Irene's POV.

Tears gush out of my eyes as I try to break away from Alex's arms while another guy is opening the door wide enough to dump me in, this can't be happening!

I was just sitting on the curb and Reese was on the phone, within a blink my mouth was closed with Alex's hand and my hands tied up. I force myself back onto Alex to avoid getting into the car, I managed to press on my power button thrice before my hands were tied. Now I can only hope Reese sees the message and gets here in time.

"You bitch! Stop making a fuss and get into the car," Alex says handing me over to his strong bodyguard, I shudder in pain as the guy's grasp hurts my arms as he pushes me into the car with literally no effort.

Reese! Where are you?!

Alex starts driving away and all hope drains out of me that very instant. What if Reese does find me and Alex hurts him? I can't let that happen! Maybe Rob will find us and arrest Alex after all?

None of this seemed like it was planned, now I'm sure the guy I saw before was Alex without a doubt. Reese was right, Alex was secretively plotting things against us and here we go, my recklessness about going to the club got us into this mess. But I only wanted to ensure Reese didn't skip spending time with Ray and Ty because of me and now it seems like, we could've just waited a little bit longer.

"Fucking shit!" I hear Alex curse looking out in front of the car where Ty is standing with his gun pointing at the car but specifically at Alex and two other cops, I think. My eyes search for Reese who's making his way to the rear seat where this strong hefty guy is holding me down.

With my legs still free, I kick Alex's who's sitting in the passenger seat on his hand while he tries to take his gun out. He glares at me as Ty reaches his side of the car and steps out before Ty could even knock on the window. Oh no, I hope this bastard doesn't have a backup plan.

Soon I feel myself being tugged slightly as Reese drags the guy holding me down out of the car, my breathing is ragged as I try releasing myself from the restraints as Reese punches the guy hard enough for him to fall back a few steps. Suddenly Ray opens the door on the other side of the car and starts taking off the rope around my hands and the stupid cloth tied around my mouth.

"Thank you!" I breathe out stepping out of the car as quickly as I could before heading to Reese's side where a police officer is now holding Alex's guy and handcuffing his hands together, "Reese!"

I shout getting his attention and we both me midway as he pulls me into a close hug, "I thought I lost you," Reese says his voice slightly breaking but still having a straight face while he wipes away the tears from my eyes before placing a quick kiss on my forehead.

"Irene! Move!" I hear Rob's voice out of nowhere and before I could do anything, my gaze meets Alex's sadistic expression and everything goes blank.

"Irene! No no no! wake up!" Reese's fragile voice is all I heard before finally passing out.

"Mommy! What next?" I ask her as I beat the eggs with the whisk slipping out of my hands.

"Now goes in the bacon," mom slides in the bacon slices into the egg mixture before feeding me a small piece of fried bacon while I give her a hugs smile.

She adds a few more ingredients before holding my hand to help me whisk the eggs, "Dad loves this omelet,"

"I love it too!" I squeal in excitement as mommy pours the mixture into the pan, "Now we just wait but I've got something for you first princess,"

Mom walks into the pantry room and comes back with a small notebook. She looks so weak unlike before when she had long beautiful hair and a smile always, "This is a gift for you, if you ever miss me when I'm gone, cook something from this book. It's all my recipes for you my princess, only for you,"

"But mommy where are you going?" I ask her confused while I look through the book with beautiful handwriting.

"Nowhere love, you'll always have me by your side. I love you, my little princess," mommy kisses my cheek making me smile before hugging her.

The next thing I know is mommy coughing out blood, "Mommy!"

I call her as she falls, "Daddy! Mommy's not well!"

Calling my dad I look at my mom in horror, "Be yourself, princess,"

That's the last words she said before she fell asleep. Little did little me know that that was the last time I could see her and the last time my smile would be genuine.
