Lukas

I ran the lengths of the woods feeling the wind fly through my fur and hearing the sound of twigs and leaves crunch under my paws.

"Do you know what would make this run even better?" Ryker asked.

No, what?

"Alana and Eris."

I wagged my tail in delight. You're right. Anything with them is better.

I continued forward until I heard faint whispering. My ears perked up and I listened to figure out which direction it came from. Sounds like they're near the lake.

I trekked quietly, careful not to snap any twigs under my paw, I was near whoever they are. I hid behind a bush.

Behind the two people in question stood a lake, the moon's light reflecting off its surface. Wow, Alana would love to see this... I gotta bring her here tomorrow night.

"Is everything going as planned?" The first person asked... but his voice sounds familiar...too familiar..

"Definitely. I have them eating out the palm of my hand. They're bloody gits I tell you." The second voice giggled. But that accent is unmistakable! It can't be her!

I poked my head out of the bush a little more to get a better view, and careful to keep my scent downwind. Yup it is her! With- with Fenris! Her back was leaned up against the tree and he stood infront of her.

"You're amazing... I can't wait until this is over and I can take you back." He stepped closer caressing her cheek.

She smiled up at him. "I can't wait either. I've missed you terribly." She pouted.

His eyes darkened and he pressed his body on hers. "I've missed you too." Then he crashed his lips into hers. His hands moving across her body. She now straddled him....

W-w-w-w-w-wait! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

An angry growl escaped and I started to snarl, feeling more than livid.. I was about to jump from my spot and tear him to shreds.

"LUKAS!" A voice yelled in my head.

I blinked a couple of times and stared infront of me to find the scene gone, like they were never there.

What the hell was that!

"Luke are you there?" Allie's voice entered my mind.

"Yes, I'm here what's wrong?" I asked deciding that I need to lay down for the time being because I am confused. Was that all a dream? But I wasn't sleeping?!

"We...erm... had sorta a situation here that has left Jaden in tears and he won't fall back asleep until Lucky comes." She said with an irritated sigh.

I chuckled and stood up again. "Alright. I'm on my way back now."

It didn't take me long to reach the house. I shifted back and grabbed some sweatpants that I left by the door and slipped them on and walked upstairs to her room to find her walking back and forth as she bounced a very grumpy Jaden in her arms.

She turned around and saw me and sighed with relief. "Good you're here. He has been whining for the past forty-five minutes and won't stop." She rubbed his back in attempt to soothe him.

"Where Lucky, Ma?" Jaden whined.

I walked up to her and took him out of her arms. "Here I am, little dude." I said calmly as I started to bounce him also. He started to quiet down and he held onto me tightly. "What happened?" I whispered as I looked at her.

She rolled her eyes and they turned red then back to their normal blue. "Fenris is what happened." She snarled.

Controlling my burst of emotion, I took a deep breath and formed a straight line with my mouth. "He was....here?" I ground out the last word.

She nodded. "Yes that-that psychotic demon was here! He scared Jaden with his orange eyes. He has me mistaken for his dead mate and he thinks I'm brainwashed!" She whisper yelled.

I was shaking with anger. The only thing that is keeping me from punching a hole in the wall is this pup in my arms. His breathing became deep and steady and he let out one sigh that ensured that he was fast asleep.

"You know what. I'm not leaving you again... this crap seems to happen when I'm not around." I growled as I walked Jaden towards his crib.

"Don't put him in that he sleeps with me." She said.

I rolled my eyes and placed him in it anyways. "You're forming bad habits and attachment issues. He's going to have to learn to sleep without you sooner or later. And now it's sooner because I don't like to share you in bed." I smirked at her.

She shook her head and scoffed. "Unbelievable." Then she climbed into bed.

"What? I'm being serious." I climbed into the bed next to her.

"I just can't even deal with you right now. I'm too sleepy to make a witty comeback." She mumbled cuddling under me. "You smell like a lake. Were you near one?"

Images of that scene played in my head. Then I shook it off. "Actually yes. And it's beautiful at night. I have to show you tomorrow." I wrapped an arm around her waist to pull her closer.

She giggled. "I can't wait. I still have yet to explore more of this place." She said quietly, I could feel her breath tickle a spot on my chest.

"And I can't wait either." I kissed the top of her head.

She squirmed a little to get comfortable and let out a sigh of contentment and she fell asleep.

I still need to figure out what I was seeing earlier...because that was disturbing.

"It could have been Fenris messin' with your mind. He's known to do that you know." Ryker yawned.

Yea...you're right.... I need to be more vigilant... ward him off somehow.

"Uhhuh you do that. But can you do it in the morning. I'm sleepy."

Okay. Okay.
