Zane's POV

I was walking around with the shadow knights this morning.

"Ok, Zane I know you want to become a SK so if you want to become one of us you see that girl over there?" Gene said pointing at a Meif'wa with H/l H/c hair, ET/c ears and tail.

"Yeah." I said

"I want you to push her into the fountain." Gene said.

"Then I can be a shadow knight?" I asked

"Yes." Gene said. Gene turned and started whispering to Sasha and Zenix. A few minutes later they turned their attention back to me.

"Let's go." Gene said walking towards the fountain.

When we got to the fountain I went over to the girl. I shoved her in and we all started snickering.

"What the heck!" The girl shouted

"Oops, I didn't see you there." I replied laughing.

"Welcome to the shadow knights Zane." Gene said still laughing.

"Bye kitty!" I shouted as we walked away.

*back with Y/n current time*

Y/n's POV

"Why does it matter if Zane joined the shadow knights?" I asked Garroth

"He's my brother." Garroth said

"Wow. Him and you. Brothers. I didn't see that coming." I said

"Yeah, I know he's kinda the black sheep of the family." Garroth said

"I noticed." I said following Garroth to the office.

"We're here." Garroth said stopping in front of a door.

"Thanks." I said

"No problem. If you ever need any help just come to me." Garroth said winking.

"Umm...ok" I said. Then I walked into the office. Water still dripping off my uniform. "Excuse me, I need to call home." I told the lady behind the desk.

"Do you know your parent's number?" She asked.

"Yes, ma'am." I said

"Ok, the phone is over there." She said pointing towards the podium by the wall with a phone .

I called my mom's number and waited for her to pick up.

"Hello?" Mom asked

"Hey, mom.." I said

"What is it? I'm at work." Mom said

"Some boy pushed me into the fountain. I need my spare uniform from the house." I said

"I can't help you. I'm working with our new business partners." Mom said

"Ok.." I said "bye mom." I hung up the phone.

"Is someone coming with your extra uniform?" The lady asked.

"No. My parents are too busy running their company" I said rolling my eyes.

"I'm sorry sweetie. We might have a few extra uniforms." She said.

"It's ok, I'm used to my parents not being around." I told her "If you don't mind.. Could I use one of the extra uniforms.." I asked

"Of course you can!" The lady said.

"Thank you." I mumbled as the lady went to find the extra uniforms.

She returned later with a box of uniforms. "Here this looks about your size." She said handing me a uniform

I took the uniform and went to the bathroom. I went to a stall and changed out of my wet uniform. Once changed I returned to the office.

"Thank you for your help." I said

"No problem!" The lady said

"Well I need to get to class." I whispered to myself as I walked out

'Great I don't know where my classes are..' I thought I was wandering around looking for my class when I got hopelessly lost, somehow I ended up outside..

"Zane, here you know the logo right?" Said a voice it was slightly familiar

"Of course I do!" That high pitched voice from earlier said

I was only sitting there for a minute and next thing I knew I was soaking wet and I heard snickering. I moved my wet hair from my face. I looked up to see a boy with black hair and bright blue eyes. Behind him was a girl with pale purple hair, it was almost white she had purple eyes, a boy with black hair and icy blue eyes his hair covering one eye and a mask covering his mouth, and a boy with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.

"What the heck!" I shouted at the four idiots in front of me.

"Oops I didn't see you there." The boy in the mask said laughing his squeaky voice was pretty annoying.

"Welcome to the shadow knights, Zane." The boy with the black hair and bright blue eyes said laughing.

"See ya around Kitty!" Zane said.

"Looks like Kitty got lost." The leader.. Gene? Said

"Leave me alone!" I screamed at them

"We just wanted to know if you want to be in our gang." Gene said.

"Not like you have a choice." The squeaky one said.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked.

"Well, we have power and you don't." The girl, Sasha? said

"Ok... That means nothing to me." I said folding my arms and giving them the 'do I look like I care' look

"Maybe this could persuade you to join us." Gene said holding up a picture of me in an MLH onesie.

"How the F*** did you get that?!?" I asked him yelling

"I have my ways." Gene said slyly

"Fine, I'll join your dumb group!" I said putting my hands in air.

"Good, you're skipping class with us today." Gene said

"What! No I'm not!" I told him trying to leave

"I still have this.." Gene pointed at the picture

"Fine!" I said giving in

"Why does she have to join us? I don't like her." Said Zane's squeaky voice

"Because she could be of use. She's related to the werewolves alpha, meaning that she can stop him from getting in our way." Gene said

"I still don't like her." Zane said

"The feeling is mutual." I told him glaring

I swear I saw a faint pink on his cheeks. 'Whatever' I thought.
