~ Chapter 5: Do The Right Thing ~
Back at the palace dungeon, it was now daybreak. Aladdin has spent a miserable night. The latter is sitting on the floor in despair, thinking his fiance has sentenced him to death for supposedly assassinating her father and his dear sister. The former, however, cannot shake the feeling that something is very wrong. But before he can figure out what's wrong, Razoul bursts in and sniffs the air deeply.
"Ah, dawn!"
Razoul, flanked by two other guards, escort Aladdin up the stairs. Meanwhile in Jafar's lair, he transforms back into Jasmine and starts toward the door.
Fake Jasmine turns smugly to the real Jasmine.
"I'll warn your boyfriend a farewell for you, Princess."
"No!" Y/N exclaimed, still struggling to fight back these chains.
Sultan is also fighting through chains..
"If I get ahold of you, Jafar..."
Abu screeches frustratedly at Jafar while True hisses.
Fake Jasmine said sarcastically, in Jafar's voice.
"I'm soooooOOOO concerned."
The evil ex-sorcerer leaves the room to see Aladdin's final moments. Iago just sighs, relieved that his former master has eventually left. Meanwhile, Razoul leads Aladdin further up the tower stairs. Cut back to Jafar's lair, with the evil ex-vizier gone, Iago lets out a loud, anguished shriek and proceeds to rescue the only one who can help Genie. Jasmine, however, wastes no time interrogating the not-so-reformed parrot. Y/N notices Iago's doing and questions his loyalty.
"How could you double-cross Aladdin after all he's done for you?!" Jasmine demanded.
Abu chatters frustratedly at him.
"Hey, do I insult your mother?"
Abu, shocked that Iago will speak about his mother like that, just scoffs. Then the parrot pecks on the crystal ball, but only ends up bending the tip. He straightens it and pecks harder, but this does not work either. The three prisoners recoil at the sound.
"What are you doing now?" Y/N asked.
Iago is busy hitting the crystal ball with the wooden plank.
"Oh, what does it look like I'm doing here? I'm trying to free the chump leprechaun where he can save your chump brother!"
The plank breaks in two and conks Iago on the head. He squawks in frustration.

Back to the tower, Razoul and his prisoner eventually get to the top. In front of them is a forge, and a blacksmith is tempering something. Razoul motions for him to stop, and the blacksmith sharpens a sword on a grindstone. He checks the sword while Razoul puts on an executioner's hood, grinning triumphantly at the street rat he is so eager to eventually be rid of. The blacksmith hands him the sword and he slices through a wooden beam. It splits in two, and falls to the floor. Aladdin looks on in shock as he is led to a pavilion of some sorts high above the streets of the city.
Aladdin does not respond, as he is certain his end has come. Meanwhile in Jafar's lair, Iago removes the crystal ball from its stand, fighting under its weight and throws it to the floor. Unfortunately, it just bounces along and does not break.
"You have to lift it higher!" Jasmine advised.
Iago gasps for breath.
"Sure. No problem."
"You might want to hurry now before Razoul does something he will regret." True said.
Y/N couldn't agree more with her snake friend.

It was now sunrise to the executioner's pavilion. The guards push Aladdin into the blade-less guillotine while two more show up to restrain him. Razoul raises his sword and gets ready to behead him and Fake Jasmine approaches.
"Wait!"
Aladdin smiled in relief.
"Jasmine! I knew you wouldn't go through with this."
"I just wanted to say a farewell..."
Fake Jasmine briefly reveals his face to him.
"...street rat!"
Aladdin's eyes widen in surprise.
"Jafar! It's Jafar---"
But Aladdin does not get a chance to finish his sentence before one of the guards drapes a head mask over him. In Jafar's lair, Iago is lifting the crystal ball higher and higher, fighting once again under the immense weight. Meanwhile, Aladdin is also attempting to get out of the grip of his respective captors. Eventually, Iago releases the ball and it smashes on the floor. Razoul raises his sword, and is ready to do away with Aladdin. Luckily, just before Razoul hits the street rat, he is picked up by Genie. Aladdin removes the head mask.
"Thanks for saving me."
"Oh, c'mon, Al, you know I had to. Oh, that no-head look is just not you. For my next trick,"
Genie magically poofs everyone out of their bonds to the top of one of the palace's towers.
"bibbidi...bobbidi...boo! Oh-ho, and everybody's safe and sound."
Jasmine jumps into Aladdin's arms.
"Aladdin!"
"Aladdin!" Abu exclaimed in happiness.
"Good to see you as well, Abu."
"Aladdin!"
Y/N joins in and hugs Aladdin tightly.
"Hey, sis."
"There's somebody else who wants to speak to you."
Iago comes out from under Jasmine's pant leg and waves awkwardly.
"Hello."
"You set me up! How could you show your face? You're nothing but a-----"
As Aladdin's berating him, Iago hides behind Jasmine's pant leg in fear. Jasmine interrupted him.
"Aladdin, Iago rescued us. He didn't have to, but he did so."
Aladdin looks surprised.
"Rescued? Him?"
"He did actually. He really does have loyalty." Y/N added.
"Please note: 'Did not have to, but did so.'"
Iago then begins yelling.
"NOW WE SHOULD BE FLEEING FOR OUR LIVES, IF YOU DON'T MIND!!"
Aladdin looks determined.
"No! We have to stop Jafar."
Iago, who is flying off, stops short at Aladdin's statement and flies back. Jasmine, however, is unsure as to how to get rid of Jafar for good.
"But how? He's so powerful!" Jasmine asked.
Genie answered to that question seriously.
"His lamp! You destroy Jafar's lamp, you destroy Jafar."
"Then that's what we'll do so." Y/N nodded in determination.
"Reality check. Jafar is large and in charge!" Iago reminded.
"Oh, yes. There's no warning what Jafar will do to Agrabah. We have a responsibility!" Sultan said.
"Perhaps you do so, but I don't! I'm only responsible for me, myself and nobody!" Iago said.
Aladdin, Y/N, Jasmine and the Sultan get on Carpet.
"I understand, Iago. You've done enough. And thank you!" Aladdin said.
"Hey, I did my good deed! I don't owe you a thing! You hear me?! Not a fact!"
Iago flies off, unwilling to deal with anyone else. Before the gang could leave, Y/N stopped them.
"Wait! I need to see Razoul. He could be of help. I need to let him know that I'm alive."
Aladdin sighed dejectedly.
"I guess. He does care about you more than anything. Carpet?"
Carpet then takes them to the executioner's pavilion where Razoul stood. He looks surprised and relieved to see Y/N as she jumps down and hugs. He quickly hugs back, fearing she will disappear at any minute. He removes the executioner's hood and looks at her straight into the eyes.
"I thought you were... and that street rat...."
"It was all a trick to kill Aladdin. My whole death situation was a lie. It was Jafar."
"Jafar?!"
"Right now, we don't have time. We have to stop him. All we have to do is destroy the lamp. Will you help us?"
He looks up at the gang then to Y/N and nodded.
"By my honor, Jafar will pay for making a fool out of me!"
She smiles and pulls him overboard to Carpet as they take flight towards the palace.
