Parents come and go I guess. [4]

(I apologize for this chaper in advance)
❣Kirishimas Pov❣

I awoke to an extreme weight on my chest and faint laughs in front of me. Opening my eyes, I see Mina, who's whispering something into Sero's ear, and Kaminari who's holding his mouth shut with both of his hands, giggling softly.

"Mornin' guys." I smile and attempt to stretch, only to feel my hands are being smothered, therefore restricting movement.

"Kirishima! What happened last night?" Mina asked suggestively, wiggling her eyebrows and gesturing to the weight on my lap. Looking down I see a blond puff of hair, that  if it were only a little closer, would definitely be suffocating me. I pat the blond and allow a blush to cover my face as I observed and listened to his slow and even breaths. He's really cute. I allow myself to sink into the atmosphere between him and I before he wakes up. Yesterday was a wild ride between us, and honestly, I hope today's no different.

"Look he's blushing oh my god!" Mina practically squeals enthusiastically. "It's happing AHHH!"

"Shhhh! He's sleeping, Mina! I'd shut up cause' when he wakes up he's probably not gonna be the happiest!" I whisper-yell.

She covered her mouth and skipped out of the room, Sero tagging along.

Though Kaminari stood there, still giggling softly. "Okay, this is hilarious in all but don't forget we're really busy today... I know ya' wanna stay inside and cuddle with your boyfriend all day, but we've got places to go."

Before I could rebuttal, or even yell at him to leave, he dashed out of the room. Slamming the door behind him, making it obvious to the others he said some mischievous things before he left.

I sighed because he was right. We have loads of shit to do, but I really want to stay here and stare at Bakugou all day. Placing my hand on his stomach, I shifted him slightly. Causing him to awaken to the sudden hash movement."Hey dude, it's time to wake up, we have an eventful day planned."

"Shut up."

I Continue to shake him until he's practically hurling curse words at me. most would find this aggravating, but holy shit was his morning face unexpectedly adorable to me.

"Seriously fuck off!"

I continue to shake him.

"You old hag I said fuck off!"

"Old...hag?"

He glared up at me with a questioning gaze and then looked down on himself on my lap. He attempted to jump off of me but instead squinted in pain.

"dude your sides."

"I know dumbass."

"Do you want me to..."

"Shut up."

I go to pick him up again. Quickly changing his bandages and carrying him into the living room where everyone else stood, still no signs of my parents.

I sit him down on top of me, which he blatantly showed his resentment towards. I held both of his hands into one of mine, silencing the large amounts of explosions that seemed to come out of his palms impulsively. His Face became unmistakably red, possibly due to all of his previous flustered squirming. Cute.

Mina's and Kaminari suggestive smerks seemed to go unnoticed by Bakugou, but not me. I attempt my best Bakugou-like scowl to get them to back off, they just laugh harder.

"Cute" One amongst the six whispers. I shush them, attempting to dodge any conflict that could stir up.

"k', what the fuck actually is our plan anyway?" Asserted Bakugou, though no one could really take him seriously while he sat on my lap.

"That's what we are here to talk about" Iida responded confidently " I assume all of us would like to know what's going on, but not before finding our family correct?"

The group nodded in unison.

"Okay here's our plan" I added "We know we shouldn't split up after what happened yesterday, so I figured we would all walk to our houses together, one by one. I'll leave a note for my parents here at home and we'll stop back at my house whenever we feel the need to. Does that sound good?"

Nods and agreeing grunts fill the room again.

"What were those damn things yesterday anyway?" Kaminari spoke.

"I know. They kinda seemed like zombies."

"Shut up that sounds really fucking stupid!" Bakugou argued, still sitting, or rather, pouting on my lap.

"Then what else are we spost' to call em'? They looked like zombies to me." Replied Sero.

"Shut up and let me think!" Bakugou's face became softer as he lost himself in his thoughts. I watched as his eyebrows scrunched and he bit the top of his lip. I felt myself become more and more flustered at the sight and allowed my face to highlight red.

"What about biters??!" Mina shouted causing Bakugou to snap out of his thoughts.

"No, that's fuckin' stupid." He angrily replied.

"Dawww Bakugou don't be that way!" She shouted.

"What about Lurkers?" The room fell silent when we realized that Tokoyami had finally said something. He's become more secluded than usual after we left the school yesterday, so hearing him speaking up gave us a little intel on how Tokoyami's feeling. We felt comfort in his words.

"I like it" Bakugou replied determinedly as if he became the unspoken judge of this operation.

"I guess that's it then huh?" Kaminari asked. "Now we should leave before it gets dark."

"Yep" I agreed on everyone else's behalf, which Bakugou seemed slightly angry towards.

Talking among ourselves we decided to begin with Bakugou's family, seeing as his house was within the closest proximity to mine, and so we could get his house done and bring him back to let his body rest, we would then continue from there.

Before I left I wrote a note to my parents, hoping that they would be home soon.

Mom and dad, assuming the both of you know what happened at my school yesterday, don't worry, I'm fine! I'm sorry for not calling you when I had the chance I can't find my phone. I'll be back home soon and I'll explain where I've been. I love you.

-your only child, Eijro.

We prepared to leave, bringing things along that could serve as protection since we aren't 100% sure of what the condition is outside.

Despite arguments and extreme temper tantrums Bakugou gave in and allowed me to carry him at least three fourth's of the way to his house. Once, he even tried to convince me that his sides didn't hurt anymore, just as he winced while attempting to stand up.

The palm of Sero's hand engulfed the doorknob as he turned and pushed through it.

The sky was a baby blue color and the air obtained a steady hint of the new smell that we caught on to yesterday.

The Lurkers

Although I held Bakugou in my arms we weren't completely vulnerable, seeing as the other six were by our sides.

Figuring it better to steer clear of the monsters me maneuvered through them quietly, trying not to allow the sight of such horrible creatures to uncover the solemn memories that were yesterdays.

The streets were quiet, save for a few gurgles from the monsters and mews of blond cats, it was then when I became more aware of our reality, This is the end, and our friends aren't coming back. Honestly, it hurt like a bitch to think about. It's only been a day...maybe That's what makes this all such a grueling experience. Cause' one day your friends are here, making fun of the grade you got on your math test, then the next, they're dead.

It hurts

I resist the urge to cry. Which wasn't much of a task in itself cause' tears don't really seem to come to my rescue anymore, as if I've fully run out of them. I focus on the task at hand and continue to walk in the direction of Bakugou's house.

We arrive at the point where Bakugou's house is within our field of vision, at which Bakugou had demanded that I put him down. That didn't seem fun at all, so I tightened what little grip I did have on the boy's body and let him whine about it till' we reached his front door. I then sat him down, in fear of freaking out his parents by returning their only child to them injured.

The house was quiet.

Bakugou limped towards the steps and up them. We assumed he was walking to his room, so we followed suite meekly. His steps were rather soft, Bakugou hadn't called out to anyone but he kept his eyes peeled, looking for signs that his parents were okay.

Towards the top of the stairs, a familiar smell captured our noses, but this was slightly different, the smell seemed healthier, cleaner.

Despite this Bakugou continued to limp forward. Passing by the room door that said "lord explosion murder" on it.

"Dude, that was your room," I stated. I've been to Bakugou's house plenty of times, so I knew where the majority of things were, including his room.

"Yeah dumbass, excellent observing. My parent's room is over there." He pointed to the shut door at the end of the hallway and made a beeline for it.

The smell became harsh as we closed in on the room. The sent of a rotting corpse, the smell we were all far too familiar to. The aroma was almost identical but it seemed to be considerably more natural than the smell the lurkers gave off. Which was a troublesome thought within itself.

The creak of the door seemed like the only sound filling the void of emptiness that was Bakugou's hallway.

In the center of the room was a bed, alongside that was a plethora of guns scattered about, as if someone were narrowing their choices.

The body of Mrs. Bakugou was located at the end of the bed. A bullet hole from the bottom of her chin connected to the top of her head. The beige walls were stained pink and red due to the blood that covered the vicinity. One of her eyes were rolled at the back of her head lifelessly, the other seemingly blown off by the impact of the bullet.

Bakugou walked slowly, still wincing at the pain in his sides.

It looked like he was going to cry, or scream. His widened eyes made their way to a note on the floor, with his name written on it. He stared into my eyes as he picked up the rather bloody envelope, never turning his back on his mother's corpse.

He tore open the note and pulled out a wrinkled loose leaf piece of paper covered in nice handwriting in bold black ink.

Taking his hand I lead him out of the room, allowing Tokoyami to shut the door behind us.

He was quiet. Sighing he let go of the note, allowing it to drop to his feet.

I stood behind him, observing as he staggered into his room, I immediately picked up the note and stuffed it into my pocket.

Not a word flew from our mouths as we followed him. Mina was sniffling behind me, struggling to hold her feelings in. Bakugou grabbed some of his clothes and stuffed them into an empty duffle bag along with a first aid kit, a book, and a toothbrush.

He slowly lifted the duffle bag and hissed as it hit directly into his side. Sero took the bag from him as started leaving the room. I picked the blond up and began to leave as well. Still, no words were uttered between us.

I felt pain for the blond as I held him tighter, wishing my damndest I could ease the pain.

His face resembled Midoriya's, right before he ended his life. He's visibly hurting. Physically and mentally. crying on the inside, numb on the out. I felt a ping of guilt for being so useless, there's not a damn thing I can do to help. I held him tighter. This time he didn't protest.
