Alex Auditore has drove up into the parking lot of the Capitol Wrestling Center for his appearance on NXT, and knowing the notorious reputation of the parking lot, the WWE Champion watched his back in case of an ambush.

The WWE Champion walked in and was taken aback by the newly revamped developmental brand, since it has long moved from its iconic location of Full Sail University where the Pharaoh made his journey of a lifetime, where he met and reunited with his former friend Finn Balor, where he met the love of his life and now mother of their daughter, the Goddess herself Alexa Bliss and where he has shared and started his memorable rivalry with current AEW star Buddy Matthews fka Buddy Murphy.

Now, walking around the new NXT, Alex sees a lot of younger talent and promising upstarts since he too watches the product on TV. And one man has captured his attention on NXT, that man is the current NXT Champion, the Mad Dragon himself Ilja Dragunov.

As Alex continued his way through the center, he is greeted by current NXT North American Champion, the man Rey Mysterio described as the future of lucha libre, Dragon Lee.

Alex: Dragon Lee, nice to meet you

Dragon: nice to meet you too, it's an honor

Alex: please, if anyone deserves honor and respect, it's you. Plus, it was satisfying watching you whooped Dominik's ass

Dragon: Dominik may be a Mysterio, but he is not worthy to honor his father's legacy, it's me

Alex: honor his words as well, amigo

Dragon: si

The two champions shared a sportsmanlike handshake before going their own ways. The WWE Champion continued to walk to the arena, but then saw three Superstars of the women's division and couldn't help but to hear Cora's name in their conversation.

The three women were Cora's wrestling "sisters," Roxanne Perez, Tiffany Stratton and Thea Hail.

Thea: Cora has to be psyched to be aligned with not one but two WWE Champions!

Roxanne: I know! She said she can't wait for us to join her!

Tiffany: can't we just get called up already?!

Roxanne: patience is always the top virtue, Tiffy

Thea then gasped as she sees the WWE Champion himself in the flesh.

Thea: girls look!

Roxanne and Tiffany turned around and gasped as they see Alex in the flesh.

Alex: sorry, I didn't mean to intrude, I heard Cora's name and yes, she is aligned with me

Thea: oh my goodness! It's an honor to meet you!

Roxanne: don't mind her. She's a hyper one

Alex: it's alright, I know all of you; I've been watching NXT very closely, and you three are amongst who stand out the most along with some handful who I want to see on Raw and SmackDown

Roxanne: that means a lot hearing from you

Alex: well I'm not the only one who is endorsing all of you

Tiffany: who else, if I ask?

Alex: well, it's my wife, the Goddess herself

The three girls gasped as they were star struck that Alexa Bliss herself watches them.

Alex: I can see it in the future. Alexa leads you three and Cora in a faction... like a family or a house

Thea: the Bliss Family!

Tiffany: no, the Blissline!

Roxanne: girls, what about... The House of Bliss?

Tiffany and Thea pointed their fingers and agreed at Roxanne's name of a possible future faction of Alexa leading and mentoring the four young female Superstars.

After conversing with the three young stars, Alex continued his way to Shawn Michaels' office to discuss a possible match on NXT.

The show opened with the promo cards showing the appearances of Alex Auditore and Randy Orton. Tonight's show marks the Viper's appearance on NXT after 11 years since wrestling one match against former WWE Superstar Damien Sandow.

However, the NXT Universe didn't had to wait for too long as the WWE Champion's theme played, making them get out of their seats and cheered loud as Alex made his way through the modern NXT ramp.

As the crowd cheered, Alex took in the warm reception while he looked around that the size of the CWC is nearly identical to Full Sail University. As he walked down the ramp and looked around the people, he couldn't but to point out at the Chase U student body section as he gave them a smirk and nod.

He got in the ring and grabbed a mic. But before he can speak, Alex was interrupted by Baron Corbin.

Alex shook his head as the former Lone Wolf came down and got in the ring.

Baron: Alex, it's been a long time since we saw each other

Alex: yeah, funny you should say that Corbin. Because the last time we were in a ring together... I whooped your ass so hard you got an identity crisis. What, you went from King of the Ring to bum ass Corbin to what Happy Corbin?

Baron: those were past characters. I burned those ships down!

Alex: so what are you then? Boring Ass Corbin?

Baron: think you're funny huh? You think you just because you're the WWE Champion doesn't mean you own the damn place

Alex: you're much of an idiot are you? I'm here because I was asked to be here, along the fact to teach and humble the next generation. Well maybe, I can humble someone right now

As Alex dropped his title and the mic, he unleashed punches on Corbin as a brawl is under way. However help came for Corbin as Bron Breakker ran down and pulled Alex off, causing the WWE Champion to fight two men at the same time. Not backing down from a fight, the WWE Champion stood his ground and fought the two heels.

The numbers got the best of Alex as Breakker and Corbin backed Alex to the corner, however help came as a theme played.

The current NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov rushed down the ring and immediately took out Breakker with a Torpedo Moskau and helped Alex fight off Corbin before sending him over the ropes. As the dust settled, the WWE Champion and NXT Champion stood tall in the ring as Breakker and Corbin retreated.

NXT management updated the card as a tag team match was the main event for the week.

Alex was all focused on the match while also knowing that somewhere, Randy Orton is lurking since he didn't make his presence known around the CWC. The entrances were made the match was underway.

Ilja Dragunov and Alex Auditore vs. Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin

Alex and Corbin started things off as their old rivalry reignited while the two men locked up. Alex got Corbin in a side headlock before he was pushed to the ropes, but ducked a punch and takes down Corbin with a dropkick. The Lone Wolf clutched his chin as he felt the impact of the move before getting back up to fight.

The two men locked up, and this time it's Corbin putting Alex in the side headlock, but the WWE Champion countered by lifting and slamming Corbin down with back suplex. Corbin, not wanting anymore of Alex crawls to his corner and tags in his partner, former NXT Champion and son of Hall of Famer Rick Steiner, Bron Breakker.

The ruthless young gun stepped up to the WWE Champion and talked some trash before getting it on with him. Bron threw Alex to the ropes and uses his freak strength to take down the WWE Champion with a shoulder tackle; Alex immediately got back up and was quite impressed of Bron's strength. Alex sidestepped and avoided an incoming splash from Bron and goes to work with punches to the corner before the referee count for the break.

Bron was on the top turnbuckle looking for a high risk maneuver, however, the WWE Champion got up to the top turnbuckle and takes down the former NXT Champion with a superplex for some separation. The two men dragged their bodies to their respective corners and finally tagged in their partners.

Ilja came rushing in and connected vicious forearms and knees to the Lone Wolf, backing him up to the corner. The NXT Champion ran to the corner and connects with a forearm right to Corbin, before taking him down with a German suplex. Dragunov then launched from the ropes and splashes Corbin with a jumping senton for a pinfall attempt, but Corbin got his shoulder up.

After Dragunov connected with a rebound discus lariat he calls the Constantine Special, he went for another pinfall attempt, Breakker broke up the pinfall. Alex got in the ring, but leapfrogged as Bron was looking for a spear, but instead hit his head on the turnbuckle and was taken down with an AKO from the WWE Champion. Corbin tried to take Alex down with the End of Days, but Alex flipped his way out and pushed the Lone Wolf to Dragunov's direction as Ilja flattens the Lone Wolf with a Torpedo Moskau headbutt for the pinfall victory.

Alex helped Dragunov up to his feet as the headbutt took effect on the NXT Champion, but he was able to stand as the referee handed them their titles. After showing highlights of the match and while their arms were raised, but from out of nowhere Randy Orton slid in the ring and RKOs Dragunov, much to the surprise of Alex and the NXT crowd. The Pharaoh lunged at the Viper, but Orton slithered away and retreated to the stage while he smirked with vicious intentions.

Alex rushed to Dragunov's side as he stared down at his former mentor. The show ended with Auditore and Orton starring daggers at each other, showcasing a potential fight between them.
