Natsu P.O.V
The light blinded us for a full minute. When the light dimmed, Lisanna was still under that man's clutches. "Natsu....Lucy changed," Happy said.
And changed she did.
Her once blank milk skin was now covered in blue and white tattoes from head to toe. Her hair had grown so long it almost touched the ground. Blue stones were now ingraved in her right hand. Her previous clothes were now singed and she was now wearing a white dress completely made of scales.
And her eyes, no longer a nice warm brown, but one was silver and one was blue.
This was a completely different Lucy.
The man laughed, squeezing Lisanna closer to him. "Well there it is: the last Dragonite in exsistence."
"Here I am," Lucy hissed, "now let her go." The man did as she said and pushed Lisanna away. She quickly ran past Lucy and ran into my arms. I embraced her and asked, "Are you okay?"
"Something's weird," Lisanna whispered. "I couldn't work my magic on him. It was like his whole entire body was magic proof. Do you even know what's going on?"
I shook my head. "I'm as lost as you are." I paid my attention back at Lucy. She was circling the mysterious man. She soon began to laugh. "Well, are you happy? My special seal that blocked all my lineage is gone. Now I have a question for you: are you Levi himself, or just his son?"
"I am Cornelus, the a warrior of the Shlavek. My father, Levi Ghraal, died no later after that night we met."
"He deserved to die," Lucy hissed. "He killed many innocent people of my village, including my father and brothers!"
Brothers? I don't remember Lucy mentioning any brothers, I thought.
"Dragonites are the abbomnation to this world," Cornelus said, "a breed that was created by Darkness."
"HOW DARE YOU!" I could feel unworldly magic coming from Lucy's body; something that I had never felt from anyone. Cornelus pulled out his swords and got ready for attacking. "Why don't you show me what a real Dragonite can do."
Lucy then suddenly glowed white. "Gladly." She closed her eyes, raised her stoned hand and began to mutter foreign words. Suddenly, water, earth, fire, and wind began to circle around that one hand. She opened her eyes, and at an instant, the elements fired at him like a bullet. Cornelus moved quickly, dodging every magical bullet. Explosions were suddenly made as each bullet made contact. Cornelus ran up to Lucy and began to strike her with his swords. Surprisingly, she dodged every bullet, moving with swift agility. "You are no disappointment," I heard Cornelus say.
"Don't flatter me," Lucy hissed.
"Why don't you pull out your real weapon. The real beast inside yourself."
"Hana will be put out of this."
"Oh, so it has a name. How interesting."
"You know what? I think it's time to end this."
"Alright then, Dragonite, once and for all." Lucy smiled. Despite all this change, I knew that smile. It was her plan smile. But Cornelus was bigger than her, had much more tan muscle than she did. Cornelus wiped his hand through his long black hair and smirked. He charged at Lucy full spead his sword getting ready to cut through her skin. She stood there, acting like nothing was going to happen to her. He got closer, but no reaction came out of Lucy. "Why isn't Lucy doing anything?" Happy asked.
"She's going to get herself killed!" Lisanna cried, burrying her face into my chest. I just watched. I was interested in Lucy's plan. This was weird, seeing Lucy in charge like this when it was usually me. They were just about to make contact. Cornelus looked so confident, getting ready to pierce his weapon through Lucy skin.
Then, Lucy turned into fire; no bones, no skin, just flame.
"Whoa!" Happy exclaimed. The fire that was supposedly Lucy went inside Cornelus's body. He began to scream in agony as his body began to burn from the inside out. His skin became darker and the smell of burning flesh filled the air. I could hardly look at this without feeling sick inside, and I was the definition of fire.
The flame spilled out of his mouth and formed back into Lucy. Cornelus kneeled to the ground, groaning in pain. Smoke arose from his body, and for a minute, I actually thought he was dead. But then, he released a dark, low laugh. "It seems that I have lost this battle.
"So it seems," Lucy said.
He looked up at her and said, "And not a single scratch on your skin. How pathetic."
"I have won the battle. You're death will be a gift from me to your people."
"But remember," he said, coughing out blood and burnt pieces of his body, "just because our battle is over, doesn't mean....your battle is over. My people...will not rest...until you...the last of your kind...are on the ground...in a pool of your blood." Cornelus kept on coughing and wheezing. He took one last deep breath and whispered loudly, "Goodbye...Dragonite."
And with that, he laid motionless on the ground, not breathing any piece of air.
I could hear Lucy sigh. She was muttering something I couldn't hear, but then turned around, facing all of us. She had a serious yet sad look on her face. It was Happy who first spoke. "Lucy...what's going on?"
"I...I will explain everything soon. Just please," she begged, "forgive me."
Lucy P.O.V
"Lucy Heartfilia!" Master yelled with the top of his lungs. "What is the meaning of this!" I flinched at the echo of his loud voice. All the members of Fairy Tail were staring directly at me. Some were scared, some were worried, and some were angry.
Natsu was one of the angry ones.
On the way back from the mountains, Natsu hadn't spoken a single word to me. Happy attempted to comfort me by letting me hold him, and Lisanna was trying to living things up with a conversation.
I wasn't ready to return to my Dragonite roots. My plan was to tell the guild when they were ready. But because of the sudden attack by the Shlavek, I was forced to remove my seal much too early. And here I was, standing amongst who used to be my companions, being judged by the man who I would've considered my father.
"Master," I said with the strongest voice possible,"I was going to tell you the truth when I was ready...I wasn't probably going to tell you for a few more years, but I was going to tell you!"
"After almost a year of becoming a Fairy Tail member, we still don't know anything about you," Master said with disappointment.
"And I apologize for that," I said, "but I wasn't planning to tell you all until my seal of confession was released!"
They all looked at me. Still judging me. I wasn't ready. They weren't ready for all this. I wished for a rewind button; something that could stop any of this from happening. Oh, if only that could happen. Master sighed, rubbing the wrinkles on his head. "Lucy Heartfilia...If that's you're real name...I want you to tell us, the whole guild, the truth, and nothing but the truth."
I was expecting that. I owed them nothing but. The only thing I was scared of was that if they were ready to handle the truth. Ready to see the number of lies I had told them. Ready to see my true cover of my book. But alas, I had to tell my tale.
"My real name is Lucilia Drakos Foner. I was born in Halevana, a village naked to the ordinary eye; protected by civilization today. My father was Gordon Foner, and I had three brothers: Janus, Hagis, and Javier Foner. I only have one living relative left...My little sister Shira, who is only ten years old. I am not fully human. I...I am a Dragonite."
"What does it mean to be a Dragonite?" Master asked.
It was always uneasy answering this question. This was the climax of judgement. My father told me stories about humans judging our kind, and I would get nightmares just thinking about it. I gulped, building the courage to speak. "It means...that I am half-human...half-dragon. I was born like a dragon, inside an egg."
The crowd gasped. I even saw Natsu's face move a little in shock. Whispers travelled throughout the guild until Master ordered silence. "Define a Dragonite."
"Dragonites are the closest things to nature. We, in some sort of sense, are nature. We can hear it, feel it, control it, and give and recieve energy from it." I pointed at my right arm, which had the white and white tattoo of a dragon. "Each of us have a companion inside of us; a rare species of dragon not heard of by any normal human. These dragons have silkier scales and don't have wings but use the forces of air and wind to fly. These dragons define who we are; whether we're good or bad, an adult or a child, a mouse or a dragon. This one trait makes us different from any other creature in this world and the next."
"Who was that man Natsu described?"
My heart skipped a beat. "He was part of an orginization; an order that has the main goal of destroying my people. Just like us, they have a trait that makes them different from any other creature; magic-proof. Not a single wizard, mage, witch, or sorcerror could touch these people known as the Shlavek. They are cold-blooded killers."
"If you're mother was a dragon, and your father was a man named Gordon, then who exactly were Layla and Jude Heartfilia?"
My heart began to make me feel all fuzzy inside. I couldn't help myself but smile. "During my final days in Halevana, in the brink of battle, my mother flew me to a simple family. They couldn't have kids, so it was perfect. My mother, before leaving me, put a seal of confession on me, which forbid me of speaking about my past without revealing my true form. And then, for seven years, they took care of me...and this year, you all took care of me."
Master's eyes had softened up. He walked up to me, and with a dead serious tone, he asked, "Give me a reason why I shouldn't expell you from Fairy Tail."
"Because," I answered, putting my heart into every word I was going to say, "I am now alone in the world; the last of my kind. If you expell me...I wouldn't have anywhere else to go."
Whispers once again swarmed the guild. My guilt was arising. I began to feel more and more clustraphobic. I bowed down, pleading, "Please forgive me! I didn't mean to break our trust! But I am still the same." Tears fell down my face and dropped to the ground. I ended up falling to the ground, feeling more and more broken. "I was trying to not only protect you all, but myself as well. I don't want my species to die out with me...So please, forgive me."
I then felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and found Master's hand on my shoulder. For the first time since this whole thing started, he smiled. "Lucy, do not hurt yourself for this. I understand why you didn't tell us." He looked at the rest of the guild and announced, "Lucy Foner shall not be expelled from Fairy Tail! That is final!"
I smiled. I looked up at Master and mouthed, "Thank you." Everyone began to clear away from me. I slowly got up and looked around. No one wanted to talk to me. No one wanted to be near me. How did I know this was giong to happen, I thought.
I found Levy, Lisanna, Happy, and Natsu by the bar, whispering to each other. I slowly walked up to them passively. When they noticed me, Natsu was the only one who looked away. Levy walked up to me and said, "...I understand why didn't you tell us."
"And so do I," Lisanna and Happy said. I smiled. At least I had a few friends who were still by my side. I looked back at Natsu. I gently touched his shoulder and asked, "What about you, Natsu?"
He then shook my hand off his shoulder and walked away. I wanted to call him out, but my voice didn't come out. I sighed. Lisanna touched my shoulder. "Just wait, Luce. You'll get to him."
For once, I seriously doubted it.
