Bubbling, a lava flow that produced a new set of eggs for the magma to gobble up and give birth to a new satanic creature.

These eggs were created from those who died, and went to hell. But actions so sinister, they were treated almost as royalty inside the outsides of hell. These people forget who they once were before death, and discard their original bodies to be replaced with a more powerful, one that is less vulnerable. These creatures have different stages of power, one of the highest being tormentor, lowest being a demon. 

And inside the volcanic liquid, the eggs rested, and one particular one held a great fate, a journey that bounded to no ends. She had no name, she had no life beforehand, her life before death was irrelevant, it didn't matter in the grand scheme. 

Fed by tortured souls, the eggs thrived. Shivering with joy as they ate up the souls, giving life to the bodies that are now only used as a base for the horrors inside of it. Months pass, maintainers looked after the eggs, but this time they've had a shortage on souls.

It was an experiment, they valued no lives anyways. 

The little egg that carried a demon that would have such a great fate noticed the lack, actually, they all did. And this sprung the girl inside to wake. Seeing the sticky and grotesque structure around her, she was confused. She bit it, and gained the urge to rip herself out of the egg. 

She clawed at it, bit at it, used her wings to rip at it, tearing the egg apart in order to break free. It was to early, the egg sprayed a gas in, the demon fighting the gas, trying to get out but failing. She passed back out inside the egg.

Hours later, her egg starved and using as much energy as it can to continue producing the demon, and she began to tear at it again, feeling herself weakened, the egg attempted to defend itself, but being to weak decided to keep developing the girl. 

She ripped and teared, and finally, after the hard work a hole was punctured, she clawed her way out from that hole, her skin and fur feeling the magma against it for the first time, burning her gently, but she didn't care. She was out. Looking around and seeing other eggs, she was the first to escape her egg. 

She swam to the surface, her face stung with the sudden temperature drop, breathing heavily. Her body was under developed, but that didn't stop her from escaping death for the first time in her new life. Looking for land, she saw a group of demons staring at her, with wide eyes. She swam up, and clawed her way to the surface. 

She stood up, and was face to face with a tormentor. They was a snake-goat hybrid, looking into the girl's eyes without feeling in their soul.

"What is your name?" The tormentor asked, the newborn demon shrugged, "I don't know. I don't think I have a name."

The tormentor nodded, and began to walk away, beckoning the demon to follow her. "The name's Lucia." they looked at the demon, and looked down to her exposed bits. "Have some clothes, unless you're a succubus, I don't believe you want to be seen without clothing in public." Lucia gave her some ripped clothing, and they appeared on the demon. 

"You shall be named Umbra then. It's our default name to any demon who doesn't know their name." Lucia explains, causing the demon to ponder for a moment, before declining the name.

"How about something similar but different?" The demon offers, Lucia turns her head in curiosity. "I like Umbra, but it doesn't fit me, what about..."

She thought for a moment, before her mind came to a conclusion. 

"How about Umbree?"

Lucia nodded, it was a fine name. Not to creative, but at least it wasn't Umbra for the millionth time.

Umbree and Lucia strolled through hell, it looked awful. "That shell should've eaten away at your soul, entirely. But I doubt that, you were born early after all." They explained, "So try to distance yourself. If they know, they'll attempt to make your life miserable."

Umbree nodded, and continued to walk along. Lucia eventually stopped following her, bowing, and saying, "You're on your own now, under developed demons have it the worst. Farewell." Lucia said, before turning back. 

"Will I ever see you again?" Umbree asked, Lucia laughed a bit, "Hopefully not! I mean, if you're a caretaker you'll have some of the worst lives, so try to aim for something that isn't as shameful." Umbree was confused, "People don't respect you?"

Lucia shook her head, turning around fully and moon walking back, "I'm way to powerful to be disrespected dear, freedom of speech applies here, but be careful of what you say, there's no laws!"

Lucia turned back around, and walked to her area, Umbree left in shock as she watched Lucia leave. 

Umbree began to walk in the opposite direction, coming upon a small town. She walked along, looking around the place, it wasn't exactly peaceful, but she was sure that cities were much worse. 

She glanced over to see a gang of demons, eyeing her down. Umbree knew that she had to get somewhere inside, and fast. She quickly got into a motel, and sat down on a couch, it wasn't comfy but she'd get used to it. 

She sat there, looking around nervously before a demon came up behind her, putting a knife to her throat. "Hey, give me your cash." They whispered, she looked over to the person at the counter, but they were doing nothing. 

"I have no cash, scram." Umbree snapped back, the demon chuckled, holding the knife closer, "I know that you're lying. Give. Me. Your. Cash."

Umbree grabbed his hand, and crushed it, going up to  the counter as the other demon waled in pain. "I'd like a room." She politely demands. The one at the counter, with wide eyes, nods, and hands her the keys. 

She didn't like hell very much. She opened her door, and walked in, it was shitty, but she could stay here for now. She was quite starved, and compared to other demons, she looked really under developed.

Anyways, yes, Umbree (and Carlese) had lives before this. Will I ever write them? No. They're not nessisary. Can you write them? Sure. I don't care.
