Chapter four - Questions And Answers

Storm's POV:
I looked over at Jack to see him glaring at Ethan. I shrugged it off and continued to talk with Ethan and Aurora. "So how did you two meet?" I asked the two. Ethan chuckled and Aurora hit him playfully. "Well, it's actually a really funny story... You se--" Aurora pouted. "Me falling face first into you is NOT funny Ethan!" He chuckled and I giggled. "It was really funny Roar." He turned to me. "As I was saying... It was a couple years ago. I was walking around in the sunlight when I saw a girl falling right for me. I reacted too late and she head butted me. I fell on the ground with her on top of me. And since then, we've stuck together. Right Roar?" She nodded and I giggled. "Awesome story guys." They smiled and I smiled back. I looked up at the sun. "Oh crap! I need to get food ready!" I half yelled as I jumped up and grabbed my pointy stick. Running frantically around looking for food to cook. Near camp, but far enough no one notices me running around like a crazy person. I heard a twig snap and I threw the stick at the sound. I looked over where the stock was to see Jack standing up right, his eyes wide. I giggled a little. "Sorry Jack!" He blinked a couple times before walking over to me. "It's fine Storm." I nodded and giggled more. "Hey, what are you giggling about Storm?" I giggled even more. "Nothing." I said. He raised an eyebrow. "It doesn't seem like nothing." I shrugged. "It's just the fact that you recovered from me throwing a sharp stick at you in a matter if seconds." He shrugged and smiled. "It's what I do best." I smirked. "You mean besides staying away from everyone?" He frowned and I smiled more. "What do you mean Stormy? I don't avoid people." I chuckled. Suuuuuuure..... Because staying away from everyone while we are talking is not avoiding people.... Toooooooooootaly." He shook his head and sighed as I laughed. He laughed quietly as well. "True... But we did just meet them." I nodded. "True. But they don't seem like they will try and kill us in the night now do they Jack?" He shrugged. "You never know Stormy." I smiled. "Whatever." I picked my stick back up and picked up some berries near by. "These will have to do for now..." I mumbled to myself. "Ok Jack. Let's head back to camp before they become too worried about us." Jack nodded and we walked back to camp.

"Heeeeeeeeeeeey! You guys are back!" Aurora said happily as she ran towards us. Jack avoided her and sat by a tree. I rolled my eyes at him and smiled at the gold haired girl I front of me. "Yeah. We didn't find meat, but we found berries. Here." I gave her a handful of berries. She thanked me and walked back to Ethan. I followed her and gave Ethan some berries as well before walking over to Jack. He spotted me and his eyes immediately showed happiness. I gave him a handful of berries and started eating the last couple berries myself. Jack looked at me, silently opened my hand and dropped some of his berries into my hand. I shook my head and tried to give them back but he refused. "You didn't eat this morning Stormy. You need to eat now." I sighed and ate the berries he gave me hungrily. Jack nodded in satisfaction and ate his berries. "Happy now?" I asked and pouted playfully. He nodded. "Yeah. That's better Stormy... Tonight can be my watch. Ok? I'll wake Ethan up when it's his turn." I nodded sleepily. "Ok Jack." I mumbled as I leaned agented the tree and fell asleep.

Jack's POV:
I watched Storm fall asleep before I got up from beside her and walked over to Ethan and Aurora. They looked up at me and smiled. "Hey Jack. What's up?" I shrugged. "Ethan, I'll wake you up when it's your time for watch. Ok?" He nodded. "Sure thing Jack. See you then." He turned to Aurora. "Ok Roar, time to sleep." She nodded and they both lied down on the ground by the fire. I sighed and tended to the fire. Keeping one eye on everyone and another in the surroundings.

After a couple hours of keeping watch I looked over at Storm. She lost balance on the tree and was now lying on the ground, tossing and turning. She shook her head and squeezed her eyes shut. I quietly walked over to her. I hope she is ok...

Storm's POV:
I had a different dream than last time. I found myself looking around with tears in my eyes. Around me were flames. Blue, purple, red and orange. In the flames were screams. Screams of my friends. But not screams of pain... Screams of betrayal and loneliness... Some voices were crying and others were asking why... I silently cried and buried my head in my knees and arms. Plugging my ears and shaking my head. I squeezed my eyes shut. Not true... I didn't betray my friends.... I didn't make them cry... Did I?

I sat straight up and looked around wildly to see Jack looking at me worriedly. "You ok Stormy?" I nodded and rested my back on the tree again. He nodded. "I'll be right back. It's Ethan's shift." I nodded again and he walked over to Ethan. Shaking him awake. Ethan sat up quietly and yawned sleepily before tending to the fire. Jack walked back over to me and sat down. He smiled reassuringly. "I'll be right here for the rest of the night Stormy. I'll protect you. Don't worry." He whispered. I nodded sleepily and closed my eyes. I felt my head tilt and land on something warm. I look a deep breath in and smiled. Smells like roasted marshmallows... And with that thought in my mind, I fell asleep.
