Two days later, the Squads spent two days within the mermaid kingdom resting from the battle they had with Adrienne. Queen Coral used her magic to grant them all the ability to breathe underwater so they wouldn't need to rely on the fruit. Once it was time for them to go they all began preparing for the next kingdom. However Melody wasn't too happy that they were leaving as she was hoping to spend more time with Josh. She sat in her room wondering what she could do as she didn't want Josh to leave just yet.

"Hey Sis, how are you doing?" Kai asked his sister as he swam into her room.

"Not good, I-I kinda wanted the Squads to stay here longer, but they need to go because they have to help protect the other kingdoms," Melody explained sadly.

"Hmm... Oh I know! Why don't you ask Mom if you could go with them?" Kai suggested.

"Go with them? Are you sure about that Bro?" Melody asked.

"Yeah after all I have seen how you've been looking at that Josh boy," Kai explained teasingly.

Melody blushed at what her brother said, and responded, "Um I-I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Hehe you do know sis! You're in love!" Kai teased.

Melody blushed more at her brother's teasing, and she hid her face in her hands.

"Hehe Come-on sis lets go ask Mom and Dad if it's alright," Kai said as he gently grabbed his sister's arm and brought her to their parents.

Currently, the Squads were all outside of the castle waiting till Iris was ready to send them all to the next kingdom. Each of them all had a good time here and they were all excited to see where they would go next.

"I wonder where Iris will be taking us next?" Jenny asked.

"I don't know but I can't wait to see!" Dillion exclaimed.

"Me too, thisss bringsss back ssso many memoriesss," Katie explained.

"Well I hope we'll see the trolls soon! Those little fellas are so much fun!" Umang explained, sounding very excited.

"I haven't met them, but what you've said about them sounds very interesting," Josh explained.

"I'm not in the mood to deal with the trolls right now, I hope that the next kingdom we visit will be the fairies as theri much more peaceful," Faith explained.

"Me too, I love the trolls, but they can be a little too chaotic," Paccia explained.

"Well we'll see where we go next once Iris is done talking to the king and queen," Amara explained.

The Squads all continued to talk till they saw someone coming out of the castle and swimming up to them. They soon realized that it was Iris coming up to them, but she wasn't alone as next to her was Melody who had some bags packed up. They were clearly confused as they were under the impression that it was just them leaving the kingdom and not anyone else.

"Um Iris, why is Melody with you and why does she have stuff packed up?" Jake asked.

"Oh well Melody asked me and her parents if it was alright if she came with us as she wanted to explore other kingdoms and see earth. I just hope that was alright with all of you," Iris said.

"Um yeah! I'd love for Melody to come with us!" Josh excitedly said.

Melody blushed a little at Josh's excitement and wondered if he was hoping she'd go with them.

"Well I'm sure we'd be able to fight better against Adrienne and the shadows if we had others to help us," Hannah said.

"Yeah what Hannah said, and I've been wanting to ask Melody some questions related to this kingdom," Ed said.

"Aww thanks guys, and don't worry I'll do the best I can to help you all out in this war!" Melody stated with her voice filled with confidence.

The squads all smiled after hearing what Melody and they also hoped that she could help them out in this fight.

"So Iris, where are we going now?" Jake asked.

"We're going to one of my favorite kingdom's, the Fairy Kingdom!" Iris said excitedly.

The Squads' eyes all lit up when they heard that, while they hadn't seen the kingdom yet from what they heard it sounded like a magical place. Iris smiled once she saw everyone's excitement and led them back to the island where they first arrived here.

In the shadow realm, Adrienne was pacing around the strategy room angrily as she had planned the next invasion when the Squads would arrive there. She was beyond furious about her defeat at the Mermaid Kingdom. As she was pacing, she heard someone knock lightly on the door. She shot a glare over to the door, she wondered who would dare come knocking on her door when she was clearly steaming with rage.

"Who's there! You better answer me right now or else I will eliminate you!" Adrienne called out to the unknown individual knocking on her door.

"Um I-I'm a shadow shifter my Queen, and I brought you the meal you requested. We all know you like to have something to eat before you go into your next battle," the Shadow shifter explained clearly, being intimidated by what Adrienne would do to them.

"Sigh... Bring it in here and place it on the table; there's only a few more touches I need to add into my battle plan before I eat. Once I'm finished with that I'll eat, then go into battle," Adrienne explained as she went back to the board to finish recreating her plan.

The Shadow shifter carefully opened the big black door, and gently placed the meal on a small table that was next to the door. Once the meal was placed down the shadow shifter looked at the board and saw all the hard work Adrienne had put in for the fairies. They knew that meant that's where they'd be invading next, and they didn't like that at all. The Shadow shifter left the room, closed the door behind them, let out a sigh that they were holding back, and slowly walked away.

'I hope I made the right decision when I leaked that information to Apollo. I'm sick and tired of being a being that can't feel anything, does not have a name, let alone even have any kind of gender. I just gotta be careful with my next step if I want to leave this horrendous place for good. However I need to be careful as one wrong move could result in me getting killed,' the shadow shifter sadly thought to themselves.

They looked out of one of the windows out to the black horizon of dead trees and other negative things. They then looked up to the blood red sky with black clouds and thought about what it'd be like if they were a human. They wondered what it'd be like to not be an entity made of shadow and instead have flesh, bones, blood and other organic features. They wondered what it'd be like to eat something that wasn't negative emotions, such as physical food and water. They wanted so badly to have all the experiences humans do and not constantly walk on eggshells for their very life if they made one wrong move. However they sighed as they didn't know if they could even become human as it was never done before.

After staring out of the window for another few minutes they continued on their way out of the castle and to plan their next move to escape this place and go to earth.

Back with the Squads, Iris, Melody, and the Squads all arrived at the island and their stuff was still sitting in the same spot as they left it. They all started coming out of the water and got on the beach to collect their items. However as Josh climbed out of the water he remembered Melody didn't have legs.

"Wait guys what about Me-?!" Josh was asking till he looked back at Melody and stopped talking when he saw her.

When Melody's tail came out of the water a blue glow surrounded her and her tail transformed into a pair of legs. The other squads all looked back at Melody and were amazed by what they saw happen to Melody.

"Wow you can turn into a human?!" Josh said surprised by what happened.

"Yeah but could you help me up please? I don't come out of the water often so I'm not very good at walking," Melody explained as he held out her hand for Josh to take.

Josh's face turned as red as a tomato, but he composed himself and extended his shaky hand to Melody. He then helped Melody on her feet, however her legs felt like noodles and she ended up almost falling over. Thankfully Josh reacted on time and managed to catch her before she fell to the ground. When the two came out of shock they noticed that they were very close to each other. This made the two of them blush in embarrassment as they both felt their hearts start racing.

"Aww you two are so sweet together!" the two heard Lila say happily.

They looked over and saw the others all looking at them, Jenny and Lila were looking at them with big smiles on their faces. Erick was smirking at them, Jake gave them a thumbs up, Ed and Hannah smiled at them and Iris didn't see it as she was busy dealing with the dimensional key.

The two then tried to stand up straight however Melody almost fell again, but this time she fell forward and once again she fell into Josh's arms. They laughed nervously as the other squads all continued to look at them.

"Hey everyone let's get going! The portal will be ready soon, so we'll be ready to go see the fairies soon!" Iris called out to everyone.

After hearing what Iris said they all started collecting their things and getting ready to go to the Fairy kingdom and alert them of the upcoming invasion.

Meanwhile in the fairy kingdom, the fairy king was flying around and watched as his people went on with their usual day. However he wasn't looking over his people he was also looking for his son who had disappeared after his prince classes that day.

"Ah my king, how has your day been?" The king heard a male voice ask from behind.

"Alright I guess, but Arion, I'm just searching for my son, Oberon," the king then turned to Arion and asked, "Have you seen him anywhere?"

Arion just laughed and said, "Ha oh you know Oberon, he's just like his mother, he goes wherever the wind takes him. He can't help but explore the world just like how his mother did."

"I know but still I'm worried about him. After his mother passed away I've done everything I could to keep him safe," the Fairy king explained.

"I know but Oberon will do what he always does, he'll explore the world to his heart's content, and I know you're worried about him, but you need to trust him," Arion explained to his king, calming him down.

The Fairy king smiled and felt a little better about what Arion had told him. Meanwhile Oberon was flying through the clouds with his tiny pixy friend Ella. "HAHAHA! Ella you're gonna have to fly faster than that if you wanna beat me!" Oberon called out.

"Oh I was going easy on you Oberon, but it looks like the prince needs to be taught a lesson on what happens when you mock a pixy!" Ella screamed angrily as she flew faster.

Oberon smirked as he also flew faster with the desire to win, burning in his heart. The two soon saw their makeshift finish line coming up, they flapped their wings as fast as they could in order to go faster. The two were neck and neck, soon Oberon flew past the finish line, therefore becoming the winner of the race.

"HA! Yes, that was awesome!" Oberon cheered, his voice full of excitement.

"Ugh you just got lucky next time it'll be me who wins the race!" Ella explained with anger present in her voice.

"We'll see if that happens," Oberon stated while crossing his arms and smirking.

Ella got even more angry at Oberon, and Oberon smiled even more. Oberon then noticed something glowing out of the corner of his eye; he looked and saw Princess Iris, along with nine other people.

"Hey Ella look!" Oberon pointed out to the tiny pixy. Ella looked to where Oberon was pointing and when she saw Iris with nine strangers her eyes widened in shock.

"Iris?! What is she doing here after two years? I'd thought she'd be back with her family but not with about nine strangers... wait okay eight strangers one of them is princess Melody from the mermaid kingdom," Ella explained.

Oberon looked closer and he was able to see that indeed one of them was Princess Melody. "Oh Alright I couldn't recognize her from this distance, but enough about that! Let's go see them! It's been too long and I want to catch up!" Oberon explained sounding very excited to see Iris again.

He then flew down to Iris with Ella in hot pursuit behind him. As Oberon got closer he saw that the eight strangers had the Rainbow Amulets in their person. When he saw that he understood that the strangers were no strangers, but the new generation of the Rainbow Squads. Once he realized that he flew even faster to them till he landed right in front of them.

This caused everyone to jump in fear as they did not know the stranger in front of them was friend or foe. Once the dust settled Iris and Melody recognized the stranger instantly, as they had met him before.

"Oberon! Oh My god! It's so nice to see you again!" Iris screamed with joy filling her sweet voice.

"Hehe you to Iris, man it's been two years, and Melody how have you been?" Oberon asked while looking at Melody, who was still struggling to walk a little.

"I've been better still getting used to walking as when I'm out of the water it's not for that long," Melody explained.

"Yeah I bet, hey Iris who are they? And where are their animal guides?" Oberon asked as he knew the squads always had animal guides to teach them new magic. Then the said animal guides all came out of hiding from behind their students as when Oberon suddenly showed up had scared them.

"Ah there you all are! It's nice to see you all again! So what happened Iris where have you been for the last two years?" Oberon asked.

"I'd love to explain but I need to see your father right away, it's an urgent emergency!" Iris explained with her tone telling Oberon that she's serious.

"Alright whatever happened can wait till later. Let's go then, I think my dad's looking for me anyway," Oberon explained as he slouched down a bit.

"Um yeah but how, if you all didn't notice we're kinda on... a tree right now," Jane explained as she looked down.

The rest of the Squads all looked down and they too saw they were really high up.

"Oh god ugh!" Josh said as his fear of heights set in and he started getting dizzy.

"Hey hey don't worry I know someone who can provide you all with a pair of wings!" Oberon explained happily.

"Wait really?! That's awesome!" Erick exclaimed.

"I always wondered what it'd be like to have wings ever since I was a kid!" Jenny explained as she looked at her back.

"Hahah, well I've always wondered what it'd be like without wings, now let's get going! Iris I don't think you'll need a pair of fairy wings as you've already got your angel wings right?" Oberon asked.

"Yeah I've been using magic for much longer than the rest of them so they're going to need some wings," Iris explained.

"Hey I hate to interrupt but we should get going Josh doesn't look so good!" Jake called out.

Iris and Oberon looked over at Josh and saw that he indeed did not look good as he looked sick. "Oh dear we should get going before he vomits or something, I don't want that!" Lila explained.

"I don't think anyone wants that," Hannah explained.

"Alrighty then lets go! Hey Ella can you get us to the wing shop?" Oberon asked.

"Sure even if you beat me in that race I'll do this as whatever's going on sounds important," Ella explained.

"Ohh I haven't done this in a while! This is so exciting!" Melody excitedly said.

Ella then flew around then quickly as she did particles come off of her till they surrounded everyone. Once the particles cleared up the squads all saw they were now in a shop that had different wings on display.

"Wow! The wing shop! I remember this place!" Umang exclaimed.

"Yeah, all the beautiful wings on display are so peaceful," Paccia explained.

"Yeah it isss," Katie said.

"I can't wait to see what wings you're going to get Hannah," Amanda explained.

"I just hope that none of you will get hurt, as learning how to use a pair of wings isn't very easy," Amara explained.

"Yeah I remember every time whenever someone got a pair of wings they'd struggle to fly due to them never growing up with wings before," Akira explained.

"Ah yes I remember it was either funny or painful to watch," Amara explained.

"Um Oberon who's going to be providing us with the wings. I don't see anyone else here but us," Ed explained.

"Hmm she must be in the back or out of view. Hey Charlotte could you come out here! I have some customers for you!" Oberon called out to whom the Squads assumed was the shop's owner.

"You do?" everyone heard Charlotte's voice ask.

A female fairy flew into their view and when she saw them her eyes lit up. "Oh my word! I haven't had Rainbow Squads in a while! Girls come on out, we got customers!" Charlotte called out.

Some other fairies flew into view and each of them took each Squad, and Melody to different stations. Once each Squad was at a station the Fairies who were with them started measuring them.

After their measurements were done the Fairies flew up to a stand that had wings on them. They all picked a pair of wings off the stand and flew back over to the Squads and placed the wings on their backs. Once the wings were on the Squad's backs they merged with their body allowing them to use the wings.

"Wow, my look is amazing! And they match my hair!" Lila pointed out happily.

"Yeah they do, so do mine sis... but how do we use them?" Josh asked.

"Yeah I kinda need to know as well, as I'm not much of a flier, I prefer the sea more," Melody explained.

"Well, using your wings is very easy. All of you watch me!" Oberon called out.

Everyone looked at him curiously to show them what he was going to do.

"Now all you gotta do is think of what you want the wings to do." Oberon then started flying, "And they'll do just that!" Oberon explained with confidence in his voice.

"Alright let's give it a go, and we need to be quick about it!" Hannah explained.

The Squads all nodded understanding where she was coming from as they did indeed need to hurry. So they all thought about what they wanted their wings to do and started to fly. Some of them did struggle a little but they were able to get the hang of it. The wings were pretty light and had to move as fast as hummingbirds in order to work properly. Because of how new they were they'd need to practice fast in order to have them be very useful.

"Alright everyone ready?" Iris asked.

"I-I think I'm ready to go," Melody said while struggling a little to fly.

"Yeah me too," Josh said while also struggling.

"Um are you sure they should go outside?" Ella asked.

"Well myself or Iris can help them out if they need it," Oberon explained, reassuring Ella.

"Alright let's go now!" Iris stated and summoned her own wings and flew to the exit.

Oberon, Ella, Melody, and the Squads all followed Iris outside and when they got out there they were in awe of the kingdom. The kingdom had many fairies flying around and some of their homes were in the trees.

"Wow Iris this place is amazing!" Hannah said.

"Yeah I've never seen anyone living in tree houses before, but wondered what it'd look like," Ed said.

"I'm glad you all love my kingdom, it really is a wonderful place," Oberon said with pride in his tone.

"Oberon! There you are! Where have you been!?" A male voice called out to Oberon.

Oberon cringed and looked to see his father flying to him with a worried look splattered all over his face. "Hey dad, Princess Iris here wanted to talk to you!" Oberon explained quickly to avoid his fathers confrontation.

"Hello King Phillip how have you been?" Iris asked.

Philip looked at Iris surprised, as he hadn't seen her in two years, let alone had any contact with her kingdom. "Iris! It's nice to see you again. Where have you been? And where are your parents?" Philip asked.

"That can wait till later right now I need to warn you of something coming that could cause serious damage to your kingdom," Iris explained and she then went on to tell him about the upcoming invasion.

"What! The kingdom of Negativity is planning on invading us! That's horrible! I need to alert my guards at once!" Philip stated with worry being slightly present in his voice.

"Yeah and let's be quick cause I think we've only got-" BOOM! Iris was saying, till she was cut off by an explosion coming from the palace.

They all looked to the palace and saw Shadow monsters attacking the castle.

"Oh crud! Our house!" Oberon screamed as he saw the shadows attacking his and his father's home.

Everyone then flew up to the palace and when they got there they saw Adrienne fly out of the hole in the ceiling. When they were close enough they saw that she had a staff in her hands and was smiling evilly at it.

"Oh no! Not the wind staff!" Iris cried out when she saw it.

Adrienne looked up and smirked when she saw the Squads, Iris, Melody, and the king and prince all at her disposal.

"Why hello there! I'm sure you're all wondering why I didn't just demand the staff right?" Adrienne asked.

"Um no, I was wondering how I was going to kick your but!" Jane stated angrily.

Adrienne ignored her and went on saying, "Well I decided that because you all know about my plans, I thought I'd change it up and go after the artifact without demanding it."

"You think you can get away with this!" Philip screamed angrily.

"Oh I think I can! Tornado Twist!" Adrienne screamed trying to cast a spell with the staff.

Everyone except Philip and Oberon flinched and braised themselves for what was to come. However nothing happened and the staff did not cast any spells.

"Huh?! What in the world?! Why isn't this working!" Adrinne screamed angrily as she started shaking the staff around.

"HA! Jokes on you! That has a royal protection charm on it! Meaning that only those within the royal family can use it!" Oberon stated with pride.

"UGh! Fine, a little set back but nothing too big! After all, I can just get rid of the charm! Shouldn't be that hard," Adrienne explained.

"Not if we have anything to say about it!" Hannah stated as she and the rest of the squids flew up higher.

"Ready to fight guys?" Hannah asked.

"Yeah we are!" Erick exclaimed.

"Yeah let's show her what happens when you try to take something that wasn't yours!" Jenny stated.

"I love to hear that! Now RAINBOW POWER ACTION!" Hannah screamed then transformed.

"RAINBOW POWER ACTION!" The other Squads all screamed together.

They all then transformed into their Rainbow Squad forms but this time their outfits looked more like fairy dresses and suits. Their shoes were sandals that were the same colors as their amulets and their hair was also put up in a way to keep it out of their face.

"Wow alright! This looks amazing!" Lila said, amazed by the new look of her dress.

"I know right! It's just like in those fairy cartoons I used to watch when I was younger!" Jenny exclaimed happily.

"Alright guys let's go! Erick, Jane, Jenny, Ed, Lila, Josh you all keep the Shadows from doing any more damage and make sure they can't hurt anyone! Jake covers me! I'm going after Adrienne to get the staff back!" Hannah explained to everyone.

"Hey Hannah I can help! I just need to find a body of water and use my comb to control it!" Melody explained. "Good idea Melody but be quick we're going to need as much help as we can get!" Hannah explained.

"Alright! I'll be back soon!" Melody stated before flying away to find some water.

"Be careful Melody!" Josh called out to her.

Once Melody left the squads all got into position and lunged themselves to their enemy with the intent to protect. The main seven fought the shadows that were attacking the castle and the other fairies. Jake used his shields to defend them while his other friends destroyed the shadows. He also used his healing powers on anyone on his side who got hurt during the fight. Hannah meanwhile went after Adrienne again, determined to show her what happens when you mess with her friends.

"Adrienn! You're going to pay for what you did to me and my friends!" Hannah stated as she held out her sword.

"Oh my, are you now?" Adrienne asked mockingly.

"Yes I am! AHHH!" Hannah screamed as lunged at Adrienne intending to attack. However when Hannah was about to strike she felt something violently pull her sword back. She looked and was shocked to see Jack behind her using his red strings to pull her back towards him. Once Hannah was away from Adrienne and closer to Jack more red strings appeared and wrapped tightly around Hannah. Jack then pulled her till she was up to his face. He smirked and stroked a finger down her face to her chin.

"Hehe, you do look just like him, but as a girl," Jack said.

"W-What are you talking about?!" Hannah asked, surprised by Jack's words.

"Oh my, looks like you don't know, understandable, after all he wanted his family to stay out of magic affairs after the accident," Jack explained.

"What! What an accident?! Who are you talking about?!" Hannah asked angrily.

"Hehe Oh you'll understand in due time my dear. But for now I'd like to take this." Jack said before pulling out a tiny knife he uses for carving his puppets. Next he grabbed some of Hannah's hair and pulled it out, he used the knife to cut it off.

"There we go, Adrienne, you may do your thing now," Jack said as he turned Hannah back to Adrienne.

"Thank you Jack," Adrienne said as she flew up to Hannah, who was now struggling to get out.

"HEY RAINBOW SQUADS LISTEN UP!" Adrienne called out to the rest of the squads. They all stopped what they were doing and looked up at Adrienne. When they saw their friend tangled up in red strings they all panicked instantly. However they remained in the same place as they didnt know what Adrienne would do, and they were scared of what she would do to Hannah if they tried to attack.

"Now I'm going to give you all till the count of 3 to give me the comb or else your friend here will become another one of my mindless slaves," Adrienne explained as she held one of her night orbs.

"WHAT, FIRST JOSH! NOW HANNAH! HOW SICK ARE YOU!" Jake screamed angrily.

"YEAH WHAT'S WITH YOU AND USING OUR FRIENDS AS BARGAINING CHIPS!" Jenny screamed and was very angry.

"Did you all not hear what I said? You all have till the count of three or else your friend here is my slave," Adrienne stated.

She then slowly started counting much to everyone's horror. They didn't know what to do as they didn't know where Melody was, and because of how close Adrienne was to Hannah they were afraid that if they tried to attack they'd inadvertently hurt Hannah.

Adrienne was counting down from one to three to give them time to make a decision. She was about to hit three when suddenly Oberon flew from underneath her and punched her square in the jaw. The force of the punch made Adrienne let go of both the orb and his family's staff. Once the staff was out of Adrienne's hand Oberon took it back and got into a fighting position.

"HA! Now I'll show you what my family's staff can do when a member of the royal family actually uses it!" Oberon stated as he held the staff with confidence.

Adrienne growled angrily as she wiped her chin off, she glared at Oberon furious about him attacking her.

"Hehe oh are you now!" Jack asked in his usual mocking tone, "I'm sorry sir but you- ACK!" Jack then screamed as a body of water hit him with full force which caused his strings to unravel and let Hannah go.

Oberon whipped around, looked to where the water came from and he saw Melody holding her comb while smiling.

"Good job Melody!" Oberon said, giving Melody a thumbs up.

Jack staggered back a bit, but ultimately recovered from the attack. He put his hand to his face to try and examine the damage. When he touched his face he also felt something off about his mask. He felt around its surface more as he did he realized that it was now cracked. When he felt that his mask was cracked he panicked as he didn't want his face to be seen by anyone.

"Hey Jack, eat this!" Josh screamed.

Jack looked over to Josh who had his gun pointed at him, Josh then pulled the trigger and a blast was fired at Jack. The blast hit his mask causing the rest of it to shatter into nothing but porcelain dust.

"AHHHH! MY MASK!" Jack screamed as he covered up his face before teleporting away.

"Jack you coward!" Adrienne screamed angrily as she saw Jack retreat after his mask broke.

"Hey Miss acting queen! Why don't you do the same thing he did and scram!" Oberon stated before using the staff "Tornado twist!" Oberon called out and a tornado slowly started to form around the staff and as it got bigger Oberon used it to suck up Adrienne and her remaining shadows. Once he gathered them all up he threw them as far away from the kingdom as he could.

"I'LL BE BACK!" Adrienne screamed angrily as she was thrown away.

"I DOUBT IT!" Jane screamed back to Adrienne.

"That was amazing! And very cliver Oberon, how'd you know that work?" Ed asked.

"I didn't I just do what I always do, I went with my gut. After all, if you're in a situation where you can't think, you should just go with your gut!" Oberon explained.

"Son are you alright?!" Philip asked as he flew up to his son.

"Yes dad I'm fine and I told you I knew what I was doing. After all, while I mostly went with my gut I still thought about how to go undetected," Oberon explained to his father.

"Well I must say that was amazing Oberon you've got some skills!" Amara praised Oberon, impressed with his work.

"Aww thank you," Oberon said feeling very proud.

"Well I'm happy you'd save Hannah, I was worried Adrienne was going to do something awful to her," Iris said with relife being in her voice.

"And I'd like to thank you all for what you've done! If it wasn't for you warning us or coming here I fear we'd all be in grave danger," Philip explained showing his gratitude to Iris and the Squads.
