*Percy pov*

As soon as we reach the lake Renesmee jumps in with me in her arms and swims to the bottom. I make a bubble form around us and we lay down against it walls.

It was unnecessary, because we both didn't need air. But I still made it. I touch Renesmee and the water that had gathered on her skin dried off.

"Thanks", she says smiling. Her smile was too beautiful. It was so beautiful that I didn't feel afraid to pull her into my chest and kiss her. She stood surprised for a moment before kissing me back.

We stood kissing each other for what felt like eternity before I had to break off to get air.

Renesmee blushed and apologetically kissed my forehead. I sighed and pulled her body into mine before sitting down on the floor of the bubble I had made.

Renesmee relaxed on my body and we laid still, relaxing. We didn't have a need to speak in that moment, all we did was relax and enjoy each other's presence.

At that moment I felt that all our worries and fears had washed away, that it was just us in that moment. I lifted Renesmee's chin up and kissed her once more. I felt at peace and content, I never wanted this moment to end.

But little did I know that the peace that we had worked so hard to earn would be broken the very next day.

If I had I would have been more prepared for what would happen next.
