26 | Treasure Island

"Are you sure that you're not going to kill me?"

Felix had driven us to some deserted park and parked his bike and now we've been walking for more than five minutes.

"What do you think?" He deadpans.

The park had gradually changed and now we were walking into the dense woods.

I glance around at the dark trees, a dog howls somewhere and it echoes off. The sudden urge to grab his hand fills me but I restrain myself.

"Here we are." Felix's soft voice greets me, breaking me out of my reverie. A medium two story house stands in front of me with people mingling around it, especially couples.

Treasure Island

Felix tugs me forward and I follow looking around.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, we know you're excited to do this and have fun," An old man with pepper hair whom I am assuming to be the host greets all of us with a warm smile.

"This is a game that can be played as a team of two. Both the members of a team get a clue card leading them to next clue which will further lead to the next clue and so on, the last card will lead you to the Treasure." A lady with similar grey hair to the man continues.

"But, you won't be playing it with your team mate. In fact you'll split up from the start and only meet at the end. The first one to get the last clue wins and gets to keep the treasure."

There are four more couples besides us - a teen couple, two guy best friends, two gay/bi (assuming that they are smooching right now) girls and lastly a guy and a girl who looked to be in their early twenties—probably in college and are on a first date just like us (assuming from the girl's stuttering and the guy's ability to blush at about everything the girl says)

"Here, you go. Good luck." The lady host hands me a clue card with a small smile and I thank her.

"You're not supposed to show the card to your team mate." The lady speaks up when a girl tries to peek into her boyfriend's card which he promptly hides away from her.

The lady blows the whistle and everyone rushes in while Felix and I follow in slowly.

"I'll see you at the end, good luck!" Felix grins at me before having and walking away.

"This thing is bigger than a cat and you open this to let people into your house."

That's so easy.

The front door. And sure enough there's a paper taped onto the door.

"If you step out the bathroom and people laugh at you, then you probably have this stuck to your shoe."

Ha. Easy.

Toilet paper.

I open the first door that I come across and sure enough there's a bathroom and I find my next clue written on the toilet paper.

"A meal fits on this. Look at this round item for the next clue."

Meal fits on this... Round.

Plate!

And where can I find a plate? The kitchen.

It's easy and I get through the riddles easily.

"Eat me for breakfast. I am dry unless you add milk."

Cereal.

"I make two people out of one."

Mirror.

"I am white when I am dirty and clean while I am black."

Black board. It took me some time to find it though, hidden under the bed.

"Roses are red, violets blue, find the next clue where you shampoo."

Shower.

"I've four legs but cannot move."

Table.

And after what seems like forever I finally find the last slip stuck inside the oven.

"Here's where you'll find your treasure. I store old things that are probably never used. I mostly sit at the top of the house."

Closet?

Probably never used... So it's not closet.

Locker? Nah...

What is at the top of the house?

...

Attic!

I rush out from the kitchen and climb up the floor, my eyes searching for a door or something leading to the attic.

And then I see the ladder leading into a trap door. I start climbing the stairs and pull myself.

It's a really small space with little no lighting. I blink my eyes and it takes a few moments to get my eyes used to the darkness.

And then I see it. A flag. My legs carry me forward on their own and I touch the flag and then I notice there's a box and a wrapped up gift sitting right beside it.

I open the gift first, blinking my eyes to look clearly. It's a box—full of Ferrero Rochers and Oreos.

Ah. Worth it.

I smile and put down the cookies and chocolate back onto the table and then open the box.

It's a bracelet.

In fact, a charm bracelet.

"Hey." A voice whispers sending a delicious tingle down my spine. "I came first."

Felix.

His hands wrap around me when I don't turn around.

"You like it?" He asks nodding his head towards the bracelet that I was still holding. His breath hits my neck and a shiver racks through my body again—not the bad kind, though.

His fingers slide over mine and take the bracelet off delicately. And then he clips it onto my wrist, his fingers sending a shock wave through my body.

I turn around, standing on my tippy toes so that I can brush my forehead against his.

"I know it wasn't the ideal first date." Felix mumbles and an automatic smile tugs on my lips.

"Yea, but I had fun."

"Really? Maybe we should do this again then." He suggests and I smile nodding my head against his.

"Yea, definitely."

He brushes his nose against mine–or was it me?–and I am glad that it's dark enough that he can't see me blush.

His eyes bore into mine, the deep blue pulling me in. His lips look pink and kissable even in the darkness that I almost want to. There's exactly two inches of space between and if I moved my lips just a bit, we could kiss.

One inch...

Half inch...

"I don't usually kiss on the first date." He says and I blink my eyes.

Shit, this is so embarrassing. I am dreamin—

And then he presses his lips against mine.

It takes me quite a few seconds to grasp that he's kissing me and I am too surprised to kiss back. He pulls away an inch and stares at me as if it to ask what's wrong.

"I thought you didn't usually kiss on the first date."

It was a whisper but I know he heard it.

"You're not usual." He mumbles and then kisses me again and this time I kiss him back.

His hands wraps around my waist, pulling me close against his chest while my hands trail up. One hand gets tangled in his hair while the other stays on his shoulder.

He trails his hands up my arms, igniting fire in the process. Another delicious shiver rocks my body making me want to pull him closer.

We pull away after three minutes, breathing hard with his forehead against mine.

"T-that was amazing." I breathe out, glancing up at him.

And then he kisses me again.

I literally wrote this whole thing in a day. I had previously written their date where they would go Go-Karting but then it just didn't feel right, so... Yeah.

I don't have any experience writing kiss scenes so super sorry if it's cringe 😬

What do you think about this chapter? Thoughts?

And the kiss? Did you expect it?

The date? How was it?

Team Waria (WyattxAria) or Alix?

Question of the chapter - If you had to save your sister/brother or best friend, whom would you choose?
