they were no where in sight. I caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye and saw the cranes I made earlier today, the ones that I made for everyone. I decided this was the perfect time to give everyone their cranes. I went into Kyo's room to give his crane. I slid open his door and I saw Ash and Katy in there. Kyo had a terrified expression on his face and was against the wall.

"Ash what are you doing." I yelled.

"What, I can't make friends now." She replied rudely.

"Can you get out, I want to talk to Kyo, alone." I said. Ash and Katy shrugged and left the room. I checked outside to see if they weren't spying on me, but they weren't.

"Kyo, I made this for you." I said nervously and handed him the orange paper crane. The second he saw it he smiled and gave me a hug.

"Thanks. You're a sweet girl." He said and gave me another hug. I felt after that and gave everyone else their cranes. They kindly accepted it and thanked me.

I don't know how everyone will react when they hear Kyo and I are dating, but I'm petty sure Ash is gonna freak. She always wanted a boyfriend, but with the curse she can't get around any guy. For some reason I can hug Kyo, but Ash and Katy can't. Does this mean I'm actually a Sohma?!

Hope you guys liked this chapter. Sorry for the 1 week delay, I was a bit busy. I promise that won't happen again, but if it does I'll warn you guys ahead of time. In 2 weeks I'm going Great Wolf Lodge and I won't be able to update so yeah. Bye~
