Chapter 2 - The Hunt is On!
Location: The Main Lobby - Frankie's Parkour Palace
No POV
As Y/n makes his way over to the Main Lobby after passing the Practice Course that is a literal cake walk to him, the announcer soon turned on the speakers in the Main Lobby to get Y/n's attention to give him the details on where he needs to go to next to complete the game show.
Intercom: Dear lucky contestant, it seems the other contestants have mysteriously died! Not sure how that happened, but oh well, you're still here! Frankie doesn't feel like himself today, he normally doesn't go on mass murdering sprees. But don't worry about that, lucky contestant, we can still make this a fun PG-rated adventure! Maybe his best friend Henry Hotline knows what's gotten into him. You should give him a visit; his room is right upstairs! But be careful though, Henry has been going on edge due to the many calls he gets from his hotline number, so I highly suggest not to get on his bad side! Also, in case you need to continue on with your journey to complete the game, you must activate each breaker to power up the doors, fans and other things to get you moving! But once you activate one of the breakers, you have to activate the rest of the breakers before times runs out and when you run out of time, you have to do the whole thing all over again! But I think you got what it takes to make it through the entire building before you make it to the final room in order to win the game and earn your cash prize! Good luck out there, lucky contestant! You got this!
Y/n: So...I have to pull a few switches on the circuit breakers to move on to the next stage if I want to survive from that beast that is on the hunt for me. Well, I guess I got no other choice, do I? I came here for a good reason, and I want to get out of here, I have no choice, but to complete the game show with a killer animatronic rabbit on the loose if I want to survive and collect my prize money. Better get moving and start pulling switches on those circuit breakers.
With that, Y/n pulled the switch of the first circuit breaker before quickly getting the other two circuit breakers, resulting in opening the door to the storage area behind the Party Check-In counter as he went in and found a switch that raises up the gate to small kid-sized parkour course for children, which has another set of circuit breakers for Y/n to activate that didn't take too long for him to go through as he gain acess to another area to go find Henry Hotline as his next task to do that was given by the announcer that is currently watching Y/n go into the next area with the metal door shut behind him as Y/n makes his way into the next Parkour Course.
Y/n: Alright! Now we're talking! Time to take my Parkour skills to the test!
Y/n then attempted to jump to the bar to swing through, but he accidentally slipped down to the Out of Bounds Zone that triggered some sort of alarm when he stepped on the Out of Bounds Zone.
Intercom: Y/N, QUICK! RUN AND HIDE TO A SAFE HIDING SPOT!! FRANKIE HAS A SERIOUS PET PEEVE FOR CHEATERS AND IF HE FINDS YOU CHEATING YOUR WAY TO THE NEXT AREA, HE WILL RIP YOU APART! GET OUT OF THE OUT OF BOUNDS ZONE RIGHT NOW AND HIDE BEFORE HE GETS INTO THE ROOM! HURRY!
Y/n didn't think twice and immediately ran under a staircase to hide away from Frankie as a large box appeared out of nowhere and landed right onto the Out of Bounds Zone with Frankie popping his head out of the box and began standing tall and looked around the room to find Y/n as he remained still and quiet to avoid making any noise to expose his hiding spot to the murderous robot.
This has gone on for few minutes as the robot was about to give up on looking for Y/n, but he just stood there for at least another minute or two with Y/n keeping still and quiet until Frankie goes away for Y/n to find a way to get back up to the starting point without stepping into the Out of Bounds Zone to summon Frankie once again to hunt him down again.
Y/n did not dare even try to move an inch as he figured Frankie is trying to trick Y/n into giving up waiting for Frankie to go away until Frankie ducked his way under the staircase that Y/n is hiding in, causing Y/n's blood to run ice cold as he is about to die at the hands of that killer robot.
However, what Y/n didn't expect to happen was that Frankie didn't even attempt to kill Y/n as he grabbed Y/n by the back of the grey shirt and placed him back to the starting point of the course instead of killing him, which surprised Y/n as to why Frankie didn't bother killing him after he accidentally stepped into the Out of Bounds Zone as Frankie gently put down and pat him on the head before he disappeared into the box.
Y/n: (Confused) Well...that was weird, but at least I'm still alive. Back to business.
So Y/n did another attempt to go through the Parkour Course again and this time he didn't fall into the Out of Bounds Zone as he used his parkour skills to get to the second floor where it leads to the Henry Hotline Attraction known as "Connections with Henry Hotline" as this is the path that Y/n needs to head over to find Henry Hotline. But as Y/n went through the doors to not find Frankie, but a few dead bodies of other contestants that participated here at the game show are all scattered around the Henry Hotline Attraction area that all suffered the same fate as Billy Mason and the other two contestants by the hands of the killer animatronic bunny rabbit.
Then the announcer started up the speakers at the Henry Hotline Attraction to give Y/n the bad news after he made it over to the 2nd floor of the building to find out that Henry was nowhere to be found.
Intercom: I'm sorry to say this to you, Y/n, but Henry doesn't seem to be in here, and the door leading to the rest of his area is mysteriously locked! Oh no! What an unfortunate inconvenience! But we'll figure something out. I'm sure you know what to do to get to the next area on the 2nd floor from here in order to meet up with Henry! I know that you're not fond of Henry since he is your least favorite character, but you had no other choice but to go see him in the next area. Just do what you need to do and you'll get to the next part of your journey. Just be careful not to call him at this time, he's been going on a temper tantrum after receiving one too many calls. Better safe than sorry. Good luck out there, lucky contestant!
Y/n: (Sighs) This is gonna be tougher than I thought, but I can't give up now. I better get to work if I want to get out of this nightmare of a game show alive. (Sees a scary crude drawing of Henry Hotline on the wall nearby) Oh boy. That creepy crude drawing of Henry Hotline with the words, "don't call" definitely shows signs of him being serious about not taking any calls at this time. Better stay away from him at all costs in case he's in a very bad mood from the constant ringing from all of those calls he earned from his fans, which I'm probably sure that he's already having another angry outburst. I can't blame him for being a mascot with a phone for a head that rings every time he gets a call from his hotline number, but he's still my least favorite character and that's why I don't use the hotline number ever.
So Y/n began exploring through the whole attraction and began going around and pulling a few switches of the circuit breakers that opened up a small crawlspace that leads to the vents to another area. Y/n then went over to the vent and crawled inside to see where it will take him to as he spotted a toy phone that dragged away by someone that is luring Y/n to some sort of trap. Y/n made sure to be extra careful while in the vents after seeing someone dragging that toy phone with wheels inside the vents that might be either Henry Hotline or Frankie trying to lure Y/n into a trap.
But as Y/n continued crawling through the vents, he soon found a way down to another room as he dropped down to what looks like another storage area and saw the toy phone getting dragged into another small crawlspace, but it appears to small for Y/n to crawl into as it appears to not actually be a trap at all. It must've been someone or possibly Henry Hotline trying to help out Y/n get to a safe distance away from danger to get to the right path to get to the next area, despite him currently under a few headaches from all ringing coming from his phone head, he's still willing to help out any surviving contestant that is currently being hunted down by Frankie.
Y/n: Huh. I guess maybe Henry still has some good in him despite all the stress he's dealing with at this time. Well, better keep going before that killer bunny rabbit catches up to me.
Then Y/n left the storage room and found another circuit breaker and fllipped the switch before he started running through another parkour path to find the other two circuit breakers to open another air vent to crawl into.
Y/n: (Sighs) Here we go again. (Crawls into the vent)
As soon as Y/n crawls into the vent, he found a glowing red cord that leads to a vent door that can be open by a circuit breaker, which is not too far away as Y/n makes his way to a ladder to the circuit breaker to open the vent door as he began climbing up the ladder to flip the switch to activate the circuit breaker.
But then without warning, Frankie decided to show up as he popped out his head near the circuit breaker and is about to attack Y/n in the vents.
Until...
???: (Quietly) Not yet.
That actually stopped Frankie when he heard the voice speak to him as he decided to chase Y/n at another time as he went back where he came from before Y/n continued climbing back up to the circuit breaker to flip the switch.
Until...
Frankie popped up again and bit Y/n's hand, causing Y/n to scream in pain and fall off the ladder back down to the bottom of the vent that he climbed up to before grabbing his hand in pain as he looked up to Frankie that chuckled evilly before he flipped the switch on the circuit breaker for him and opened up the vent door for him to crawl into before he popped his head back where he came from again before Y/n does his best to crawl his way to the other side of the vent to get to the next area to go to.
Y/n: (Teeth Seething in Pain) Damn it! That f***ing hurt! (Groans in pain) At least he only bit my hand instead of ripping my arm out like a bloodthirsty savage beast. (Sighs) I better keep moving or he's gonna come back to take a bite out of me again.
Y/n then continued down the path through the vents to get where he needs to go to next until he finally made it to the other side of the vents, where he found himself in a completely different room with a dead end and a wall that has a picture of Frankie saying "I Love You!" with another circuit breaker to activate to keep moving. But for some strange reason, as Y/n walked his way over to the circuit breaker on the wall to flip the switch, the pain from his hand has suddenly went away, but he felt a bit of a numb and strange feeling around his hand after the monsterous Frankie bit onto it. However, his hand is still in working order as he flipped the switch on the circuit breaker and without warning...
Frankie: (Roars Demonically)
Y/n: (Screams in Terror)
Frankie showed up out of nowhere as he appeared from the other side of the wall and Y/n immediately turned around and started running as fast as his legs can carry him as he went through another Parkour course with Frankie chasing after him as he began running, jumping, sliding, swinging, ducking and activating circuit breakers at his path at a really fast pace in order to keep avoid Frankie catching up to him as his life depended on staying alive and keeping playing this game show of doom.
Y/n has never felt this scared in his entire life as he did not bother to slow down and just keep running no matter what in order to stay alive from the monsterous animatronic rabbit hunting him down like he's playing a game of cat and mouse with Frankie as the cat and Y/n as the mouse. He kept running until he arrived at another Parkour Course called "Frankie's Lumber Yard", where Y/n has to run up a hill while avoiding getting hit by thr incoming rolling logs that will knock him down or slow him down, giving Frankie the chance to catch Y/n in the act.
Unfortunately for Frankie, Y/n is just too fast and agile for him to catch the young adult, due to how smart and professional he really is in doing some parkour as Y/n managed to dodge all the logs and made it to the top of the mountain before he quickly pulled the switch on the circuit breaker that opened the metal door for Y/n to pass on through and went down into the middle pipe that will lead him to the lunch room area of Frankie's Parkour Palace, giving Y/n to finally catch a break after running a marathon of parkour and avoiding getting eaten alive by Frankie.
Hopefully, after Y/n managed to get away from Frankie that gave him the heebie-jeebies that he hadn't felt in a long time along with biting his hand when he was still in the vents, he will eventually arrive to meet Henry Hotline in another area.
However, this hellish adventure of a gameshow is just getting started and it doesn't seem like Frankie is gonna give up that easily after Y/n managed to escape from him after that long and exhausting chase scene.
Tune in next time on the next chapter of the Game Show of Doom, where Y/n will meet a loyal ally that will help guide through the building to meet Henry Hotline in person. But it doesn't seem that Henry is not going to expect a friendly welcome from the show's longest surviving contestant.
