After what Riku did on Monday. He forced Tenma to ignore his friends and to come to the rooftop alone on lunch or some other time. Riku and his pals beat up Tenma every day and he is also not allowed to tell anyone. Or else he would face the consequences.

Aoi's POV:

A week has gone by and for some reason, Tenma doesn't want to talk to us or in a matter of fact, ignoring us. He would always go to the rooftop by himself and I don't know why. I was getting very worried. I was asking him what was wrong, but he never responded. He still goes to soccer practice, which was a relief. I also know something was wrong, not just me, but the others. During lunch, Tenma was packing his things and he left the classroom. Me and the others finished and went after him. I had to know why he is ignoring us. I saw Tenma walking down the hall, no one but us was there, so this was our chance to talk to him.

"Tenma!" I called out, but Tenma didn't respond, he just kept walking. I went after him and grabbed his hand.

"Could you just wait for a second, " I said, the others manage to catch up. Surprisingly Tenma stopped walking.

"What do you want?" Tenma asked. I was surprised that he finally talked. I let go of his hand.

"Why are you ignoring us?" Kageyama asked. Tenma didn't respond.

"If there is something, just tell us, " Tsurugi said. Still no response. It was silent for a while. But then Shinsuke broke the silence.

"Does our friendship not matter to you anymore?" Shinsuke asked in a sad tone. This shocked Tenma.

"It does matter, but" Tenma finally responded.

"If it does, then why don't you wanna talk to us?" I asked.

"Because I had to!" Tenma snapped, which shocked me and the others.

"I didn't want anything bad to happen to anyone, " Tenma added, "I'm sorry."

After Tenma said that, he ran very fast.

"Tenma wait!" I called out. But he turned to a corner and lost sight of him.

"Let's tell the others," Kageyama said. I nodded in response. The five of us went to the cafeteria and saw Shindou, Kirino, Nishiki, Midori, Akane, Ichino, and Aoyama, they were sitting at the same table. We went over to them and they noticed us.

"Oh, hey guys," Midori said.

"Hey there," I replied.

We sat down on the other seats and ate our lunch. We were silent for a bit, but I decided to break it.

"We encountered with Tenma," I said. this caught the attention of some of our seniors.

"Really? Did you talk to him?" Shindou-senpai asked.

"We did, but he said something really off," Kageyama said.

"What did he say?" Kirino-senpai asked.

"He said that the reason he is ignoring us is that he had to and that he doesn't want anything bad to happen to anyone," Shinsuke recalled what Tenma said.

"What does he mean by that?" Ichino asked.

"We don't know either, but we should try to find out," Kariya said.

"How are we gonna do that?" Aoyama asked.

"Well, you guys do know, he goes to the rooftop at lunch and after soccer practice," Nishiki said.

"Yeah, you're not planning on following him aren't you?" Midori replied.

"Well," Nishiki said.

After a few minutes, we decided to follow him after morning practice the next day. After soccer practice, Tenma left early and we told the plan to the rest. They agreed, but it was risky. The ones that will follow him is me, Shinsuke, Shindou, Kirino, Tsurugi, and Kageyama.

(The next day, after morning practice)

We quickly and silently followed Tenma to the rooftop. When he arrived at the rooftop, the six of us hid and peeked from the side and what shocked us that we saw him go to Riku and his friends.

"But why?" Kageyama whispered. We then kept quiet and heard the conversation.

"Heh, ready for your daily beat up," Riku said. This shocked us.

"Just get it over with," Tenma said in a sad and kinda weak voice.

"What did you say?!" Kura said.

"I said, just get it over with it," Tenma said, but we saw his eyes glow red for a split second.

"Oh no," I said in my mind.

"Looks like someone wants an extra beating," Gin said as he walked to Tenma and punched him in the stomach. Tenma fell on the floor.

I and the others were shocked by this.

"Tenma!" I shouted as I got out of hiding.

"Aoi no!" I heard Shindou said.

I continued to go to Tenma. I went to check if he was alright.

"Tenma, are you alright?" I asked, but he didn't reply. I looked at Riku and stood up.

"Leave him alone!" I shouted without hesitation.

"Or what?!" Kura said.

"Or, I'll," I didn't know what to say. So then I kept my mouth shut.

"Heh, it seems like you'll be the first one to be expelled on my list, " Riku said. This shocked me.

"Expel?!" I said.

"Riku don't, " Tenma said as he tried to get up.

"Tenma, " I said in my thoughts.

When I looked back at Riku, I saw Tsurugi sneaking behind him. I immediately knew what he was doing. Since Riku might have the papers to expel the students in his bag. I decided to distract him

"Why are you doing this?" I asked.

"Probably because for fun, " Riku said.

"How is bullying others fun?!" I said.

"Heh, mind your own business you little girl!" Gin said. I saw Tsurugi manage to find the papers and he grabbed them. He then went back to the hiding area where the others are located.

"Now, step out of the way or else, " Kura said as he brought out his claws.

I was scared but I didn't want to leave Tenma here.

"I will not leave my friend behind!" I said.

"Aoi, " I heard Tenma said.

"Well then, " Kura slowly walked towards me and raises his hand that has his claws out, "you asked for it!"

"Kura don't!" I heard Riku shout.

I closed my eyes ready for the hit. But it didn't happen. I felt someone hug me. When I opened I saw Tenma was in front of me, but why. When the realization came to I was horrified. I looked at the floor and saw blood. Tenma was bleeding.

"Tenma!" I screamed. The others went to me and Tenma.

"I'll get the nurse, "  Kageyama said and ran.

I looked at Riku and his friends. But no one was there. They probably ran. A nurse finally came and brought Tenma to the nurse's office.

(Time skip)

We were waiting for the nurse to come out and tell us if he is alright. The others came and we told them everything that happened. Apparently, Riku threatened him saying that he will expel us one by one if he didn't follow what he said. Tsurugi returned the papers to the principal and the principal said that he will talk to his son and friends. The nurse came out and said Tenma was alright and that he needs to rest. But he will need to skip classes to recover and he might be able to do soccer practice. We were glad that he is alright, me and the rest thank the nurse and went to our classes.

"I hope your alright Tenma," I said in my thoughts.

Riku's POV:

I went to the office cause my father called me. I entered and had a conversation.

"You almost killed an innocent student!" my father shouted.

"I tried to st-" I was about to finish, but my father interrupted.

"Human or not, you shouldn't go off hurting others!" my father interrupted, "what would your mother say-"

I gripped my fist and shouted, "the reason why she is gone is because of humans! you never listen to what I had to say."

I turned around and left the office. I was angry and I met up with Kura and Gin.

"I'm sorry bro, I lost control," Kura said.

"It's not your fault," Gin said.

I gripped my fist and was very angry at the conversation I had with my father. I suddenly then felt a sense of hatred in my soul, taking over my body. I felt like I wanted revenge. Revenge on them. Mostly Matsukaze. My vision then became black.

Third POV:

Meanwhile, Jain and Leo were watching and Jain's eyes were glowing and staring at Riku. The glow then disappeared.

"That should do it," Jain said.

"Are you sure that's a good idea to use you power like that?" Leo asked.

"Master told me so, so I did it," Jain replied.

Jain's power ~ Manipulation of hate - she can use the hate a person has and make it control over the person with that hate. The more hate the person has, the more control it takes over the person.

"Now all we have to do is watch," Jain said and then she grinned.
