,,Chachi!Chachi!" Kavya stormed into their room and hugged her Aunt tightly. Gauri smiled at her lovingly and kissed her forehead. For her Kavya was already like her own daughter. She wished Omkara and Her would have a child as innocent, cute and beautiful as Kavya.

,,Kavya Beta Aram Se. Your Aunt is still not completely fine , okay?" Omkara smiled and Kavya immediately said sorry. His niece was truly the cutest child he had seen and he couldn't stop but praying for having a daugther himself. She tried to free herself but Gauri just hugged her tighter. She felt happier after looking at Kavyas face. Somehow Kavya always managed to make her happy, to make her forget many things. Things like her Father in Law.

,,Om you should better be going. You can finish the pending work else Father in Law will be really angry with both of us and you don't want that to happen. Anyways Kavya is with me now and I will tell her some stories and then we will sleep right?"

Kavya nodded and looked at her Uncle. ,, Haan Chachu you can leave."

,,Are you sure?" Omkara asked; already looking for his files, he had a few business deals to seal and then he needed to call his Art Gallery for the upcoming Exhibition he planned for some of his Artists. But right now he needed his files, he always displaced them and then would yell at his cute little wife knwoing she knew exactly where he left them. He loved asking her for such mundane things.

,, I am sure Honey, we will be fine! Bye the way the files are in the drawer next to your bookshelf as always."

Omkara smiled and kissed her softly. She always could read his mind, she knew when he needed what and how irritated he could get.

,, I would be lost without you meri Jaan. You are truly my everything: Wife, Assistant and soon the Mother of my Child." His Voice turned huskier on the mention of their Baby and Gauri couldn't help her smile. She placed a soft kiss on his cheek and Omkara pouted that he didn't get a proper kiss.

Why?"He whispered.

Because Kavya is here!"

Seeing his face Gauri laughed and pushed Om out so he could finish his work in his study room. She knew how important his work was for him, even if she was more important, she wanted him to be successful and to see him happy.

Kavya turned to her Chachi and asked: ,, Where is my new doll?".

That caught Gauri's attention and she looked at Kavya surprised. Which doll was Kavya talking about? Did she forget her Birthday?

,, Doll? Which Doll beta?"

,,The one you promised me."

,, Lekin kyun?"

,, You said if I would sleep beside Grandma you would buy me a new doll. Did you forget?" Kavya looked sad and Gauri finally remembered the promise. By having Kavya sleep with her Grandma, Jhanvi was safe from Tej's abuse for a few Nights. Something that relieved Gauri immensly.

,,I am so sor-"Gauri started but was interrupted by a male voice. A voice she detested more than anything else on this earth.

,,Kavya so that is the reason you were sleeping beside me and your Grandma?"

Gauri and Kavya looked to the Door and saw Tej entering.

He came closer and asked Kavya to leave the room because he needed to talk to Gauri. Kavya nodded and left without saying a word leaving a scared Gauri behind. She was too little to understand the situation she just managed to escape.She feared her Grandpa as much as Gauri did.

,,Tej Papa..." Gauri didn't know what to say. He caught her red handed.

,,CHUP! Don't say a word. You know what earlier when I first saw you I thought you would be the perfect daughter in law and that you and Omkara would make a great Couple. I thought you would adjust to the family and our rules but it seems like you are the one who tries to break them. You should learn to obey to my rules Gauri, else your fate won't be very rosy"

Gauri stood up and tried to look innocent. How could she tell him she knew about his real face? That he was a coward hiding behind his wife so he could keep his face infront of his children? How to tell him she knew that he used his strength to beat his own wife, the mother of his children? That she knew the kind of Animal he was?

,, Tej Papa believe me. I respect you but I wanted to protect mother in law She doesn't deserve that kind of treatment."

,, Why do you think she needs protection?" He approached Gauriand his anger was visible; his fist clinched by his side. Gauri did not know where to look and what to say but she finally found her voice. She would not let him threaten her. She was dabang Gauri after all, though she respected elders but that didn't mean she would keep quiet if someone was treatend wrongly.

,, Because I know that you are beating her up as she was a slave. Don't you feel ashamed to beat the mother of your children? The woman that was by your side for the past 30 years? Don't you have any feelings?". Gauri was almost yelling which displeased Tej even more. He came closer and Gauri went back. She fell against her wardrobe and cried in pain. How could he scare her so much that he would even cause her pain?

Wasn't he aware of the fact that she could lose the baby?

Maybe...Gauri looked up at him. Was it possible that he was responsible for her first miscarriage? Could it be that he was one step ahead of her? What if he had always known that Gauri tried her best to unfold his Truth? To show everyone his true colors?

,,Father in Law I am pregnant! Would you threaten me knowing that I am carrying your grandchild? The child of your Son? Your Omkara, your pride?". Gauri tried to get up but failed due the pain she felt in her back. It was like knifes digging into her back and she knew she needed to rest for a while to recover from that pain.

,,Of Course not Beta. I just wanted to show you your place in this house. If I want I could kill both of you in a second. Don't mess with Tej Singh Oberoi, it could end deadly dear. I am a man of my Words."

,,What about Om? He would be heartbroken? Don't you even care about him? Would you really break his heart by hurting me or our Child? Could you do something like that?"

Tej laughed and Gauri felt disgusted by him. How could he do something like that? To his own son? The son he claimed to love.

He was a sick psychopath and Gauri knew she was in real danger.

,, My Son would always choose me over you. No matter if you are carrying his child or not. He listens to every word I say. He would leave you the moment I would ask him to."

They looked at each other and with a smile he left the room, leaving her there; laying on the floor like a sack of potatoes. Slowly everything became dark and Gauri lost all her senses.
