6. So Stressful

Le gasp! Is this an update I see? Yes! It is! Hooray!

// Gabriel's POV

Gabriel walked around the cafeteria looking for the moose he just lost. Like, hOW DO YOU LOSE A MOOSE?!

Gabriel took a bite of his chocolate bar and looked around even more, he even stood on a few tables since he was too short to see over the heads of the other giants.

"SAMWICH! SAMMICH? SAMMY MY SASQUATCH WHERE ARE YOU?" Gabriel called out into the crowded area. Many people stared and whispered but Gabriel had just run out of fucks to give-- sorry peasants. Maybe next time.

Gabriel huffed and jumped from his current table to another table, trying not to land in anyone's food.

"Hey! What's wrong with you?"

"Get off the damn table!"

"We're trying to eat!"

Gabriel rolled his eyes and stared down at them.

"Does it look like I give a fuck, Stacy? Does it? Cause if you were paying attention, you would have read that I just ran out of fucks to give."

Stacy scoffed and continued eating her salad. Like seriously, why would she say anything if Gabe was like across the table from her, fAR AWAY FROM HER DANG SALAD. Gabriel looked around the crowd before spotting an administrator walking towards him with a very very angry expression.

"Mr Novak! Come here immediately!" He yelled.

Gabriel pulled out a cherry lollipop, unwrapped it, tossed the wrapper into a trashcan, put the lolli in his mouth, and ran for it. Of course, he was just running on the tables and jumping to the next one and the next until he ran out of tables to jump onto. He jumped off the final table and ran to hide under some chairs. Thankfully, the administrator, gave up and went back to pestering someone else.

Gabriel sighed in relief and crawled put from under the chair, continuing his search for the Moose.

"Dean tells me things are progressing. It shouldn't be long before the little angel's heart is broken. Poor Castiel won't know what hit him."

Gabriel slowed down. He walked back and sat at the table next to the talking duo.

"This is too good! Castiel is such an easy catch. I mean they were at the park the other day and Dean swears the poor guy's already in love with him!" The girl laughed, the boy joining in moments later. "That Winchester would really so anything for little Sammy."

Gabriel stood up, threw his lollipop away before it was even finished and walked out of the cafeteria, his hands balled into fists the entire time.

He walked down the hall, not knowing exactly what to do. Who were those people? Why were they talking about his brother? What did they mean things were progressing? Why is Dean involved? Why was Sam involved?

Gabriel thought for a moment before heading to the library. If Sam wasn't in the cafeteria, he was obviously going to be in the library.

Gabriel ran upstairs, down the hall and into the quietest room in the school. Since he wasn't aloud to run in the library, he speed walked along the isles, searching for an explanation.

Instead, he found Jessica, placing a few books on the shelfs. She turned to him and smiled.

"Gabriel, Hi! Can I help you?" She asked.

"Where's Sam?"

Jess blinked a few times before walking up to him. "Are you alrigh-- "

"Jessica! Where is he?" He asked again.

She took a few steps back before hesitantly pointing behind herself. "In the History section."

Gabriel walked past her almost knocking the books in her arms down. Sure enough, when he found the section titled 'HISTORY' the first thing he saw was a mop of shaggy hair, with it's face in a book.

"Sam." Gabriel said, his fist relaxing a little when Sam turned to look at him with wide puppy eyes. "Oh, hey Gabe." He smiled.

Sam looked at a few pages of the book before putting it back on the shelf. Gabriel tried to form a sentence-- a reasonable sentence.

"What are you and Dean planning against my brother?" Gabriel asked.

Sam turned to look at him in confusion. "I'm sorry?"

Gabriel scoffed and rolled his eyes. "You know what I'm talking about Sam! I heard them talking about Dean's plan!"

"Gabriel...calm down. Who did you hear talking?" Sam asked, approaching him slowly.

"This British chick and gruffy guy! They were talking about Cas and Dean's date and how Dean would do anything for you!"

Sam's eyed widened and his hands clenched into fist. He closed his eyes for a moment and tried to control himself.

"Gabriel...let me explain."

"So it's true! You're doing something to hurt my brother!" Gabriel accused again.

"Gabriel listen to me! We need the money!"

"Why would you even agree to something like this?! There are jobs you know! Sam I trusted your brother! I trusted you-- "

"You don't understand!" Sam yelled before wiping his eyes and running off into a different isle.

"Sam!" Gabriel called after him. Then the librarian- an old woman who always wore blankets and glasses on the rim of her nose- walked up to him and aggressively shushed him.

Gabriel tried to explain, but when the angry librarian shushed him again he sighed and speed walked to look for Sam.

// Castiel's POV

"Babe, how was your day?" Lisa asked, kissing Dean's cheek and holding his hand.

Castiel felt a tug at his heart and he looked away for a moment, clearing his throat.

"Hey, I'm good-- just missed you." Dean chuckled, kissing her quickly to which she blushed and smiled to.

"Oh, hello. Who's this?" Lisa asked, finally glancing at him.

Dean looked at Cas and smiled. "Lisa, this is Cas, my friend. Cas, this is Lisa. My girlfriend."

Cas smiled and waved. "Hello, Lisa, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Lisa's smile faded. "You're Cas? As in Castiel?"

Castiel nodded. Lisa squeezed Dean's hand and smiled. "Oh! Dean's told me a lot about you! Haven't you Dean?" She asked sternly.

Dean laughed nervously and scratched the back of his neck, nodding. "Yeah. I uh I have."

Castiel felt his cheeks heat up and he smiled. "All good things I hope."

"Dean, can I talk to you?" Lisa asked, pulling him away. Castiel stood in the hall by himself, watching the couple walk away and others pass him. He sighed and hurried to his next class.

// Dean's POV

"Dean what are you thinking?!" Lisa asked, crossing her arms.

"What?"

"You told me you weren't going to mess with Cas because Bela and Gordon dared you to." She huffed.

"I didn't take it because it was a dare! You know I need the money." Dean said, his voice raising a bit.

Lisa sighed and nodded, "Yes, I know you need the money for Sam but I have told you many times before: I can give you the money, Dean. You don't have to do everything they say."

"Baby...no, come on. I can do this. I just-- he needs those specific glasses and I need to get them on my own."

"So making a poor boy fall for you and then breaking his heart is how you're gonna get them?" She yelled.

Dean's eyes widened. "H-How did you know I'm supposed to do that?"

Lisa scoffed and shook her head in disbelief. "So it's true. I figured it out today actually. Whatever your plan is, it's working, he's beginning to look at you the way I did when I had a crush on you. Dean, you don't have to do this. Let me help you..."

Dean groaned in frustration and ran his hands through his hair. He leaned against the wall, pouting, not sure what to do.

Lisa took a deep breath and rubbed her hands against Dean's arms.

"I'll talk to my dad...just please don't hurt Castiel."

Dean bit the inside of his cheek and slowly nodded. Lisa had offered to help so many times before. She knew Dean needed money for Sam's appointments and treatments, and now glasses that his doctor recommended after Sammy's old ones broke, but Dean always rejected her offers. But she was right...this wasn't fair to Castiel at all. It was only his second day here. "Fine."

Lisa smiled widely and quickly hugged him and kissed his cheek. "Thank you, Dean." And she was running off to her class.

Dean sniffled and walked in the opposite direction. How would he tell Bela and Gordon that he was calling this off? Maybe he should just keep pretending he's doing the dare but not actually harm Cas. This was too stressful.

// Castiel's POV

This was too stressful. I mean what the hell even is this teacher talking about?! For the past fifteen minutes he had been repeating the word "physics" over and over again, occasionally asking if they were getting it all down.
What even was this school?

Cas wondered what Lisa needed to talk with Dean about. She seemed shocked to hear that his name was Castiel. Or rather...angry. Beside the point, Lisa was Dean's girlfriend. Dean had a beautiful girlfriend and Cas was jealous.

Not of Dean, no. Of Lisa. Cas didn't know if he wanted to be Lisa so he could be in Dean's arms or if he just wanted a relationship that looked so happy.

Cas was so lost in thought that he didn't notice Dean walk into class and sit behind him. It wasn't until Dean tapped Castiel's back with his pencil that he was pulled out of thought.

"Oh. Hello, Dean." Cas said, smiling once he saw who was sitting behind him.

"Hey, Cas. So I was wondering if you'd like to go somewhere with me and the gang later today?" Dean asked, smiling.

Castiel blinked rapidly for a moment before slowly nodding. "I would have to call my mother but she should be okay with it."

Dean's smile widened and he slapped Cas' back before beginning to write "physics" down on his paper multiple times.

Castiel narrowed his eyes at Dean's paper and turned back to his own where he had nothing written down at all. Cas sighed and began writing.

This was so stressful.
