Pulitzer was in his office, it was well past midnight but he had to finish this report.

His door opened and he looked up, through  his glasses he saw Jack.

He was polished and clean, in an Air Force suit with pendants and all on one side of his chest and his name tag on the other. Three buttons down the middle and a navy tie at his neck. Navy pants and shoes and his bag on his arm.

"Jack... you should be at the base! What are you doing here?" Pulitzer asked getting out of his seat.

"Your daughter, my fiancé is pregnant with my child. I'm not letting anything happen to her or that child. I suggest you get the wedding plans back on track" he said and walked out of his office.

Jack walked down the halls and found Katherine's bedroom. No doubt she was asleep.

Jack snuck in and kicked his shoes off, as well as putting his bag down and taking off his jacket.
He stripped himself of his shirt and pants, gently folding them over a chair.

Just in his boxers he set his bag on a table and grabbed his phone and its charger.

He turned the lamp on and went to plug his phone in, no doubt Medda would be blowing to his phone any second.

Katherine crawled from her covers and sat down behind him on the bed and pulled him into a hug.

"Oh Jack" she said her tears rolling into his naked chest.

He turned and brought her into his arm. "Kath" he said and kissed her cheek.

"Jack I missed you" she sighed and she pulled him to the bed.

"I missed you too sweetie... you're pregnant?" He said rubbing her back.

"Jack in so scared" she sighed burying her face in his chest.

"I told your father... nothing is going to happen to you me or our baby... the wedding is back on track and we'll be ready soon" he said.

"Oh jack" she sighed and hugged him tightly "I'm sorry this happened"

"Don't be sorry you're the best thing that's ever happened to me" he told her "and this will be the best thing that will ever happen to us"  he said gently placing his hand on her tiny belly.

"Sleep ?" She asked and he nodded. They laid in her bed closely together with Jack as the big spoon.

Katherine grabbed his hand and brought I up to her and pulled him closer.

"Tell me something good" she said softly.

"I love you" he replied and she smiled into her sleep.

When Jack woke in the morning Katherine was wrapped tightly around him and he was holding her arms and body.

He looked down at her and kissed her forehead. "Morning" he yawned.

She blinked and looked up "you're really here" she said softly.

"Of course I am... why would I not be?" He asked.

"Because you... I had dreams you came to me but you were never here in the morning" she told him.

"Katherine" he said "I dreamt of you ever night"

"How did you get here?" She asked crawling up to sit on his lap.

"I walked out, told them if they have a problem to take it up with Pulitzer ... I went to a car, got on a plane and took a cab here. I walked straight into your father's office and told him. It felt good to leave him speechless"

"You're not leaving right?" She said.

"Never again sweetie" he then kissed her sweetly.

He got out of bed and walked to his phone. 115 notifications from his mother and Davey.

He looked at the last text from his mother.

Mom: I'm not angry that she's pregnant... I don't know what to say... all I know is that ... IM GONNA BE A GRANDMA ! And we better start planning the wedding now.

He chuckled and walked to the bathroom. She was washing her face . He pulled his boxers down and stood over the toilet as he peeded.

She laughed "that's gross" she replied.

"In the Air Force I showered in front of other men peeing in front of my soon to be wife isn't that big of a deal" he told her.

"Okay then that opens all new doors" she smirked.

"Like what?" He asked.

"Just watch" she said and then walked out.
