11. All Falls Down Part 2

We were both so shocked. It hadn't even been five minutes since they entered the hotel room, how could someone be so possibly barbaric? But when it came to a man- no, a brute like Roberto, anything was feasible.

And therefore, to strengthen the plan further, I had specifically told my men to design a panic button, which was embedded in the butterfly pendant she was told to wear. The body of the butterfly had a button which when pressed, would give a signal on Luca's phone, thus alerting us immediately.

After a few short moments, we sprung into action. Luca immediately connected with Marco, who was hidden in the closet in their room, as well as the other men in the basement. Everyone was told to come to action and be more powerful and circumspect than before. Nobody, not even the worthless men of that brute must get out of this alive.

I chose absolute violence and bloodshed tonight,
And violence and bloodshed is what I will deliver.

Even though Bria wasn't a completely defenseless woman, she carried her custom-made dagger and knew some powerful moves, I couldn't trust her fully. Or even Marco. She was mine and Luca's sister - and no one will be able to take her away from us. Not again.

We both left the bar in a rush and sped towards the elevators, pushing the buttons rapidly trying to make the machine work faster, but to no avail.

Time was sprinting away from us, and we were desperate.

"Luca, I think you should climb up the stairs and go after him from here. If he senses anything after seeing Marco, and manages to escape from his clutches, I will be there to handle him in the basement with my men. Got it?"

I told him quickly, already moving over to the staircase of the building.

"Okay. But we should hurry. That bastard is so dead the moment I lay my hands on him."

Luca said to me while he started climbing the stairs up to the seventh floor.

Meanwhile I started my journey downwards. Adrenaline was rushing through my veins at the speed of lightening, blood rushing my mind, numbing it effectively while my limbs were turning hot by all the exercise. The bar was on the second floor, so it wasn't very long before I reached the basement. I tore off my blazer from my body and quickly folded my sleeves.

The war had just started.

(Bria's Pov...)

Life was never a piece of cake, never for me, one who had it all thanks to her brother.

Not for Luca, who struggled from a young age and made sure I was well fed and protected from the cruelties of this world.

And definitely not for Tiger, who undoubtedly had the hardest life of us all.

But what made life bearable was that we had each other. Even though we were all broken in some way or another, we found a way to stick to the other person and provide him comfort in difficult times. As paradoxical as it might sound, we were all so skilled at avoiding our own agony but so damn eager to ease another's affliction.

And tonight was another such night.

Tonight was a night where I had sacrificed almost everything that was mine - my brains, beauty, innocence and perhaps even my life to ease Tiger's anguish.

To put an end to all the problems in his life.

To make sure he lives happily ever after... if that is even a reality.

Hell, even if it's a dream, I want to swing my magic wand and transform it into a reality for him. That is how much I love him.

And so here I am, in this heavenly place filled with all the devils, under the death grip of this greasy old man, whose lust seems to be growing above me. Roberto Alfonsi, the start of it all.

He slithered into our lives and made us trust him, then raised his hood and bit us when we were the most vulnerable. But I had had enough. This man right here might not recognize me tonight, he might not even know who I am, but it doesn't mean he surely needs to know the cause and the person behind his death. Such monsters are meant to be swiped away without as much as a sound.

"Leave me alone,"

I tried to plead at first, while already knowing his answer. This is exactly what he had called for, and I hadn't shown any doubt in understanding him.

"Oh yeah? I wonder why, when you very clearly stated you were ready to do anything?"

He smirked from above me. His grayish hair falling in his grey eyes, giving him a somewhat handsome look, but in my eyes, he would always be a fucking monster, a brute.

I smirked slightly. All I had to do was hold him for a little longer. I had already pressed the panic button, and help was on it's way. Actually, it was right in the closet all over at the opposite side of the room.

"You think you can have your way with me? In your dreams oldie,"

I teased him, knowing very well that that would irk him a lot. The dagger that I had strapped on my thigh underneath my dress was awfully close to being discovered, and I had to do something to distract him from creeping his hands up my thigh. But I also knew he won't be able to do anything to me.

As I expected, the word 'oldie' set him off, and his ire could be seen in his otherwise gray eyes, blazing like a fire big enough to engulf me in a second.

"Puttana! Come osi? Just you wait till I blow your brains off!"

He glowered and bellowed above me, his iron grip over me still intact.

That made me laugh.

"Oh no. You thought I couldn't understand you? Or trick you? You're dead tonight baby."

I sneered at him, now calling him a baby mockingly.

He seemed to be genuinely at a loss. But that was only for a split second, before he regained composure.

Just then, the closet door was knocked down in just one mighty blow, and Marco jumped out from the ruins of the closet, effortlessly stepping over the large splinters and smaller sharper particles. Seeing him, Roberto's hand instantly went to his waistband to retrieve his gun, but to no avail.

Marco already had his gun pointed at the older man, which successfully made him freeze in place.

"Just what do you think you are doing? I won't leave you alone if you pull any such stunt!"

Roberto started reasoning with me by threatening me like that.

"Oh no, is my baby scared? As much as I know you, you were never scared of anyone, were you Salvadore?"

I taunted him, using his real name. For years, he had been using Roberto forgetting his actual name, and those times too. But it won't be so easy to forget something when three revenge-thirsty people are hot on your heels.

The mention of the name Salvadore stopped him in his tracks. He turned to look at me with wide eyes, dropping his gun. He quickly pushed me to the nearest wall with his hands closing in on my wind pipe. He was choking me even when Marco told him repeatedly to stop and let me go.

"How the hell do you know? Who are you? Tell me honestly and I will let you live, don't you dare play games with me."

He asked me menacingly in a low voice, telling me he had reached his limit.

"Y-you didn't... k-know? I-I'm your old fr- friend."

I told him with difficulty, while still keeping a smile on my face.

He wanted to say something more, to argue some more, but was interrupted by Marco,

"Roberto Alfonsi, if you don't drop your hand this second, I will shoot you!"

That made him reluctantly drop his hand from my neck, but not before slamming me on the wall, hitting my head hard.

I felt a concussion coming my way as he finally released me. I slid to the ground holding my head, not being able to focus on anything else but the blinding pain shooting through my head and getting carried away to my whole body.

But in the dark and all the chaos that happened in a matter of seconds, I definitely heard a very distinctive sound.

I heard the clear but loud sound of a gun shot ringing through the air.
