❣Kirishimas pov❣

The morning was serene, compared to yesterdays abrupt wake. Katsuki seemed to have rolled off of me during the night. I turn to face him, only to see a smaller, less angry blond.

"Fuji?" I whisper to my self.

At the doorway I see Mina and Sero, they look as if the just came from a heavy workout. Beads of sweat dripping from their red faces.

"Hey?"

"Sorry but we couldn't keep Fuji out of here, he fought us both n' won so we just let em' come up and sleep, kids fisty" Sero breathes out, I smile.

"I understand, it's no big deal, really, I bet Katsuki doesn't mind, I mean, look at them."

The two boys were tangled together, Fuji resting on top of Katsukis chest. His hair barely touching the nose of the other.

"Okay, we just wanted to let you know," Mina says and pauses.

"Kirishima?"

"Yeah?"

"Uh...nevermind." she frowns and they both turn to leave, keeping me here with the two unconscious blonds.

While I can, I examine them both closer, it's astonishing how similar their facial features are, the only extremely noticeable outcast is how Fujis hair seems to be a bit darker than Katsukis, otherwise, you could mistake them for relatives.

Fuji yawns and opens his eyes, stretching his arms and waking up Katsukis all simultaneously.

"Morning sleeping beauty one and two!"

"Morning!" Fuji exclaims. The taller blond on the other hand, not a morning person.

"Morning Idiot." He says, sleepily playing with Fuji's hair.

"We should get started on doing what you planned yesterday, the more time we have the better right?" I asked, toying with Fuji's hair as well.

Katsukis agreed, stretched and crawled out of bed, Fuji did almost exactly the same. Stumbling after.

We all head downstairs immediately hearing small talk and loud chatter amongst the others. they were all gathering around one spot near the sofa, eating out of a bag of marshmallow cereal.

"You know we packed actual food right" I exclaim, they nod and continue eating, the three of us joining as well.

"So Katsuki's got an idea for today," I say shooting him an excited glance, he rolls his eyes but I can see the small smirk on his face.

"I was thinking we all experiment with the lurkers outside a little. So we can learn more about them and find an easier way to fu- kill them" he says, smacking a marshmallow out of Fuji's hand and giving him some of the less sweet cereal bits from inside of the bag.

"Outstanding idea Bakugou-kun! If we know more about them, we formulate a plan against the lurkers and in turn be much safer outside against them! Genius!!!" Iida stands and puffs his chest out. "We can start as soon as everyone's done, as of now, I'll make a list of plans!" He walks a few steps away picks up a pen and paper and immediately begins to write.

The group fell silent. The only prominent sound being the crunching of marshmallowy goodness. Eventually, Sero sighs.

"Can yall' believe it's only been five days?" He says, mouth full of food.

Five days.

Five days ago my life was normal. Five days ago all of my friends were alive. It all seemed surreal, how so many tears were shed in those five days. How many lives I've lost, how much blood was spilled. It seemed like ages since I've seen my mom and dad. But it's hasn't been that long. Every day has been a step closer to crumbling for me, and there no way I'm the only one feelling this, but it's only been five days but I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to make it. Another year, month, hell even week may fully consume me. Hero training be damned, I don't think I can. This life quickly became a chore. How long will it be before-

"You're keeping count?" Katsuki snorted, laying back against the wall.

"You aren't?" Kaminari rebutted.

"Why should we? Keeping track would just discourage us Kaminari."Added Jirou

"And that's the last thing we need"

Mina stays silent throughout. Her usually well-kept smile not even attempted to be held.

He sighed "Yeah but like, won't you get curious? I know I would..."

Juro noded "I would too but sooner or later it won't be as important to us, ya know, the days will just hold us back."

"I guess your right," he says looking down to the floor leaving the conversation to a much needed abrupt halt.

When we were done Tokayami put the cereal away. Katsuki picked up Fujiro and we headed outside to where Iida was eagerly seated.

Iidas facelifted and he smiled, handing Katsuki a sheet of paper, in which he read and nodded. He handed me the paper. Lazily walking back inside.

The paper was a short list of today's experiments:
•Hearing
-From how far can the hear?
-How much can they hear?
-What pitch?

•Sight
-What can they see?
-Movement in the eyes?

•Smell
-How well can they smell?

•Taste
-N/a

•Touch
-N/a

Katsuki returned with a bag full of washcloths and a small bowl of water.

"What's that for?" I ask, he hands me the bag and placed the bowl on the ground.

"To make noise n' shit. I was thinking y'all could wet these and throw them or something, I've got to go back inside and watch Fuji tho" He walks back inside and brushes past Mina, who has a tired confused expression.

"Make a noise?" Mina questioned. I hand her the list she reads it over and shakes her head.

"Why are we doing this?"

Iida perks up once again.

"Once we know the lurkers well enough well be safer when we encounter them, it's best to know your enemy!"

"I know that." She replies "Why can't we just ya know, stay away from them?"

Iidas face falls slightly."Mina, you know that one day we might need to to know this information right? Maybe we'll be stuck and-"

"So it's gonna happen to is too? isn't it?" she asks shutting the door behind her.

I attempted to calm her down "Mina what are you-"

"We're all gonna die, aren't we?" She breathes out, her eyes quickly swelling and overfilling with tears. She's clenching her fist, unknowingly crumbling the paper.

Katsuki had already gone inside with Fuji, so nothing really has to be censore, but now I have no idea how to calm her down.

"M...mina what I think he means is-"

"Kirishima are we preparing to die?!" she turns to me. Tears streaming down her face her voice slightly raised.

They can hear us.

"Are we?!" she wales.

"Mina! Quiet down...I--I don't think this is the best place to..."

"Just answer me!"

The villainous creatures that we have feared for so long made a beeline for us. They were becoming easier to see, and smell.

"Mina, move seriously," I shouted, but she challenged me with her boisterous voice, screaming at the top of her lungs.

"Tell me! What's the point? Why run when we could just end it now?! This could be The End. "

she stood in front of the door her eyes blank, her face deadpanned. I took a small step forward, my hands in the air. She shot me with acid, screaming louder.

"Mina?!" yelled Sero. She remained in place standing there, shaking. Possibly not using her quirk on purpose. She screeched. Where's Katsuki? Fujiro? The lurkers are getting closer, and there's no way I'll be able to move her.

Bang

"Gunshots?"

Gunshots.

I Flip my head around to see the lurkers falling one by one, Blood spaying everywhere. It took only that for the front door to fly open, forcefully shoving Mina to the side. Katsuki's standing there. He had been resisting the temptation to use is quirk for the past couple of days due to the noise, I guess he snapped...

Explosions one after another. Firing into the oncoming crowd of them. The gunshots got louder, closer. I was blind-sighted, it happened so fast I couldn't react. Before I knew it, Katsuki was surrounded and Fuji was outside as well.

"Mommy!!" he screeched sprinting towards The dangerous crowd. somehow, This situation all too familiar.

I ran after him, catching up quickly.

"Take him back! I'll be fine!" Katsuki yelled, to which I complied, I don't doubt his ability to protect himself.

He struggled, punched, screeched ordering me to put him down. I continued to run. I can't look back. He bit me, cried and kicked. I kept running, I couldn't look back. With every step, I regret my decision. The sound of Katsukis explosions rang in my ear, constantly feeding me closure.

Until they stopped.

It's as if the entire world went quiet. My heart skipped and my brain scattered. I got Fujiro to safety, allowing Sero, Kaminari, and Tokayami to detain him. Without hesitation, I turned back. Despite the others telling me not to. Outside Looks like a crime scene. Blood and decaying body parts everywhere. I scouted for any sign of the alive blond. Nothing. Just noise I didn't want to hear. Thousands of possibilities popped into my head at once. Anything to distract me from the possibility that he's gone forever. anything.

Boom

The short rather small sound gave me a large amount of Hope. I move faster dodging the hideous monsters one after another waiting for another sign.

I raised my head to finally see the visibly shaken blonde looking down at me from atop a nearby building, haste in his eyes. He's with two other unfamiliar faces one of which has a tiny pistol in her hand, the other who uses of which I can only assume to be a grappling hook to take me and quickly repelled me towards them, soon enough I was again, right by The blonds side.

"Katsuki!"

He shushed me with a kiss and a tight hug. He looked at me and put his finger up to his mouth, making a "shushing" sound. I nod and quiet down, just as I did, one of the two unfamiliar people whipped out a device. It was a small, black and blue box. She pressed the luminescent green button on the top and threw it into the crowd. like a switch, the box opened, sending a shock of electricity throughout. much like Kaminari would.

The lurkers stuttered and fell with a thud. I look to the left of me to see the two girls who look exactly the same, twins?

"Come, quickly, they're only stunned." One said.

The two jump off the ridiculously tall building and land successfully. Simultaneously, they reach their arms out so they could catch us, but to their obvious surprise, I grab Kat and hold him tight, Hardening the back of my body and falling down.

Together, we sprint back inside, barricading the door behind us. Here, I was able to see the other two better. They were twins. they both had extremely dark hair, only one had hers cut short and the others flowed in a long ponytail. Their pasty white skin mix well with their hazelnut Brown eyes. They seem to both be well in their twenties.

Although we were inside, Katsuki was still on high alert, intill Fujiro ran up to him, hugging his leg. He didn't say anything. he just clung to him, Kat tried to pick him up, but he wouldn't let go. Once he prided him off and held him, he finally cried in the hood of his jacket.

The silence was haunting. The sound Fuji's muffed sobs proving to be overbearing. Nothing said. Mina was nowhere to be seen.

"What's his name?" One of the twins asks walking uncomfortably close to the two.

"Yours first" Kat asserted. Demanding in his tone.

"Hey, don't be hostile, we saved your lives" The other studied irritably.

Katsuki's face heated, you could tell he was holding himself back in front of Fujio. I was going to jump in, but he began to speak.

"No, you thought  I needed your help, which I didn't. Fuc-... Forget you, I asked you what your names were and you're going to tell me or leave."

"Geez kid, here, the name's Aika, this here's my sister Kirika. I bet you could guess by now, but we're twins. Our qurik is elasticity, that's how we jumped off of the building and got the redhead on-top of the building. Now your turn!"

"I don't have to tell you sh-"

"Common babe."

"Ew"

"I'm Kirishima! This is Sero, Kaminari, and Tokayami! These two are Fujiro and Bakugou. Nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you too; are you two like, together?" Aika asks.

"Yeah! Gotta fuckin...freaking problem?" Katsuki argues.

"No that's perfect actually!" She responds.

"Huh?" Kat and I say.

"Nothing important, anyway, where are the adults?"

"Got none," Sero replied, head hung low.

The ladies beemed and nod to each other.

"That's too bad! We've got a whole base full of people. Plenty of food and water and-"

"What makes you think we trust you?? Heck off." Bakugou exclaims.

"Bakugou- kun!" Iida yelled while running down the steps with vigor.

"We'd love to go with you! Please excuse him. He's doesn't really like people."

"I like people!"

Katsuki sits Fujiro down and begins to look for some new clothes for him to put on. Though the child never actually let go of the bottom of his pants, he walked alongside him.

Aika again walked closer to the two and knelt down to Fujiro's level, grabbing his hand. Surprised, Fujiro began to cry.

Immediately, Katsuki lifted him.

"What the fuck is your problem?!" Katsuki asserted.

"Kids strong. I saw what he did for you out there. All he needs is some confidence and independence. Have you tried to train him?"

"Train him? He not a dog, and he's fucking four."

"Better to start them early"

"What the actual fuc-"

"Anywayyyy" Kirika interrupts "We should get going soon."

Iida turns to me. "Mina, Kaminari, Tokayami and I will be staying here so we can work things out a bit, I was thinking you Bakugou and Jurio could go."

"What about Fuji," I ask.

"I believe that's up to you and Bakugou to decide. If you see fit for us to live there, come back. By then we'll be packed and ready to leave. If you're not back in two days, we'll come and look for you. Does that sound fine? "

"yeah, that's cool. I doubt Fuji will actually leave Kat's side so just count on him coming."

He nods and heads back upstairs. Not too long after, Jurio walks down, prepared to leave. I looked back at Katsuki who's talking to Fuji to which he was dramatically shaking his head in response.

"Fuji you've got to stay okay?" The blond says.

He shakes his head while Kat tries to set him down. Once he finally shook him off, he ran to me and clung on tight.

"Let him come, I bet he could be an asset to our army," Akia responds.

"Army? What the hell are you talking about?" Kat fought.

"As I said, he's a fighter. We could use that ." She continues.

"You're not using shit, I'm not going." He crossed his arms and stood in front of Fuji and I.

" I really  don't like them." He whispers turning to me. His red eyes burning into my own.

I kiss his check and tense shoulders immediately drop.

"Common Kat let's just give it a try. We could be much safer. He could be much safer" I point to Fuji who's hugging my leg tightly.

He rolls his eyes and sighs, looks at Fuji and rolls his eyes again.

"Fine whatever."

Akia and Kirika perk up, both smiling from ear to ear.

"But don't expect us to separate at all," I suggest.

"They nod and smile, Akia grabbing another small square contraption out of her pocket, identical to the one they used before.

"Are y' all ready?"

I smile and nod. Stepping in front of Fujiro who's now half asleep in Katsukis arms.

Aika forced open the door shutting it immediately after she threw the contraption. Once it went off, we sprinted outside. Following the girls lead.

The walk was a brief one, the morning broken into noon. It's wasn't hard to tell when we were close, when a bright light shown in our eyes and we saw the structure of a large fence with barbed wire barricaded around a tall building.

"It's only been a few days, when'd y' all have the time to make this?" Jurio questions.

"It's just a building that we repurposed and a few days? It's been about a month. I'm assuming you're not around here, huh?" Kirika asks.

"Well yeah, but what significance does that have?" I asked.

"The virus or fucking- fricking whatever caused this probably took longer to reach us," Katsuki responds.

"Yep! So where you guys from?" Akia asks.

"We went to UA high," Jurio responds.

"I thought you all looked familiar! The cultural festival! It all makes sense now! I was confused as to how a couple of kids could survive this long and look as healthy as you do. It makes a bit more sense I guess, you guys are strong we can totally use you, to train our next generation!"

"Stop fucking saying that. It's weird."

"Katsuki come on,"

I pointed at Fujiro who was fully asleep in his arms. He sighed deeply.

"I have a bad feeling about this." He loudly announces, kicking a stone from in front of us angrily.

"Just go with it for a little okay? We'll be able to leave if we feel that need too. Right?"

He shrugs, hands Fuji to me and stretches his arms. Fuji wakes up in a small panic, took a look up at me and immediately fell back asleep.

About a minute later we fully reach the entrance of the large building. I set Fuji down, he holds the taller blonds hand as we walk inside.

this place is big, like huge, bright lights over illuminating the space. It's evident it would take a lot to even put a dent in destroying the place. The first thing I noticed was there were, many, many people but they were all females.

"Come on, we'll show you around."

First, they showed us the cafeteria. The food was warm and "Yummy." According to Fujiro.

Hours pass by the time we finish the tour, ending at what Kirika called the"sleeping quarters."

The room was small. Inside where two twin size beds uncomfortably close to each other. they're only a couple of inches away from blocking the entrance thus, we all couldn't fit inside.

"Not to be rude, but why are we sleeping in here? There are better places." Jurio suggests, stepping inside the closet like room.

"Now."

Cries.

Screams.

My neck snaps back to Katsuki, Fuji is no longer holding his hand. Instead, he's being held down by a man who's easily taller than 6ft. Muscles well defiend through his shirt. His hands over his mouth as Fuji kicks in spasms through his muffled cries.

"Hey!" Jurio shouts right before she's pushed and locked inside the small room.

I snap into action. The sounds of Kat's explosions defining my ears.

But not for long.

He's put into a choke-hold by a man, hands held tightly by another, his fingers and face quickly turning purple.

"F-fuck about me! Get Fujiro!"

Turning around I make a beeline for the smaller blond but am stopped by a wall, no a man. He grabs me by my neck and lifts me effortlessly. I activate my quirk as he slams me back first against the wall, again and again. holding me down. Time goes by as my quirk begins to deteriorate. I claw, Bite kick and scream. Useless. I'm useless. Before I knew it. The world went dark.

"Yep. These two will do, perfect. Put them in the room. Prepare the kid. Quickly."
