Ruby is in her graphic design class drawing a pattern on her screen. While doing this, she is approached by her classmate, Colin, who surprises her.

"Woah, sharp skills," Colin compliments her.

"Colin? Right?" Ruby asks, leaving Colin disappointed.

"Really?" Colin asks. "You don't remember my name? After all this time we spend taking in this class."

"Hmm. maybe you don't make that much of an impression," Ruby says playfully.

After this, the A's enter the classroom and grabs everyone's attention.

"First years, listen up!" Aidan announces, pointing at Avery.

"We're here to give you a welcome to Rainbow High gift. An invitation to our Color Block Party. Eight tonight. Main hall. See you there." Avery tells the class.

"And dress to impress! We accept nothing less!" Ainsley concludes as the A's all exit the classroom.

Afterwards, everyone is excited, especially Stella Monroe.

"Prefect party? I gotta get ready now!" she says before running out of the classroom, pushing Sheryl out of her way. "Move!"

Ruby and Colin watches this with a laugh.

"She's not wrong though," Colin says. "The prefect party's gonna be lit!"

"And it'll be extra fire because my friend Poppy is DJing. Wanna meet me there?" Ruby asks.

"You and me, kicking it at the dance? I'm into it." Colin says.

"Sweet. We'll see if I remember your name this time." Ruby says as Colin walks away.

After class Ruby goes to her dorm room where Violet is showing Jade and Bella one of her videos.

"I am so excited for the party tonight. And your girl has a date!" Ruby says, entering the room.

"Awesome!"

"Sick!"

"I love it!" Bella says. "Now we need to impress the A's, and you need to look good for your boy!"

"On it!" there's a neon lip palette I've been dying to try out." Jade commented.

"Oooh!" Violet says. "Hashtag daring! Just depends on what we're wearing, thoughts?"

Then, Poppy comes bursting into the room, startling everyone.

"Guess what?" Poppy shouts.

"You're gonna learn to knock?" Bella shouts back, annoyed.

"So much better," Poppy tells them. "Scar said that Avery said that we could come to her studio. She's giving us a sneak peek at her brand new designs! Aaah!"

"Sick!"

"For reals?"

"Hype!"

All the girls are then waiting outside the fashion studio with Avery and Ainsley.

"Ladies, welcome to my studio," Avery starts. "I've been designing some new looks. They're not try on ready, but I thought they'd be great inspo for your color block party outfits. Ainsley?"

Ainsley opens the door, to the squeals of Sunny.

"Go on, babes," Avery said, confidently. "Check it out."

The girls all enter and are amazed by the clothes.

Ruby stands behind a dress. "The look. Yes? No?"

"Um, literal perfection! Perfect for a party, perfect for a date." Violet tells Ruby, saying the last part in a singsong voice.

Sunny looked at the two surprised. "Ruby, you have a date?"

"Ruby's got a new boyfriend," Jade said, playfully mocking Ruby.

"He's not my boyfriend," Ruby tells them. "Yet."

"Oh, Skyler has a boyfriend too!" Scarlette says. "This is so cute!!"

"Sweet!" Poppy says. "Rubes got a date and Sky's going with her boyfriend!"

"It's a double date," Skylar says happily. "How cute is that?"

"Not as cute as you two are gonna look tonight." Bella tells them. "These guys totes need to bring their style A-game, cause you're gonna walk into that party looking so gorge!"

Avery walks towards them. "Inspired?"

The girls all murmur in agreement.

"These are amazing as always, Aves," Scarlette says.

"You are really talented, Avery," Skylar tells her. "Your stitching is amazing."

"I will die if I can't wear this jacket to the party!" Violet says. "Literally. Right here. Dead!"

"Love that you love them, but these looks aren't quite ready for the dance floor." Avery tells them. "Soon, but not yet."

Ainsley then came to them, clapping her hands. "Alright, first years! Time to get ready for the color block. We'll be expecting flawless fashion, especially from our DJ. Are you ready, P?"

"With this inspo? Yass!" Poppy exclaims. "Let's go girls."

The girls all leave the studio, with Sunny walking back in, being mesmerized. Violet and Scarlette both come back to drag her back from the door.

"Come on, Sunny!" Violet says, strained.

"I'll come back for you!" Sunny screams before getting pulled back by the twins.

A few hours later is the night of the party. Skylar, Sunny, and Scarlette are now dancing together. During this, Colin runs up to them and hugs Skyler.

"Awe! Heart emoji!" Sunny smiles.

"So adorbs!" Scarlette squeaks.

"This party's tight!" Colin comments.

"And Poppy's killing it! Hi Poppy!" Sunny waves to Poppy, who waves back.

"Oh, hey, I see one of my boys by the punch. I'll be right back."

Colin them walks away as Sunny sees the rest of the girls arrive.

"Our girls are here!" Sunny exclaims.

Ruby, Jade, Violet, and Bella walk in and meet with Sunny, Scarlette, and Sunny, with them erupting in compliments for each other.

"You just missed Skyler's boyfriend!" Sunny said

"He'll be back," Skylar told them before looking at Ruby. "Where's your date?"

Violet then brings Ruby in with her selfie stick. "Let's find out. Tonight on The Vi Live: Ruby's first big date!"

"We're seriously doing this on camera?" Ruby asked Violet.

"Um, yes! It'll be the hottest episode!" Violet says.

Ruby sighed, rolling her eyes. "Fine. Let's go find him and bring him back for a special ep, a date night at Rainbow High! ™, I get the royalties. BRB!"

Ruby and Violet then go around looking for Colin, with Ruby finding him and approaching.

"Hey!" Ruby says.

"Hey!" Colin says, turning to look at her. "That look is fire! Wait. you're not-you're not filming this, are you?"

"No! I mean, not until you do me a favor and sign a release letter." Violet said before digging in her bag, trying to find a release letter.

"Actually, um. I'm not into being filmed, can you just delete that?" Colin asked awkwardly.

Before Violet can answer, Bella, Jade, Sunny, and Scarlette walk over.

"Hey," Jade said.

"Girls, this is my date, Colin. Colin, this is my bomb runway group." Ruby introduces.

Scarlette and Sunny both notice Colin and are shocked once they see him with Ruby.

"Colin?" Scarlette asks, rather angry.

"Hi!" Bella says

"What's up?" Jade asks.

Sunny begins to panic. "Bad! Very bad! Very very bad!"

Scarlette puts an arm around her best friend, glaring at Colin.

"Just wait until Skyler finds out," Scarlette grumbles.

"Find out what?" Jade asks as Skyler begins to walk over.

"Hey! Sorry, I got lost in the crowd and I-"

Skyler stops herself once she sees Colin with Ruby.

"Colin?" Skyler asks, shocked.

"Oh, you know my date?" Ruby asks, not noticing the tension.

"Your date? Colin's my boyfriend!" Skyler asks angrily.

Ruby then moves away from Colin in disgust.

Everyone is shocked and disgusted, except for Violet, who is oblivious and searching for a video release.

She then pulled out a clipboard. "I found the release! Huh? Oh, right! You need a pen."

Scarlette looks around, seeing Skyler heartbroken and everyone else shocked.
