Air.
Earth.
Fire.
Water.

The four elements are older than our world itself. Our world raised from the eternal power of them, becoming the beautiful home we call ours.
We are born from this endless magic and when we die we merge into it again.
The elements found their home within us, lead our lives and fates.
In return, we learned to control them, to tame them.

The four elements are equal, none is stronger than the others. Each of us is blessed with one, we are equal in magic.
However, it is said that the ones who are strong enough to stand the reckless force that comes with it can control more than one element. Sometimes it takes a lifetime of practice.
Our history is full of great people with greater achievements. They tamed two, three or even all four of the elements. But the great old times faded away, their shine is nowhere to be found.
There are few of them and their numbers lessen each year as time passes by, because we are losing our connection to the magic within.
We don't appreciate what we got from the magic.
We are blinded by the new rules of our world.
We follow our own selfish goals to achieve what we want.
We destroy and seek power.
We murder and lie.

Nowadays, not many can remember the ancient times.
The times when our world was born, when the uncontrolled elements ran freely around every living creature.
The times when there were not four, but five elements.
And even less remembers what it truly was.
Carriers of the Fifth Element were the most powerful of all. People feared them, feared their magic.
They could never find peace in the threatening shadows looming over their heads.
Several thousand years ago the four elements combined their forces to conquer their fear.
They marched against the carriers of the Fifth Element and violently wiped them off the Earth.
They were gone long ago and since then the four lived in peace by each other's side.
The knowledge what the ancients knew was washed away by blood.
The Fifth Element faded away.

Hi! Welcome to my new story, The Fifth Element! I've been really excited about this project, but sadly for some time I won't be able to update it frequently. I still have my exams and in the meantime I'm working on the second book of Lìfa-saga too!
