Chapter 37- The Final Step For Defeat

"(Y/N) you say? I'm not sure about meeting your imaginary friend," Azula raised an eyebrow as Zuko huffed and stomped his foot.
"She's not imaginary!" He defended himself.
"Sure," Azula smirked as Zuko grumbled.

"I'm trusting you to not tell father or mother, because it's important to me," He said as he pushed some bushes away to a open area.
"Okay (Y/N), come out now!" Zuko smiled, and knocked on the ground.

There was silence after a few seconds, and Azula rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
"Nice non-imaginary friend Zuzu," She teased, which made Zuko scowl, until the ground opened up. Azula took a step back as Zuko laughed, with you spreading your arms out and a big smile.

Azula watched in awe as she saw you made eye contact with her, and you bowed dramatically.

"Tada! I'm also your friend now!"

You felt something on you, and on your face. Groaning slightly, you slowly opened your eyes to see the brown of of Azula. She was slowly kissing you, straggling your waist as she softly touched your cheeks.

"Hello my love," She purred, making you stiff up a little.
"A-Azula... nice to see you again," You whispered, a little shaken at the fact she was this close to you.
"After all these years, I finally have you again," Azula smirked and got up from your lap, making you let out you breathe without realizing that you were holding it in.

"Before we do anything further, I need sword for the Dai Li," She said, and you fully noticed your surroundings. You were in a chamber, with the Dai Li in lines and Mai and Ty Lee standing in place in Kyoshi Warriors.

You also noticed that your hands to bound in cuffs, and you felt extremely woozy.
"The Earth King and the Council of Five do not trust the Dai Li. They imprisoned your leader, Long Feng. Soon they will turn on all of you and eliminate you. Seizing power today is a matter of life and death," Azula explained to the Dai Li.

"This coup must be swift and decisive. The Earth King and each of the five generals must be taken out simultaneously. Long Feng has placed you in my command while we overthrow the government," You heard her say as you made eye contact with Ty Lee, who smiled brightly and waved at you, making you blush and look away.

"If I sense any disloyalty, any hesitation, any weakness at all, I will snuff it out," You shivered at the princess's words, and felt your body hun from numbness.
"That is all," And with that, the Dai Li left. You chuckled your wrists around, trying to see if your cuffs would fall off.

"Nice speech, Azula. It was pretty and poetic, but also scary in a good way," Ty Lee smiled and poured some tea.
"Yeah. I thought you were going to make that one guy pee his pants," Mai said, a little amused.
"There are still a few loose ends. The Avatar, and my brother and uncle," Azula sighed, and turned to you, which made you freeze.

"Take our lovely (Y/N) back to a more comfortable place than here. She deserves the nicest necessities before the wedding," Azula cooed and gave you one more kiss, before leaving.
"Oh (Y/N), how much we missed you!" Ty Lee squealed and hugged you tightly, making you blush and stammer as she kissed you.

"You're the only bearable thing that happened in this journey, so... cute," Mai mumbled, giving a small smirk and picked you up by your waist. You squealed as she threw you over her shoulder.
"Are you excited for us to be back together (Y/N)? Because after this," Mai walked with Ty Lee down the halls of the chamber.

"You'll be part of the Fire Nation as a wife,"

Opening the door to the house, Toph, Sokka, and Aang walked inside to look around.
"Momo!" Aang smiled as Momo jumped on his shoulder.
"There's no one else here," Toph said as she senses for anyone.
"They are in trouble! I knew it!" Aang said as Sokka cursed at himself for not taking. This more seriously for you and his sister.

"Oh, no," Just then, Toph lifted her head up.
"Wait! Someone's at the door," The door was knocked on and Toph smiled.
"Actually, I know who it is. It's an old friend of mine. Glad to see you're okay," Toph opened the door to reveal your mother and Iroh standing there, with Twig running in and hopping on Aang's shoulder.

"We need your help,"

You laid against the bed, laying in a very fancy room, but it wasn't your taste at all.
"I never really thought I would see Azula again, yet, she always did had a weird obsession with me," You said to yourself.
"I hope Twig is okay, he ran with Momo so he's safe... I know he is," You sighed and pressed your head against the pillow.

"Azula hasn't changed at all, still the one who's in charge," You huffed, a small smile on your face as a blush crawled up to your ears.
"Maybe... I should agree to be with them- No!!" You quickly sat up and banged your head against the wall.
"What are you saying (Y/N)? I need to find Katara and the Gaang!" You shook your head and got off the bed.

Legs bound too, you crawled over to the door and used your head to try and open the door, but it was not budging.
"Great," You sighed and scooted yourself to the window, which was also sealed shut. Blowing a raspberry, you rubbed your wrists and ankles against the cuffs, trying to see if it's possible to be free.

"I may not be able to bend metal, but I do how to escape cuffs," You grinned as you took a deep breath, before laid on your back with the cuffs pressing onto the ground.
"Be careful or else you'll be cooked chicken rooster," You mumbled as you felt the ground heat up from your bending of lava, and you hissed at the pain on your hands and legs.

"Come on," You groaned, until the snap of the cuffs made you sit up instantly and get up. The cuffs melt into the lava, and you closed your fists to ease the pain.

"Not the first time, or the last time I hurt myself on purpose," You mumbled, and looked outside to see if there was any sign for help.
"The Dai Li are out spying on the palace, I just need to find the underground catacombs that Azula mentioned before," You said and felt the ground, trying to sense for anything.

"There it is," You said as you felt movement underneath. You bended the ground to reveal a makeshift staircase.
"Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee might've been my "girlfriends" back then, but I have people who truly care," You said and you jumped down, running and making through the tunnel.

"Ones who I truly care and will protect like my father did with me," You said and grabbed a rock, tuning it into lava to defend yourself with.

"I failed to save my family, I'm not going to fail my new family,"

"I thought you had changed!" Katara yelled at Zuko as she held on water whips, Zuko with Fire whips.
"I have changed," He snarled, throwing a whip at her, but then a rock wall formed in front of Katara, blocking the fire.

"I noticed that after years apart," You shouted and landed on from the tunnel you made.
"(Y/N)!!" Aang and Katara yelled with relief that you're okay.
"I expect better from you love," Azula tsked as flames sparked from her hand.

"After this fight, a punishment is in order!" She smirked as she threw a fireball at Aang. You ran and covered for Katara, rumbling the ground and using the rock wall to knock Zuko down.
"When I saw you in that tea shop, I really thought you have changed for the better, but I was wrong," You scowled as Zuko sent a wave of fire at you and Katara.

"This honor is nothing but a ploy that your father told you about so you would do anything for him!" Zuko scowled and keeps shooting fireballs.
"You just don't know what this means to me!! All of my talks about honor, it's important!! But you just don't listen to anyone!!" He shouted as Katara sends a water whip his way.

"You think I'm not listening too?! You think I don't know how it feels about being banished?!" You shouted at Zuko, blood boiling as you raised your arms up.
"No, you don't know how it feels!! One thing that stands out!!" Zuko shouted with venom in his voice, but guilt ridden in his eyes.
"And what is that, huh?! Tell me!!" You demanded, and he gave you a very deep death glare.

"Is that your father is dead because of your ignorance!! You have no one else!!"

Eyes widened, you stared at him with a hurt look, and he instantly regretted what he said, but he shook it away and glared at you. You quickly scowled at ran to attack him. Azula quickly intercepted and shot flames your way.
"Watch out!!" Katara shouted and pushed you out of the way, causing her to get hit and get thrown onto a crystal.

"No!" You yelled as Aang came back from the crater he made and charged with you, but then the Dai Li stopped him and surrounded everyone.
"Aang!!" You shouted as one was about to attack, but you used your lava to to stop him.

"Get up Katara!" You pulled Katara up as she brought water to attack. Mimicking Katara's water whips, you made a lava whip too and you both started to fight each agents that came close.
"Look!" Katara said as Aang covered himself with crystals.

Just then, Aang suddenly glowed and broke the crystal around him, a beam of light hitting up to the cave top. Eyes glowing white, Aang entered his Avatar State, floating up to defend the city.

You and Katara smiled, seeing him entering the Avatar State once again, this time with control and free will and-

ZZZPPPT

Aang's eyes widen as he was shocked with lightning caused by Azula, who smirked darkly with her fingertips smoking slightly. You froze, lava dripping onto the ground as Katara gasped.

'No... I promised...'

Tears falling down your face, you couldn't hear anything, the sounds around you were fuzzy, and felt your hands burn. Your vision was unstable as Katara ran with a giant wave of water to get to Aang. You couldn't hear her name call out for you because of your blood boiling.

'...I promised...'

The ground started to shake, and cracks formed for lava to deep out, and rocks lifted up into the air. The Dai Li, Katara, Azula, and Zuko watched in shock as you lifted your head to to show the death glare, hatred and anger in your eyes.

'I failed...'

The rocks formed around your body, encasing to make amor, and lava forming around you too, as your arm had lava formed around it. Though it did not burn you, everything around would.

'I failed you... I'm sorry dad...'

'No...'

'Not yet,'

'I haven't failed yet,'

'Not this time!!'

Lava consumed your body, and it grew and grew from the cracks underneath the earth. Katara's eyes widen as she watched you become into something she will never see in future years.

A lava monster.

"Lavabending is one of the most rare sub elements a Bender could master, it is as dangerous as it it powerful. that allows the user to manipulate molten earth. This rare ability allows the bender to phase-change earth into lava, lava into earth, and otherwise manipulate existing lava with great dexterity,"

"The first known user to use Lavabending was Avatar Szeto, a Earthbender who was able o control four volcanoes. Not much is known for this unique element, however, one move mastered by the Avatar is a true beauty and yet lethal to not only the ones around, but the user,"

"First move is to acknowledge the anger and fear you have inside you, using it while harnessing the energy to forgive and accept. While using these inner emotions, it's dangerous to deadly to use for emotions can be strong, and can cause the user to think irrationally,"

"The outcome is the user,"

"Becoming a monster inside and out,"

Though you were a lava monster on the outside, inside was you encased in rocks, tearing running down as anger filled your body, and you sent a molten giant arm down at the Dai Li.

"RRRROOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRR!!"

Finally grown to hit the ceiling, you roared harshly and pushed the cave ceiling and rocks started to fall down.
"GEEEEETT OOOOUUUTTTTT!!" You screamed as you sent another lava arm down on the ground.

Katara snapped out of her shock as the Dai Li, Azula, and Zuko retreated back, and she tried to get close to you, but you turned and glared down at her with molten eyes.

"GOOOOO!! NOW!!" Your distorted voice echoed through the caves as it started to collapse, breaking Katara's heart as she clutched Aang to her. Finally breaking through the catacombs, lava exploded out of cracks as you pulled yourself up to the surface, and destroying everything you touched. Exactly what your brother told you all those years ago.

Nothing but a monster.

"RRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!"

Appa flying away, the Gaang watched as the lava crashed against the walls of the palace, and saw you, a lava monster, breaking out and roaring.

Twig whimpered at the sight, with the colony watching in fear. Your mother hugged the tiger monkey close, praying to the past Avatars that you and your sister are safe.

"The Earth Kingdom... has fallen," The king mumbled in sadness as the Gaang watched with tears as you were no longer yourself.

"We... failed..."
