There it was again...

-BBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM-

The loud booming sound of lightning hitting the ground rings in my ears. The wet touch of rain pouring all around me as I looked towards the dark clouded sky, standing on what seemed like water as I faced off against a man with a sword. I couldn't tell what his features were but as he pointed his sword Skyward, I feared the worst.

(Y/N): W-wait what is all this?! Who are you?

I pleaded, but it was to no avail as the young man simply said nothing. Lightning then all of a sudden struck his blade and using its new found power he took the opportunity, the young man lunged at me with all his might!

-BBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM-

Just before I could be taken down another strike of lightning hit the floor causing me to shield my eyes from the sudden spark. When it subsided I slowly opened my eyes only to be at a different land scape. I now find myself at a castle of some type unable to move. Just then I noticed two figures standing in front of me and once again I saw the man and his sword. As I locked eyes with the male, it was as if Time itself stopped. The figure next to him was holding me down with some type of divine light, it felt suffocating.

(Y/N): C-c-curse you all!!!!

I suddenly shouted out with no control of myself. It was as if some else said it for me, all of a sudden the man walked towards me with blade in hand once again preparing to strike me down.

-BBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM-

The sudden strike of lightning caused me to once again close my eyes. After waiting a bit, I slowly began opening them, which in turn caused me to instantly take notice of the change of scenery I found myself in. As I looked around I seemed to be in a field with a magnificent castle in the background. I was surround in some type of yellow barrier, this sight reminded me somewhat of hour of twilight. Sensing someone's gaze I turned towards that person seeing him with a shield and the same blade as the man before.

(Y/N): That accursed blade?!

I once again suddenly said without even thinking about it. Questions began to flood my mind as the young man in front of me once again geared himself and prepared to strike me down!

-BBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM-

The ringing in my ear was beginning to cause me physical pain. I couldn't handle it anymore I clutched my head with both of my arm shielding my eyes. Once the ringing subsided all I could hear was... the sound of waves? Curiosity taking over I slowly unshielded my eyes and saw that I was somewhere in a space deep underwater at the bottom of the ocean, however the water was slowly descending upon this place. Despite this chaos for some reason I felt calm, as a rush of wind could be felt under here. I once again felt a pair of eyes on me. Looking towards them I noticed it was them once again.

(Y/N): You again...

It was different this time considering they were both children now, but it was definitely them... the young man even had that damned sword! I grit my teeth in rage and anger that I really didn't know I had in me. Just then the young boy ran towards me and with all his might jumped in the air and with his sword in hand he stabbed it into my forehead, however just before he hit me...

-BBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM-

That blinding flash of light caused me to flinch and close my eyes. I was once again welcomed to the empty sight of darkness. I feared to open my eyes as I shouted out to nothing.

(Y/N): I-I... I want to go home!! Where the hell am I even at?! What is happening to me?! I-I just want to go home... please....

Hesitant, I slowly opened my eyes and looked to see a familiar sight... the ruins of Hyrule Castle... but how is this possible...?

(Y/N): W-why am I here...? What am I doing here?! A-ARREGHHH?! What is this pain?!

I said gripping the back of my right hand in pain. I then began to notice a white light radiant from it... I was about to move my hand to see what could be the source of the light..

That was until...

-RRRRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRR-

A demonic, unearthly roar could be heard coming from the castle that stood tall in from of me. The ground the began to shake ferociously just as from the depths of the castle itself came an unholy entity. Its intangible body wrapped around the castle whole and the blood moon made it a sight to remember.

I stood motionless at its sight. It was both a marvel and a terror to witness first hand. My first instinct was to flee immediately, but for some reason I couldn't move and before I could even do a thing the entity was now facing me. We made eye contact... neither of us moving at all.. I then for some god forsaken reason reached out for it. It was as if it was calling out to me... and as if I was searching for it.

-RRRRRRROOOOOOOOOAAAAARRRRR-

Just then it let out another ghastly roar as it leaned back and then suddenly with its mouth wide open attacked me where I stood.

Instead of fearing it... I embraced it...

I then began to feel a rush that I've never experienced before?!

A sinister dark aura surrounded me... this feeling... its giving me a high like I've never felt before!!!

(Y/N): HehehehehehHEHEHEHEHAHAHAH!!!! With this power I can... I can... I can... Destroy everything!!!!

Fire then began to surround me as I continued to laugh like a mad man, then suddenly I felt a set of eyes on me and turned towards the familiar figure expectingly. I gave a sinister smirk.

(Y/N): So you've come again... this time I'll end it once and for all!!!

I said as I charged towards the familiar young man with his accursed sword and was about to strike him!!

<Current Time: 7:00 AM>
-Location: Dueling Peak Stable-

(Y/N): WHO AM I?!?

I shouted as I instantly shot up from my bed gasping for air, drenched in sweat. Wiping the sweat from my brow and looking around I noticed that I was back at home. I then heard what sounded like multiple footsteps coming my way and looked towards it to see three familiar faces. Two little boys and one little girl with brown hair.

???: Big Bother?! Are you okay?

???: Yeah Big (Y/N), are you okay?

???: Did you have a nightmare about a big horse eating you, Big (Y/N)? I sometimes have that nightmare too!!

(Y/N): Maron.. Darton... Shibo... what's going on?

Maron: Big Brother... you were tossing and turning in your sleep...

Darton: Plus you were saying some stuff in you sleep too!!!

Shibo: And it wasn't about horses too!!

(Y/N): Oh... yeah sorry to worry you three... I was just having a nightmare. Nothing too serious.

Maron: Are you sure...?

She said giving me a concerned look as I merely just shook it off, stood up, I then pat her on the head and gave her a bright smile.

(Y/N): Come on, Maron! You know me, it's going to take a lot more then a nightmare to shake your big brother.

Maron: Okay...

Seeing as she was still a bit sad I then lifted her up and sat her on my shoulder causing her to blush slightly at the sudden action. I then began to spin around in an attempt to cheer her up.

(Y/N): Come on! Cheer up kiddo!

Maron: Hehe okay, Big Brother!

Seeing that bright smile was conformation for me to stop, so I did. I then set her down gently as the two younger boys looked at us slightly jealous.

(Y/N): Don't worry I'll make sure to tell you all a great bedtime story tonight, okay?

Darton: Really?!

Shibo: Yayy!! Big (Y/N)'s stories are the best!!

Maron: Promise, Big Brother..?

She said holding up her pinky shyly,  I gave her a small smile as I returned the favor and locked pinkies with her.

(Y/N): I promise! Now go on and play I have to do my morning chores before boss snaps at me...-

???: Oi, (Y/N)!! Are you awake yet?

My bosses voice suddenly cut me off as if his timing was perfectly timed.

(Y/N): Speaking of the Demon King...

Maron: Hehehe!

Shibo: Geh Geh Geh!!

Darton: Shi Shi Shi!!

The three kids gave a heart filled laugh at the nickname I gave to the owner of this stable. I also gave a heart filled laugh as well that was until the voice of the owner could be heard again.

???: What was that...?

(Y/N): H-he heard me... I'm on my way Tasseren.

I could feel his eyes pierce the back of my skull... as a drop of sweat dripped from the side of my cheeks. This again caused the kids to laugh again, but this time at my reaction.

(Y/N): Alrighty kiddos, go on and have your fun! I'll see you all later tonight.

Giving a bright smile and ruffling each of their heads, I sent them on their way, however before Maron left she said something.

Maron: I'm okay, Big Brother. We don't have a lot, but we have each other and that's okay. So promise you won't leave me...

(Y/N): Maron... what brought this on?

Maron:... I-I just don't want to lose anyone anymore.. I know you don't remember your past... and I-I'm scared... I'm scared if you remember your past you'll leave me all alone... a-a-and... Uwah?!

I suddenly cut her off by picking her up and giving her a soft smile. I then leaned in and gave her a soft kiss on the forehead, where her bangs didn't cover. As I pulled back I noticed the small tint of pink she had on her cheek.

(Y/N): That should do it.

Maron: W-w-why did you do that?!

She yelled seemingly shocked that I did the thing that I just did. I could only laugh seeing her adorable reaction.

(Y/N): I did it to let you know that I'm not going anywhere. With my memories or without, I'm always going to be here for you. Besides my past doesn't matter, what matters is right now and right now it's you and me. So don't ever say that, okay?

Tears were threatening to slip down her cheek as she simply nodded. She then shocked me herself by giving me a small kiss on the cheek. She then jumped out of my arms, wiped her tears. and looked like she was about to run outside to join Darton and Shibo, that was until she stopped in place.

Maron: I love you, Big Brother...

This brought a smile to my face as I said the same word back to her.

(Y/N): And I love you, my adorable little sister! Now go have fun!

Maron: Mhmm~!

With that she went off to go play with the other two children that inhabited this stable. This left me alone to go on and do my chores. As I was doing them I couldn't help but think about the events that led me up to here and about what Maron was talking about.

Maron fears aren't without reason...

Despite the chaos that is happening all across Hyrule, I have to say my life is pretty strange. As a of two year ago I have no recollection of what I was doing or where I was going. All I remember was suddenly being in front of Hyrule castle and then being chased by hordes of Guardians, but thats besides the point.

All I remember is two things, my name and that I must always keep the marks on my body covered no matter what. I have two marks on my body, well it'd be better to say one mark and one tattoo. The tattoo is on my chest while the mark is on the back of my right hand. I have no idea what these marks origins are, but I promised to keep them hidden. To who I don't remember, but I swore that I would keep these hidden at all cost.

Ever since I woke up on that day at Hyrule castle, I began traveling the land of Hyrule and among my travels I met Maron. Her tale is a sad one, she lost her only parent, her father, to the monsters that roam throughout the lands of Hyrule and she was their next target that was until I came along. I slayed all the beast that attempted to take her life and found a broken girl, not having the heart to leave her behind I took her in and we sorta became our own little happy family.

In an attempt to keep her safe I decided to work for the man who owns this stable. Though I would rather be traveling with her, but considering the many dangers out in Hyrule that made it close to impossible. Still that hasn't stopped me from giving up hope! I want to travel the world with Maron one day and I intend to make that dream a reality one day!

-BAAAAHHHHH-

A ram suddenly tackled me knocking the air out of my lung and me towards the ground. It then began to run away leaving me in the dust.

(Y/N): G-gahhh... t-that damn ram... ~Sigh~.... I don't mind living like this... but I feel like there's something I have to be doing...

After wasting the day away doing my chores I looked up to the now halfway set sun. Feeling slightly tired, I was about to take a nap, that was until... the ground beneath me began to shake?

What is going on?

I questioned in my mind as I got back up and locked around the wide field only to see two things. Multiple towers were rising from the grounds all around Hyrule and the multiple ruins that filled the land of Hyrule were now glowing. Well the ones that I could see at least.

(Y/N): What is going on...?

Not wasting anytime I left the rams in their fence and ran towards the front of the stable, there I saw multiple people, the kids included, looking at the now glowing shrine.

Tasseren: Okay, Okay, good folk there is nothing to fear this is just a change of scenery! Yes that it a change of scenery!

???: But for these ruin to all of a sudden glow it could mean something, don't you think?

???: What could it possibly mean though?!

???: Doesn't matter to me since it isn't the treasure I'm looking for...

???: Just what I expect from the great Dak! Determined to find what he's looking for!!

???: Could this possibly be connected to the blood moon?!

Tasseren: Everyone just please calm down!!

Shibo: It's never done this before?! What do you think is inside?!

Darton: Probably a horse!!

Maron: I don't think that's it... ahh Big Brother!

She said noticing me running towards them. I then stood by them and got a good look at the shrine noticing all the changes it had.

(Y/N): Interesting... it's as if it has awaken from its long slumber... but what could have awoken it... and why now??

Maron: Big Brother...

Shibo: What's Big (Y/N) doing?

Darton: I don't think he's thinking about horses...?

Maron: Sorry, Big Brother gets like this when he set his mind on something he wants to figure out... Big Brother!!

(Y/N): Hmm, Maron? What's wrong?

Maron: Nothing was wrong! You were just spacing out again!

(Y/N): A-Ahh?! My bad, I just couldn't help but feel curious about this! I wonder what could've caused this change and what effect it will have on Hyrule as a whole?

And just like that, as if I spoke these words into existence, something occurred. The familiar sound of a monster could be heard. A group of Bokoblin to be exact.

???: Monsters!!!

Tasseren: Everyone!! Hurry back to the stables quickly!!

Amongst the chaos everyone rushed to get to safety, however I just stood there, a new look in my eyes. A cold distant one, one which I haven't really shown much.

Maron: Big Brother...?

(Y/N): Maron, get to the stables. Don't worry I'll handle this.

I said slightly shocking her, considering the fact that I spoke to her in a serious tone, one that I don't use with her.

Tasseren: Oii! (Y/N)!! You know what to do right!!

The owner of the stables said as he threw something my way. I simply nodded as I caught what he threw at me.

(Y/N): Yeah.. of course I do!

Knowing what he threw at me, I instantly unsheathed it. It was my Traveler's Broadsword, I couldn't help but smirk at the shine of my blade, I then directed my gaze towards the horde of Bokoblin, my eyes having a red tint within them.

(Y/N): Oi, Oi, Oi... you bastards think you can just do whatever you want... you may be winning this war, but I have hope that it'll end one day... and you better be damn sure that I'll have part in it!!

The horde of Bokoblins screeched and then charged at me, I just gave a smirk as I watched them all charge into their deaths.

(Y/N): Let's see... one, two, three, four... Ahh and five. Simple enough.

With that said I instantly threw my blade at the Bokoblin at the front of the pack. As it spins through the air and connected with its target, causing it to be knocked onto its back, I then used that opportunity to jump into the air and grabbed my blade mid-air before it hit the ground and stabbed it through the chest of the Bokoblin that was knocked down instantly ending it life. As it's body fades into a purple mist, I pulled out my blade from the ground and glared at the other four that were sizing me up.

(Y/N): That's one down... four more to go....

Not waiting for them to make a move I decided to charge towards the closet one, it instantly noticed this and brought up the shield that it had to defend itself, however I simply drew back my blade and brought up my foot effectively kicking it out of its hands. I then delivered the final blow by flipping my sword around in my hand and stabbing it down in its shoulder. Reacting purely on instinct, I pulled out my blade and turned around instantly cutting down what was jumping towards me.

(Y/N):.. That's two down... two left...

I turned around with an almost emotionless expression which seemed to have sent shivers down the spines of the remaining two Bokoblins as they stared at me.

They both then looked at each other and exchanged grunt with one another. They both then booked it to the other direction, fleeing from this fight.

(Y/N): Hmph... and don't even think to come back ever again!

I twirled my blade around in my hand a bit and then sheathed it back in its place. I then began to walk towards the stable only to hear some cheers.

(Y/N): ~Sigh~ What a pain... the least they could do is make this a bit more interesting.

???: AMAZING!!!

Tasseren: That's what I pay you for boyo!!

???: Impressive as always, (Y/N).

Maron: Big Brother!!!

Maron shouted out running towards me with concern written all over her face. She instantly jumped up and hugged me, knocking me down to the floor.

(Y/N): M-Maron?!

Maron: I-I'm so glad you're okay!! I-I was so worried that you would have gotten hurt!

She said as tears were dropping from her eyes while she hid her face against my chest. I simply sighed and gave her a pat on the head.

(Y/N): Maron... I told you I could handle it... why don't you have a bit more faith in your big brother?

Maron: I-I-I w-w-was just worried...

She continued to cry laying her head on my chest I then looked up to the sky and noticed that it was quite literally littered with stars.

An idea then struck!

(Y/N): Hey come on, kiddo! There's no need to cry! How about I tell you the story I promised I would tell? That'll make you feel better!

Maron: M-Mhmm... okay, Big Brother...

She said looking up at me as a few tears strayed from her eyes. I wiped them away, picked her up, and then proceeded to walk towards the stable. While I walked in I could still hear a few comments about what I did, but I ignored them and put Maron on her bed.

(Y/N): Darton, Shibo!! Get over here it's story tome!

Shibo: Finally!!

Darton: I've been waiting all day for this!! I can't wait!!

Darton/Shibo: I hope it's about horses!!

The two shouted out elated about the story I was about to tell. They each went in their own bed, all three of them looking at me expectingly, meanwhile the adults went about their business, some even drinking after what happened.

(Y/N): ~Ahem~ I do think it's about time I tell the story don't you?

The three children simply nodded as I gave them a small smile. Before I could even began my story, Maron asked a question.

Maron: What type of story is it, Big Brother?

(Y/N): Hehehe I'm glad you asked! It's one about hope.

Maron: Hope...?

(Y/N): Yeah... it's about a beautiful princess and a courages hero that wields a sword that seals the darkness.

Maron: A sword that can seal the darkness?

(Y/N): Mhmm... their tale is one of hardship, heartache, love, and most of all hope. Their story goes like this...

The kingdom of Hyrule was a vast and fertile land. An advanced civilization that was always the center of attack for a certain darkness.

A dark force of destruction, many times undone and defeated, however it rises over and over again, Ganon the calamitous one.

But hope survived in Hyrule for all was not lost. Two brave souls fought to protect the peace and order. No matter what the cost.

A Godesses-bloood and a fearless knight. They appear in each age to fight the good fight.

Their battle with Ganon is as old as time itself. Their legendary battle has been committed to legend and even song.

Using the advance technology that the kingdom of Hyrule attained, they planned to slay the calamitous one himself.

With four divine beast and four champions in control of them, and with an army of technological advances at hand, victory was surely in reach this time.

With the Goddess-blood and fearless knight in lead, they thought this time surely they can win.

Then....

Once the calamitous once rose again, the two heroes rose to the challenge and fought against this great evil.

With the attacks of the divine beast, Ganon was weaken, and as the battle went on to its climax, the fearless knight with his legendary sword struck the final blow on Ganon.

And with the holy power of the Goddesses-blood, she succeeded in sealing Ganon. Ending his rein.

And that is the story of the brazen attack, on calamity Ganon 10,000 years back.

Maron: W-wow... it's amazing!!

Darton: Yeah!! Even though it wasn't about horses it was great!!

Shibo: I want to hear it agin!! I want to hear it again!

(Y/N): Okay, okay calm down everyone. I can't tell you it again because it past your bedtime.

Shibo: Awww...

Darton: Please...?

Maron: B-but Big Brother...

(Y/N): How about I tell you about why this story brings hope?

This seems to have cheered them up as they each nodded their heads very quickly. I chuckled at their actions and continued to tell my tale.

(Y/N): The reason this story is hopeful is because that right now in this current day and age, we face the threat of darkness, as scary as it is, it brings hope.

Maron: How..?

(Y/N): Because that means the two heroes will rise again. The Goddess-blood and the fearless knight and they will come and save all of Hyrule. I truly believe that with all my heart!

This seems to have impacted the kids, but more so Maron considering her eyes widen and a pink blush found itself on her face. She then gave a cheerful glee and she hugged her pillow. I merely tucked her in and gave her a pat on the head.

(Y/N): Alright, that enough it's time for bed.

Darton: Okay... goodnight Big (Y/N)! Goodnight Shibo, Maron!

Shibo: Night Big (Y/N), Darton, Maron!

Maron: Goodnight Big Brother, Darton, Shibo!

I was about to leave until Maron called me over one last time.

Maron: U-Umm Big Brother...

(Y/N): Hmm what is it Maron?

She looked down shyly and then looked at me with a hopeful look in her eyes. She then said confidently.

Maron: W-when the heroes come back and save us... I-I want to travel all of Hyrule with you!

(Y/N): Is that so? Is that a promise I hear?

Maron: Mhmm~!!

She nodded her head as she held out her pinky. Not wasting any time I walked towards her and locked pinkies with her.

(Y/N)/Maron: Pinky promise!

She then jumped up on her bed and gave me another kiss on the cheek, this in all honestly shocked me...

Maron: I love you, Big brother!

I simply smiled at what she said and what she just did. I returned her sign of affection, but instead of her cheek I gave her a peck on the forehead and then brought her into a hug.

(Y/N): I love you too, Maron. Sweet dreams kiddo.

Maron: Mhmm.

With that she laid back down onto her bed and slowly drifted off to sleep. Looking over at the two boys, they were already asleep, smiling at the sight I got up and walked towards the adults who were chatting.

Tasseren: That was a good story as usual, (Y/N).

My boss suddenly complimented me, as some of the other adults nodded at what he said. I simply shook my head.

(Y/N): Nah, I can't take the credit, I heard this story from someone before I came here, though he told this story in song. I just borrowed it.

Tasseren: Still it's a good thing to instill hope in the next generation.

(Y/N): I wouldn't say that...

Tesseren: H-huh what do you mean?

(Y/N): While the story is hopeful for the kids it really is a tragic story.

Tesseren: Why do you say that?

(Y/N): It's always the heroes saving us less fortunate ones, but what about the heroes themselves. Forced to take part in the same battle over and over again. Truly a tragic endless fate. One would go mad in their position, I know I would.

Tesseren: Wow... I never thought about it like that, but still I think they'd do it anyways despite it being an endless battle.

(Y/N): Hou? And why do you say that?

Tesseren: Well it's obvious don't you see, the Goddess-blood and the fearless knight love the people of Hyrule and no matter what they have to go through, they always save us. Isn't that right? And like I mentioned before they inspire the next generation with hope. Isn't that enough?

(Y/N): Yeah. I don't want them growing up in fear of tomorrow, but to look forward to what this life has in store for them.

???: Pffft... what a waste of time... ~Hic~ ....

???: D-Dak...?!

This caught my attention, one of our usual clients, a pair of treasure hunter all of a sudden cut into our conversation. The stench of alcohol could be smelled from him and his words were slightly slurred, but he was sober enough to continue what he was saying.

Dak: What?! It's true!! What's the point of instilling hope?! Huh?! Nothing! That's what!

(Y/N): Watch your mouth...

I said darkly at him, this seemed to have enraged him as he walked towards me and stood right up in my face.

Dak: Or what huh ~Hic~?! I'm a great treasure hunter and you're just some nobody from nowhere!! Besides the only good thing this hope stuff is good for is getting yourself killed ~Hic~! These little brats have to learn it one way or another?!

I stood up and instantly grabbed him by his shirt and slowly picked him up from the ground. I glared at him as he continued talking.

Tesseren: (Y/N)! That's enough!!

My boss said, however I ignored his words and continued to glare at Dak. He only gave a smug look as I threatened him.

(Y/N): Say what you want about me, but don't you dare say anything about Maron!

Dak: ~Hic~ Your just a big nobody... if that girl gets stuck with someone like you she'll end up being killed by those monsters or wors-....?!

My fist instantly connected with the side of his face as I gave him a dark enraged look. I hit him so hard that he flew back into some boxes breaking them in the process.

(Y/N): You bastard!! I'll kill you for that!!

I shouted and was about to go beat him up some more, however my boss grabbed me from behind preventing me from going any further.

Tesseren: Thats enough (Y/N)! Calm yourself!

(Y/N): Let me go so I can teach that bastard a lesson!

I said trying to escape the grasp of my boss, however he held on tightly. Meanwhile Dak's flunky went to help him up, Dak was knocked out. I gave a smirk seeing that.

Tesseren: That's it, (Y/N)! Behind the stables now!

Not saying a word I complied with my boss and followed him behind the stable where he would usually scold me if I did something wrong.

(Y/N): Look, I'm not going to apologize to that bastard! What he said was way out of line!

Tesseren: I agree! But the way you lashed out at him was unacceptable! This isn't the first time you've done this either! You let your rage and your anger get ahead of you! And I've had enough of it!

(Y/N): W-what do you mean by that?

Tesseren: ~Sigh~ Look, (Y/N)... you're a good kid with a good heart, but I can't deal with this anymore. My business can't deal with this anymore. I have to let you go.

(Y/N): What?! B-but...

I was at a lost of words... sure this wasn't the first time that this happened, but for him to suddenly say all this is... it's just unexpected.

Tesseren: This stable was fine before you got here and it will continue to be so after you leave. I'm sorry it had to come to this, boyo. My kids think highly of you, please don't make this any harder then it is.

(Y/N): Fine...

Tesseren: I'm sorry. Kakariko Village isn't too far from here. It's a safe place where you can live with Maron. I'll give you until the day after tomorrow to pack your things and leave.

(Y/N): Tch...

Was all I said as I walked off away from the stables. I couldn't believe what just happened... and just when Maron was getting used to life here.

(Y/N): What am I going to do now...?

Without even realizing I walked up to the old shrine, I didn't noticed it until I heard the sound of something coming up?

(Y/N): What is that noise?!

I questioned as I looked at the shrine only to notice one significant change to the shrine. Instead of it glowing orange it was now glowing a deep blue color, just then something came out from within the shrine. A young man wearing some old looking clothes, blue eyes, and blond hair to match. For some reason I felt my gaze turn into a glare as many questions crossed my mind, however I could only really ask this one...

(Y/N): Who are you...?

~(Y/N)'s Pov~
<Current Time: Next Day- 12:00 PM>
-Location: Ash Swamp-

(Y/N): How the hell did I get stuck with this chore...?!

I shouted as I was crouching in the fields that are near the Ash Swamps with my new companion right next to me. If it wasn't clear what we're doing, I'm teaching Link here on how to tame a wild horse.

(Y/N): ~Sigh~ Well it doesn't matter how I got here, what matters now is that I teach you how to tame a wild one. First things first solid colored horses are a lot more complicated to tame, while horses with spots are a lot easier to tame.

Link only nodded as he continued to listen to my teachings about taming a wild horse. I then motioned for him to follow me as I continued whispering instructions.

(Y/N): Second thing is that wild horses are easily startled, so sneaking up on them is the best way to get close to them. Then once your right next to one catch it by surprise, jump onto its back, and before it can knock you off try to soothe it. That's pretty much all that's to it.

He once again nodded without saying a word, I just sighed as I turned around and was about to demonstrate how to do it.

I slowly started to make my way to a solid black horse with long black hair and blue eyes. Seeing as it was a bit always from the other horses that inhabited the Ash Swamp fields, I decided to take advantage of this opportunity and jumped on its back before it realized I was there. As soon as I landed on it the horse tried to knock me off, however I wouldn't let it end so easily, I held on and continued to sooth the horse until eventually it calmed down and began to follow my orders. I then turned to Link to see he was somewhat amazed that I tamed a solid color horse on my first try.

(Y/N): And that's how it's done. Don't feel too bad if you can't do it the first time, these guys do make it difficult for a reason. So now it's your turn alright.

Link once again nodded, he then went to take action. Sneaking through the fields of the Ash Swamp, he snuck up behind the horde of horses. Slowly,but surely he was inching his way there and just when it seemed like he was about to make it, he stepped on a tree branch, breaking it, and then causing some noise which scared the horses in the process. Seeing as they all ran away Link gave somewhat of a defeated look.

(Y/N): Hahahaha! Don't worry too much about it just keep on trying!

I found this to be quite funny.

As the day went on, Link kept trying and trying, while he was making some progress he couldn't help, but keep falling off when he tried to jump on a horse.

(Y/N): Your stamina must be terrible if you can't stay on for that long...

Even though he kept on failing, he kept going. He was determined to succeed no matter what. When I saw the determination in his eyes, I couldn't help but wonder why is he so determined?

So on and on he went and with each fail he got better and better until he eventually succeeded! There he was on a brown horse, with glowing white hair and brown eyes to match, she was a marvel.

(Y/N): It's about time. It took all day, but you finally caught one and a beauty at that. What are you going to name her?

Link:...

(Y/N): What you haven't thought about it? Hmm well give it some thought, come let's go back to the stable to register that horse and get her some gear.

Link nodded and began to follow me as I walked back to the stable, I decided to free the horse that I caught considering that I already had a horse waiting for me at the stable. Seeing as we were still a bit away from the stable I decided to ask Link some questions about himself and was shocked to figure this out.

(Y/N): You lost your memories too?!

Link:...?

(Y/N): Yeah I lost my memories a couple year ago. I was six-teen I think...? Anyways I just one day found myself in front of Hyrule castle, I couldn't remember anything at all and now here I am.

Link:...?

(Y/N): Oh that little girl is Maron. She lost everything she loved to the monsters that roam this land, I saved her and she stuck with me ever since then.

Link:....

(Y/N): Hmm looks like we have a lot more in common the I first believed.

Link:....

(Y/N): Oi what is that suppose to mean?!

I shouted at what he just said only to break into a fit of laughter. He seemed to have joined in on this as we both just laughed without a care in the world, the full moon shining high in the sky.

(Y/N): Oi, Link...

Link:...?

(Y/N): Do you think we could be friends?

Link:....!

His fast response kinda shocked me to be honest... I never really got along with anyone around my age or older as a matter of fact.

(Y/N): Geez... when you say it so eagerly like that it sounds kinda embarrassing... but thanks... I never had a friend my age before.

Link:...

(Y/N): "Not that we can remember" he say. Heh your sure are a funny guy that's for sure. So what are you going to do now?

Link:...

(Y/N): I see. So you have something important to do, so first you're going to Kakariko Village and then you're off to do this important mission. Would you mind if Maron and I tag along on your way to Kakariko village. I could show you the way and then we'll split paths?

Link:...!

(Y/N): Alright, alright no need to sound so eager. Man you really are full of surprises, huh? Mhmm... there's the stable come on let's hurry up!

We both then eventually made it to the stables and as Link was registering his horse, Maron walked out and greeted us.

Maron: Big Brother! You're back!

(Y/N): Yup! Sorry it took so long, Maron... Link had some problems, but he eventually got it.

Maron: Thats good to hear!

Just then we heard Tesseren ask Link the question I asked him earlier.

Tesseren: So what are you going to name her?

This caught Maron's attention, she then took a good look at the horse. She then started to walk towards it for some reason and when she got close she put her hand on her. She also seemed to look slightly sad for some reason.

Maron: This horse... she reminds me of the one I had.... her name was Epona... I miss her....

Link:...

Seeing that she was sad I picked her up and brought her into a hug and gave a small smile.

(Y/N): Epona huh? Well I think that's a lovely name, don't you Link?

Link nodded his head.

(Y/N): How about we name her Epona? Would that be alright with you Maron?

Maron: Mhmm! That way her memory will live on.

She said a little broken up as tears threatened to slip from her eyes. I could only confront her as Link nodded and then went to go finish registering his horse.

(Y/N): There, there kiddo. Its going to be alright. How about we go to sleep? We got a bit of a trip to take tomorrow.

Maron: Okay... Big Brother. Goodnight Mr. Link.

Walking over to Maron's bed, I tucked her in and was about to wish her goodnight, until she asked a question.

Maron: Big Brother... do we really have to leave tomorrow...?

I sighed knowing that she would eventually ask this question.

(Y/N):~Sigh~ Sadly we do... I-I'm sorry...

Maron: Why are you apologizing, Big Brother?

(Y/N): Because it's my fault... you're big brother made another mistake and because of that we have to leave... I'm sorry, Maron... I'm just a no good big brother...

I said slightly looking down and I kneeled by her bedside. I then felt a warm pair of hands on top of my own. Looking up I saw Maron with a soft smile on her face.

Maron:Mhnn. You're not a no good big brother... you're the best big brother. You always take care of me, tell me bed time stories, and whenever I want to cry you're always there for me. It's okay if you mess up and it's okay if you make mistakes, but never forget I'll always love you, Big Brother!

Comedic tears were steaming down my face as her words touched my heart, I instantly brought her in to a tight hug.

(Y/N): Waaaaahhhhhh Maron!!!! Big Brother loves you tooooo!!!

Maron: B-big Brother!! T-t-this is kinda embarrassing... b-but... also... very nice....

She said returning the hug.

After some time passed she finally went to sleep. Looking over to Link, I see him sitting by the camp fire so I decided to join him.

(Y/N): Well tomorrows the day we head to Kakariko Village. I wonder how life is going to be for us there?

Link:...

(Y/N): Mhmm I bet it will be. Though this mission of yours, what are you to do exactly?

Link:....

(Y/N): It's a long story you say...? Well we got time don't you think?

I said giving him a smile which he returned, then he started telling me about his tale. About his sudden awakening and what he had to go through to eventually reach this point, however there were some moment that he didn't know, due to his amnesia, but I still couldn't help but feel he was holding some things back.

(Y/N): Well interesting... I can see why you want to go to Kakariko Village now. To hopefully get answers to your past. Well if that's the case I'll help you out!

Link:...?

(Y/N): Don't worry about the small stuff! Besides we're friends now! How can I go on and live my life if I know you're having some trouble with remembering your past. I won't stand for that!

Link:....!

(Y/N): Heh no need to thank me, like I said we're friends. I'll be there for you when you need me and I hope I can expect the same from you.

Link merely nodded and willingly did so, it put a smile on my face. We both then spent the night just chatting and looking at the stars, it felt good... for the first time in my life I felt normal.

<Current Time: Next Day- 7:00 AM>
-Location: Dueling Peak Stable-

It was now the next day.

The day Maron and I are forced to leave the stables because of my mistake. I couldn't help but feel guilty, but what's been done has been done.

Darton: B-but I don't want Maron and Big (Y/N) to leave!!!

Shibo: W-why do you have to go?!!

(Y/N): Sorry kiddos, but I've made a mistake. The blame lies with me on this one.

Maron: B-but don't worry!! Big brother and I promise that we'll visit whenever we can! Right Big Brother?

(Y/N): Yeah, this isn't good-bye, it's more like till we meet again!

Darton: O-okay... take care... w-we'll miss you two...

Shibo: B-but... Mhmm take care of yourselves!! Also if you ever forget about horses we'll be here!!

Maron: Mhmm~!

(Y/N): Right! Well take care of yourselves. Come on Maron.

Walking outside the stable I saw Tesseren with my horse standing right next to him, all set to go. I walked towards him and grabbed the lead of my horse.

Tesseren: Take cafe of yourself, boyo.

(Y/N): Yeah, thank you for everything and sorry for the trouble I've caused.

I said bowing in respect, seeing this he instantly turned around and wiped his eyes with the sleeves of his shirt.

Tesseren: Baka! Men should part without tears!! Now get going!!

(Y/N): Okay...? Well it's about time we leave, take care of yourself okay!

Tesseren: Right, same to the two of you.

With that I helped Maron onto my horse and then proceed to hop on myself, right behind her. With one look towards Link, who was already on his horse ready to leave, we left due north.

On the way to Kakariko Village, we faced little to no trouble, however for some reason Link stopped out of nowhere and began to talk to himself? We then proceeded forwards and cleared a clan of Bokoblins and found a pair of maracas then we back tracked and Link seemed to give them away to something?

I don't really know how to explain it, but after that we pressed on until finally we made it to Kakariko Village. It was quite the view, no signs of war or chaos, it seemed almost peaceful.

Maron: B-Big Brother!! This place looks amazing!

(Y/N): Yeah, this place sure is something... it's my first time here too... at least I think it is...

Upon entering the village we came encounter with this old lady, she seemed to be hurt, however when she noticed us she instantly stood up. She seemed to have noticed Link or rather something that Link has.

Old Lady ???: Is that a Sheikah Slate?! In any case before all else you should visit Lady Impa's house, just head towards Lantern Falls. In any case... it was a real honor to meet you. Heh, I suppose you're used to that, having lived as long as you have.

With that we both left our horses at the entrance of the village and walked towards the direction of this Lady Impa's house.

(Y/N): Oi, Link... what did she mean by that?

Link:....

(Y/N): Again with the long story... fine let's just head towards this Lady Impa's house and get the information you need.

Link:...?

(Y/N): Don't worry about that! First I'm going to rent out a room from the inn after that I'm sticking with you until we find out more about your past.

With that he nodded and we continued our way there, meanwhile Maron was slightly overreacting with everything she saw in the village.

Maron: B-big brother look at that!!

Was a phrase that I heard quite often from the little one as her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. She would often come and grab my hand and drag me to something that she found amazing. It was adorable to be honest but we had something that we needed to do.

(Y/N): M-Maron.. come on we have to focus...

Maron: S-Sorry Big Brother...

(Y/N): Don't worry about it kiddo, I promise we'll do some shopping after we help Link.

Maron: Really?! Thank you, Big Brother!!

(Y/N): I'll also buy you some new clothes!

Maron: Yay~! I love you, Big Brother!!

(Y/N): I love you more, now come on let's go settle into an inn.

Maron: Mhmm!

Now focusing on what we had to do, we followed the instruction of the old lady that we met at the front of the village and walked towards Lady Impa's house. Just as we were about to walk up front I told Link to go ahead of me.

(Y/N): Link go on ahead. I'm going to set up at the inn and leave Maron there, I'll meet you at Lady Impa's house after I'm done.

Link gave a nodded and began to walk towards the house as Maron gave a displeased look and pouted at me.

Maron: E-ehhh?! B-but why Big Brother?!

(Y/N): I get the feeling that there are something's that you shouldn't hear... sorry Maron but I'm not really asking you.

Maron: B-but... okay Big Brother...

She said looking depressed as she began to walk forwards, seeing this I quickly picked her up and sat her at the back of my neck with her legs being over and landing onto my chest.

Maron: B-big Brother?!

She exclaimed as her face blew up into a bright pink, while all that could be heard was my snickering. I then began to walk towards the Inn.

(Y/N): I'll let you know afterwards alrighty kiddo, so please don't look so sad.

Finally arriving at the inn I entered and set up a room for both Maron, Link, and myself so we could settle down for the night. Making our way up to the room I put down our bags and watched as Maron jumped onto the bed and laid down.

Maron: Waaahhh~ Thanks for getting me the soft bed, Big Brother!!

(Y/N): Anything for you, Kiddo. Alrighty I'm going to go check on Link, you stay here alright?

Maron:Mhmm... only if you promise to play with me once you come back!!

(Y/N): Heh, is that how it is? Very well then, you know the deal!

I said holding up my pinkie towards her as she nodded and gave a bright smile while mirroring my actions.

Maron: It's not official unless we shake pinkies!

We then locked out pinkies while saying the same words at the same time together.

(Y/N)/Maron: It's a promise!!

As we sepereated our pinkies a bright pink blush was present on her cheeks as she rolled back on to her bed and hugged her pillow why she gave out a joyful giggle.

Maron: Hehehehe Big brother and I are are going to play!!

(Y/N): Alrighty, Maron be on your best behavior. I'll be right back after I finish helping Link.

Maron: Okay Big Brother~ be safe!

(Y/N): Yeah, you too~!

With that I left the room with my sword hanging on my hip, soon after the inn, and then made my way to this Lady Ima's house. On my way there I couldn't help but notice two guards standing in front of the grand stair cases that led to her house.

(Y/N): I wonder what connection Link has to these people... after all... they kept calling him a hero... oh well only one way to find out.

Walking up to the guards and about to walk past them they instantly blocked my way preventing me from going any further.

Guard 1 ???: Who are you?!

Guard 2 ???: And who do you think you are walking to Lady Impa's house?!

(Y/N): Whoa, whoa calm down fellas! I meant no harm. I just happen to have some business with her.

Guard 1: And what type of business would that be?!

(Y/N): Look I just came to help out a friend who really needed to meet Lady Impa! He went ahead of me so he's probably already talking to her as we speak!

Guard 2 ???: Wait are you saying you're friends with the hero?!

Guard 1 ???: Well in that case...

Hero...?

I thought to myself, however my thoughts were interrupted by the two guards suddenly accusing me of something.

Guard 2 ???: Wait! I don't buy this... he may be a Yiga Clan spy!!

I froze as I heard that...

T-that name...

The sound of my heartbeat began to drown out the sound all around me. As my head began to throb in pain.

~BA THUMPM~

Yiga Clan...?

My thoughts began to fade heavily as my breathing began to shift rapidly. All the while the two guards continued their conversation about me.

Guard 1 ???: Y-you really think so?!

Guard 1 ???: Yeah this is just all to convenient. They could be trying to use this ruse to assassinate Lady Impa.

~BA THUMPMM~

W-why does this name make me feel this way...?!

I slowly raised my hands to my head as the pain began to intensify I felt as if my mind was about to break that was until...

Guard 1 ???: OOIII!!

Guard 2 ???: He's gone all quite now?! He must be a part of them!! He's shocked that he was caught?!

Snapping out of my thoughts I quickly brought up my hands defensively. They both began to walk towards trying to apprehend me.

(Y/N): Oi, Oi cut this out?! Look I'm not apart of whatever clan you named! I just wanted to check up on my friend!!

Guard 1 ???: Sorry but unless you have any proof of this we can't let you through!

Guard 2 ???: So until then stay out of trouble, we'll be keeping our eyes on you!

(Y/N): Alright, alright I promise I won't cause any trouble.

With that I walked away for the entrance to the stairs that led to Lady Impa's house and towards the multiple statues of frogs.

(Y/N): Damnit... what is it with guards in Hyrule not letting people through without any proof?! Tch... looks like they won't let me through no matter what I do... that only confirms my suspicions of you, Link. Could you really be the hero that fell in battle one-hundred years ago...?  No matter I have to find a way up there... I need to help him.

Looking around I noticed one possible way I could sneak up to Lady Impa's house.

(Y/N): Well I have to be sneaky about this and I might get a little wet, but this is better then waiting here and doing nothing.

I said walking further away from the guards to the point where they could not see me. I then looked towards the side of Impa's house, considering it was beneath a waterfall in the center of a source of water. All I had to do was swim towards the side of the cliff and then climb up to the house.

(Y/N): Simple enough right...?

???: Mister? What are you doing? Ahhh Koko knows!! You're being suspicious!

Surprised by the sudden voice I looked towards the source and saw a young child standing next to a fire with a pot over it.

(Y/N): O-Oi you surprised me! And ya know I'm not being sneaky just trying to get to Lady Impa's house, I have to ask her something...

I said trying to convince the young girl that I wasn't suspicious.

Koko: Hmmm.... Koko doesn't believe you! But if you help Koko, Koko will believe you!!

(Y/N): A-are you blackmailing me?!

Koko: Koko doesn't know what blackmailing means? Koko just wants to make food for her and her sister! Like Koko's Mother use to do!

(Y/N): Use to...?

Koko: Mhmm~!! Koko wants to be just like Mother! Mother went to heaven a long time ago and Koko wants to help Father! So Koko will learn how to cook Mother's recipe!

(Y/N): Ugh... way to pull at my heart strings... fine kiddo I promise after I'm done talking with Lady Impa, I'll help you cook!

Koko: Really?! You promise, Mister?!

(Y/N): Yeah and I'm not one to break a promise!

Koko: Yay!! Koko is so happy right now~!!

(Y/N): Oi, Koko what are you doing?

Koko: Hmm Koko is just happy! What do you mean mister...?

(Y/N): Well heh, I always tell my little sister that a promise isn't official until we shake pinkies!

With that said I rose my pinky towards the little white haired girl. At first she just looked at it confused but then she gave a bright smile as a pink tint covered her cheeks, she then copied my actions and locked pinkies with me.

(Y/N)/Koko: It's a promise~!

Koko: Thanks Mister~! You're really nice!

(Y/N): No problem, Kiddo. Besides how can I as a man turn down the request of a young lady. Hehe anyways sit here and wait I'll be right back!

Koko: Mhmm~ Be careful Mister~!

With that said and done, I slowly jumped over the wooden fence that cut off people from entering the water source that Lady Impa's house sat in and quietly made my way into the water. Once in the water I began to swim towards the cliff side of the rock formations that Impa's house sat on.

(Y/N): ~Sigh~ Step on done. Now onto the semi hard part.

I said as I finally reached the cliff side and then proceed to began climbing it until I eventually reached the top. Seeing as I made it to the top I couldn't help but notice how many mushrooms were growing under this lady's house. Ignoring what I just saw I proceeded to jump onto the porch of the house and smirked triumphantly.

(Y/N): Hehe infiltration is a success! I should be a ninja! Now all I have to do is find Link and- GAAAHHHH?!?!

As I was saying those words I quickly turned around and began to walk only to collide with something that was standing in front of me! Whatever it was that I hit, I collided it with my forehead.

(Y/N): OWwww!!!

I shouted out in pain as I fell onto my behind all the whole clenching my forehead with my hands. Meanwhile the person in front of me was also knocked down and in a world of pain.

???: O-ouch t-that really hurt...

Said the new voice, it sounded feminine, but currently I really didn't care seeing as I instantly stood up and got a good lock at the person I knocked down. She was also holding her forehead in pain, however as she saw me stand up we both locked eyes with each other.

And something happened...

My eyes locked with her own and I instantly noticed her features. She had white hair, brown eyes, and was wearing the tradition outfit of this village, but there was something about her that made me freeze.

As she looked at me her cheeks then began to turn a dark shade of red as did my own but for different reason.

I then began to feel weird... my stomach felt weird and I could feel my heart beats accelerate. I could feel my cheeks heat up...

W-what is this feeling...?!

All the while the young girl however was having a somewhat similar reaction, however for different reasons... it felt as if her stomach dropped and her heart beat increased rapidly.

We both then opened up our mouth to ask/say something that was on our minds...

(Y/N): Who are...-

However I was cut off by her sudden shoutings?!

???: BURGLAR!!!

The feelings I felt was unknown to me, but now I know why she looked the way she did... she feared me because she thought I was a burglar...?

(Y/N): Ehh... REEEHHHHH?!

???: P-please w-we don't have much! So please don't hurt me or my Grandmother!!

(Y/N): O-Oi cal-calm down! I-I'm not a burglar.

I said getting closer however she immediately covered her face in fear and backed away from me. Confused by this I tried to get closer but this time she let out another cry.

??!: Kyyyyyaaaa!!! P-please good sir, please don't get near me!! I-I'm not comfortable around men so p-please!!!

(Y/N): Oi!! Like I said I'm not a burglar and please quiet down!!

??!: P-please save me... Master Link...

She said more quietly this time...

Hearing this I was kinda shocked considering one thing and one thing alone...?

(Y/N): You actually listened to me when I told you to quite down?! What's with you!!

???: P-please just don't hurt me or my family.... or anyone in the village...

She said shaking, I was about to say something again that was until I noticed it...

???: P-please just go away peacefully...

As the young girl hid her face behind her hands I walked slowly towards her and kneeled before her to the point I was face to face with her. Feeling my close presence she slightly lowered her hands and flinched at my sudden closeness but before she could jump away I put my hand on her forehead and raised her bangs and what I saw... made my heart beat faster.

My vision darkened as my hand unconsciously reached for the hilt of my blade. All that I could focus on was that mark... that mark... that mark...

I must destroy....

As I was about to commit an unspeakable action to this young innocent girl without even knowing why, my mind began to ring causing me to let go of the hilt of my blade and clench my head with my right hand in pain.

(Y/N): G-g-gaaah?!!

I suddenly shouted out causing the young white haired girl to look at me in concern all the while I still had my hand holding up her bangs.

???: A-are you okay, Mister?!

She suddenly asked but due to the ringing I couldn't understand what she just said. Then all of a sudden I heard it.

"(Y/N)... chosen vessel of the.... one"

"(Y/N)!!!"

"......No....."

"You.... must"

"......"

"Resist!!!"

"Give... in..."

"Y-you must forgive them... they're are not responsible.... you must forgive them...."

Hearing those words the pain finally stopped... and a new feeing replaced it. The young girl looked at me with a look of shock and just as she was about to say something I connected my forehead with her own. Tears streaming down the side of my cheeks as I repeated the same apology over and over again.

(Y/N): Forgive me.... Forgive me... forgive me... forgive me... forgive me... forgive me.... descendant of the Sheikah Clan... please forgive my sins....

???: Y-y-you're s-s-so close... b-but why are you c-c-crying...?

An instant look of realization hit me as I instantly backed away from the girl now realizing how close I was.

(Y/N): I-I'm sorry... I-I don't know what came over me o-or why I'm even crying?

I said as I tried wiping my tears away, but no matter how much I would wipe them away the tears would continue to come down. As if I was feeling something that I had long forgotten...

(Y/N): Damnit... I can't stop crying no matter what I do!

???: M-Mister... are you okay?

(Y/N):I-I don't know....

Concerned for my well being she tried to come closer to me, however that was interrupted when we heard the sound of multiple footsteps coming our way.

Guard 1 ???: Paya? Are you alright?! We heard some yelling!!

Guard 2 ???: Is everything alright?!

Looking towards the sound of multiple footsteps we saw a group running towards us, surprisingly Link was leading their charge.

Link:...?

Guard 1 ???: Hey!! It's him!! I knew you were suspicious!!

Guard 2 ???: There's no escaping us!! We even have the legendary hero at our side!

However when they saw that I was crying and the young white haired girl was trying her best to calm me down, they stopped their charge and gave a shocked and confused look.

Guard 1 ???: What is going on here?!

Guard 2 ???: Paya are you alright?!

Paya: Y-yes I'm alright...

Guard 1 ???: Can you tell us what's going on here?

Paya: W-well...

(Y/N): Don't bother...

I said standing up as tears were no longer coming out and I looked them all in the eye. Wiping away the last of it I looked up to them and said.

(Y/N): This is all my fault, sorry. So please don't blame her.

Link:...?

(Y/N): I was trying to catch up to you but those guards wouldn't let me through!

Guard 1 ???: E-Ehh so you actually are friends with Master Link?!

Link just nods as both guards looked at each other in shock. They then looked at me with an apologetic look on their faces.

Guard 1 ???: F-forgive us about the trouble we gave you earlier.

Guard 2 ???: Yes... please forgive us.

(Y/N): Heh, don't worry about it. I know you were just trying to keep your leader safe. Plus, I guess I am a bit suspicious... so all is forgiven!

Guard 1 ???: E-ehhh?! Just like that?!

Guard 2 ???: Y-you are so forgiving...

(Y/N): You're only doing you're job so why should I fault you for it. That being said.

I then turned to face the girl who I bumped into and caused a scene with. When we made eye contact she slightly jumped back in fear. I then instantly bowed down and asked for her forgiveness.

(Y/N): Please forgive me for the trouble I caused you earlier! It was wrong of me to sneak into your house and bump into you! So please forgive me!

Paya: U-Uwah?! P-p-please stop that... I-it's really e-embarrassing!

(Y/N): B-but I have to apologize... after all I caused you a lot of trouble...

Paya: I-it's alright...

(Y/N): Are you sure...?

Paya: M-Mhmm... it's alright so please don't worry a-about it...

(Y/N): Well if you say so. You're so nice! Thanks for forgiving me!

I said walking up to her and grabbing her both of her hands to shake them, which as a result cause her to slightly jump and for her pale face to blow up into a blush.

(Y/N): My name is (Y/N)! It's nice to meet you miss...?

Paya: P-p-p-p-p....

(Y/N): Hmm...?

Paya: P-p... m-my name i-is P-p-paya!!!

(Y/N): Paya, huh? I like your name! Well anyways it's very nice to meet you, Paya, but sadly Link and I have to chat with Lady Impa!

Link:...

(Y/N): Ehh?! You already finished your talk with her?!

Link:...

(Y/N): Oi it's not my fault I took so long!!

Link:...

(Y/N): Fine, Fine good point.

Link:...

(Y/N): Hmm there's something that she has yet to tell you? Alright let's go find that out!

Link nodded and with that we both walked towards the front door to Lady Impa's house. Leaving the two guards and Paya just standing there slightly confused.

Guard 1 ???: What a weird kid..?

Guard 2 ???: Yeah... though I can't get rid of the feeling that I've met that kid before...?

Guard 1 ???: You too?

Guard 2 ???: Yeah... weird. Are you alright Paya...?

Paya: Y-yeah... I-it's just that h-he got so close... I felt like my heart was about to explode.. it also didn't help that Master Link was so close...

She said putting her hands over her chest trying to calm her breathing. Meanwhile as soon as Link and I entered her house I instantly took notice of the older lady who sat at the center of the building. She also seemed to have taken notice of me considering her eyes slightly turned into a glare.

???: You?!

(Y/N): H-huh?!

Slightly taken aback by my response her glare turned into a look of confusion as she asked me who I was to which I complied with.

???: Who are you, young man?

(Y/N): My name is (Y/N). I came here to help Link discover his past

???: Is that so... then I take it you know who I am?

(Y/N): Yeah, I'm guessing you're Lady Impa. It's a great honor to meet you.

The elderly women looked at me with a look of shock, as if she was expecting me to say something else. She then asked something else which caught me slightly off guard.

Lady Impa: Do you not know me?

(Y/N): H-huh... what do you mean? I mean I do know of you, but this is the first time we officially met...?

Lady Impa: You don't remember...?

(Y/N): Remember...? Sadly I don't remember anything of my past... h-have we met before?

Lady Impa:.. I see. My mistake young one. It seems I have mistaken you for another.

(Y/N): E-eh... b-but... no never mind. After all we're not here for me... we're here for Link. He's the one isn't he.

Link:...?

(Y/N): Come on.. you don't think I'm that stupid do you? I've seen how the people reacted to you and the fact that you can travel into those ruins... Link you're the hero who fell in battle one-hundred years ago aren't you.

Link:...?!

Lady Impa: So it seems like you knew. Link has a long and perilous mission ahead of him, to save not only Hyrule, but the princess as well.

(Y/N): I see...

Lady Impa: With this information what is it that you hope to seek?

(Y/N):... At first it was to help out my friend who lost his memories... but now hearing all this... it looks like you have a heavy burden to carry...

I said looking towards Link as he nodded.

(Y/N): I knew it... I knew that the hero would one day return and save us from the darkness we face today.

Lady Impa:...?!

(Y/N): But....

Link:...?

(Y/N): Now that I know that my friend is that hero with the heavy burden... how can I stay back and let you carry it alone.

Link:...?!

Lady Impa:...?!

(Y/N): Link... if you would can I join you on your journey?!

Link:...?!

(Y/N): That doesn't matter! Look you've seen me in action! You know I can handle myself in a fight so please! Let me help you!

Lady Impa: Why...? Why would you take such lengths for someone you just met...?

(Y/N): Well... you got me there... I don't really have a good come back for that... all I know is that I want to help my friend. It may not be much compared to what the hero can do, but let me help ease the burden you have to carry, Link!

Lady Impa:...?!

(Y/N): Plus how can I just stand by when I can help... I won't take no for an answer Link!

Lady Impa: I see... the road ahead is a dangerous and perilous one. If you were to go with Link, you would have to risk your life. Are you prepared for that?

(Y/N): I promised my little sister that I would do anything I can to help me keep the promise I made with her. Saving Hyrule would be included don't you think? My mind is made up, even if I have to give up my life, I intend to keep this promise!

Lady Impa: I see... I don't see a reason to turn him down, Link. After all he could be to you what I was to Princess Zelda back then.

(Y/N): No... we'll be comrades who fight side by side together as equals!

Lady Impa: I see... you really have matured... no it's more like you've changed completely.

This caught my attention, however Lady Impa seemed to to have pushed right past it and began to address Link and I.

Lady Impa: Very well. Link what's say you?

Link:...!

(Y/N): Thanks... I promise I won't hold you back!

Lady Impa: Understood. In any case Link and (Y/N) you should both head to Hateno Village to restore the Sheikah Slate to its former glory. After that the goal is to release the Four Divine Beast from Calamity Ganons control.

(Y/N): In that case, Link could you go to Hateno Village on your own?

Link:...?

(Y/N): Well I have to break the news to Maron, plus I have some business that I would like to take care of here in Kakariko Village before we set off.

Lady Impa: I see, in that case Link, go to Hateno Village and the meet up with us once again here in Kakariko Village. As for you (Y/N) would you mind staying for a while there's something I would like to discuss with you.

(Y/N): Understood, in that case Link have a safe trip to Hateno Village!

I said while holding up my first towards him which he mirrored my actions and fist bumped.

(Y/N): Meet up with me at the inn and then we'll go meet Lady Ima together, be safe buddy.

With a nod of acknowledgement he went off to complete his task, meanwhile Impa and I had a talk.

(Y/N): If you don't mind me asking, Lady Impa, but why is it that you wanted to have a talk with me?

Lady Impa: (Y/N), who are you...?

(Y/N): I'm sorry. I'm afraid I don't understand your question.

Lady Impa: Forgive me, but would you allow me a question. You said you lost your memories just as Link did correct?

(Y/N): Yeah, a couple years back the last thing I remember was waking up in front of Hyrule Castle. Other then that I can't remember a thing...

Lady Impa: I see. That is all I wanted to ask.

(Y/N): B-but Lady Impa... you said some things that made it seem like you know me... do you know me...? Because I can't remember a thing about myself... who I was or where I come from... anything would help so please!

Lady Impa: You are mistaken young one, this is the first time we've met.

A warm smile then grew on her face as she looked at me with a certain unexpected kindness.

Lady Impa: All I can tell you is that what's gone is gone, all that matters is what is in your life right here and now.

It wasn't the answer that I was hoping for, but... her answer did leave a smile on my face as I nodded in agreement with her.

(Y/N): Yeah! You're right! After all I have Maron and Link in my life now. So instead of looking back to the past I should just move forward. Thank you for your words of wisdom, Lady Impa!

Lady Impa: Anytime child, now go on and get yourself a change of clothes. After all you're drenched in water.

(Y/N): Yeah there's a long story about that, but anyways thanks again! Also could I ask a favor of you, Lady Impa..?

Lady Impa: What is it?

(Y/N): If I'm going to be traveling with Link, I'm going to have to arrange something for my little sister..

Lady Impa: Little sister?

(Y/N): Yeah, her name is Maron. I can't bring her with us because of the danger we'll be up against. Could I please ask you to watch over her in my stead!

Lady Impa: I see... is that all, we'd be happy to watch over her. I'm sure Paya wouldn't mind her coming along with her on her duties.

(Y/N): Thank you!

With that I left her house, however as soon as I did Lady Impa dropped the smile that she sent me off with and gave a grave look one filled with concern.

Lady Impa: I never thought that we would meet again... I was sure that you... no nevertheless... may the day you recall your memories never occur for if they do a terrible catastrophe will occur... oh Forsaken Child.

Meanwhile, as I left the house and ran down the stairs. I saw that Paya was cleaning the frog statues. I then decided to greet her, causing her to be shocked by my sudden presence.

(Y/N): Hey Paya! What are you doing?

Paya: O-oh Master (Y/N)?! I-I was just here cleaning the guardian deities and leaving an offering to them for good luck for both yours and Master Links journey.

(Y/N): U-Um you know you don't have to add master to my name right?

Paya: O-oh but I must after all you both are risking your lives for all of us...

(Y/N): Alright... but how did you know I was going with Link?

Paya: For-forgive me.. I overheard your conversation with my grandmother.

(Y/N): She's your grandmother... this all makes sense now... and don't worry about it!

???: Mister!! Mister!!

We were both surprised by the sudden call from Koko?

Paya: Koko...? What are you doing here?

Koko: Ahh Big Sister Paya! Mister here said he would help Koko after talking with Lady Impa!

Paya: Y-you did?

(Y/N): I did! Heh, would you like to join us, Paya?

Paya: U-um.. I-I don't know...

Koko: Yeah come on Big Sister!! Join us!

Paya then gave a sweet smile to Koko as she begged for her to join us. I couldn't help but stare at Paya as she did...

She really does have a pretty cute smile huh...?

I instantly started to regret what I just thought... did I really just think that about someone I just met?! Paya then pat little Koko on the head and said that she would indeed join us.

Paya: Okay, I'll join you after I finish up my duties here. Okay~?

(Y/N): Great!!

I said snapping out of the trance that I was in and then began to head towards the inn.

(Y/N): Well meet up with you after I change!

Paya: O-okay!

With that I ran to the inn all the while I was being chased around by little Koko.

Koko: Mister, Mister! You promised Koko that you would help her!!

(Y/N): I know, I know just let me change out of my wet clothes at the inn and then my little sister and I will help you!

Koko: Yay~! Mister isn't going to break his promise!!

(Y/N): Yup I told you I wouldn't break it! Plus you and my sister could become friends?

Koko: Really?!

(Y/N): Yup her name is Maron, I can't wait for you to meet her!

Once we finally arrived at the inn, I ran in and went into the room were I saw Maron laying in bed with a tired look on her face, however her face took a bright turn as soon as she saw me.

Maron: B-Big brother you're back!! That took forever!

(Y/N): Sorry Maron!! But come on, let's go!

Maron: H-huh w-where are we going?

(Y/N): Well you said you wanted to play once I came back also, I might have found you a friend...

Maron: R-really a friend?!

(Y/N): Yeah! But first I have to help her with something...

Maron: Yay!! Thank you, Big Brother! I can't wait to meet them! Also why are your clothes wet...?

(Y/N): Don't worry about that kiddo, just go and meet her outside, her name is Koko just tell her that you're my younger sister. I'm going to change my clothes now!

Maron: O-okay Big Brother!

With that she ran outside to meet her potential new friend all the while I began to change my clothes by taking off my wet ones starting with my pants and then slowly working up until eventually I was shirtless.

(Y/N): Damn swimming was probably a bad idea... the wraps around my chest are kinda see through now... oh well might as well take them off so it can dry.. no ones around after all...

Unwrapping it slowly revealed the contents of my chest.

Koko: Hurry up, Mister!!

Maron: Come on, Big brother!!

Hearing the calls of both Maron and Koko from out side of the inn, I attempted to speed up a bit faster.

(Y/N): Okay, okay I'm almost done!!

I shouted out to them as I finished unwrapping and then proceeded to put on a pair of pants and a shirt, however not before revealing the tattoo that is on my chest.

(Y/N): Alright I'm on my way you two!

With that I carried on with my day without concern, unknown to the mayhem and chaos that would soon be found on the path that I chose to walk along side with Link.

All of it caused by me....
