Prologue

So this is my first Undertale fan fiction! Apparently I have a knack for making sad prologues, but don't worry - it gets better! Enjoy the story of Hannah Send, and this is one story that I am planning to continue. Also enjoy the songs! They'll all be Undertale themes unless I get bored of it.

Cheers erupted from the stands as Hannah sticks the landing. The judges write down their ratings for her and Hannah runs off to her parents. Her silver leotard hugs her body, allowing her to run faster. She finds her mom and jumps into her arms, her long brown hair swaying in its ponytail.

"Mama! I finally did the bars without falling off!" Hannah has only been able to perform the floor routines in her gymnastics meets because she would fall off of anything else. Yet, once her coach signed her up for the bars, she has not stopped practicing them until she performed it perfectly.

"That's our little gymnast! We are so proud." Hannah's father ruffles her hair, making Hannah groan and fix her ponytail. Hannah started gymnastics at five years old, and has learned a lot through the last three years. Now that she's turned eight, her coach has been signing her up for harder routines.

The meet ends and Hannah ends up getting second place on the bars and first on the floor. She holds her silver and gold trophies close to her chest as she hops in the car. "Daddy, can we order pizza?"

"You read my mind, pumpkin!" Her dad says as they stop at a stoplight.

"Yes! I was hoping we could." Hannah chuckles along with her parents. The light turns green and they start moving forward. Then, everything goes in slow motion.

Right when they get to the middle of the intersection, a car comes rushing at them from the right side. The rouge car rams into the side of their car head-on, making Hannah's car flip over and roll three times before finally resting on its top.

The ambulance comes and they rush the Send family off to the hospital. The adults die during the ride to the hospital, while they are able to save Hannah. They end up having to do surgery on her ribs; they are dented inward and are crushing her lungs. The surgery was a success, but her lungs are very weak now.

After a heartbreaking discussion, the nearest orphanage manager comes to take Hannah away. The little girl says goodbye to her parents for the last time and follows the orphanage manager, Bethany, to her car.

Weeks later, the man who crashed into Hannah's family's car was able to leave the hospital. He was arrested and sent to prison for drunk driving. Hannah was never more disgusted.

Hannah was given all of her parents' belongings, but some of the things would be kept from her until she was older. She was, however, given a book that told the story of the war between humans and monsters. She later pieced together that her parents fought in the war, and were on the monsters' side. She is proud of that.

Hannah lives with Bethany and all the other orphans now, thinking about her parents on occasion, and hoping that she could wake up and all of this would be some big nightmare.

Long ago two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS. One day war broke out between the two races. The Humans sealed the Monsters underground with a magic spell. The stories of Monsters has turned to legend until...
