Marinette's POV:

I stood outside as I waited for Charlie to arrive.

I wondered if the dress was too much.

Charlie had not said where it was he was taking me.

Only that he and I and some of his friends were hanging out.

I heard a noise as someone arrived.

I looked up to see Chat Noir.

What is he doing here?

I smiled as he complimented my outfit.

I blushed after Chat confirmed Adrien would want to date me.

I still found it hard to believe my crush had any interest in me.

I frowned.

Where was Adrien, tonight? I was about to go out with another boy, and he was nowhere in sight.

"Chat, you are sweet, but Adrien has no interest in me."

"Besides, he is far too busy anyway."

I heard Chat say something, but before I could respond, Charlie arrived.

I saw Chat Noir take this as his hint to leave as he lept off the balcony. I was relieved he had not gotten hurt in his hurry.

Oh, no! I thought when I saw what he had dropped.

I hid it inside my closet.
