It was Brian's birthday and he's out for the time being with Freddie to do who knows what while John and Roger was baking his birthday cake. "Alright Freddie and Brian are out for an hour so let's get to it!" the drummer exclaimed while running to the kitchen. The bassist made a small noise in reply and got out a bowl, spoon, and cake tin. He then raised an eyebrow and questioned, "do you even know how to make a cake?" Roger shrugged, "All I know is that there's flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, and something to make it rise." John then gave his friend a worried look as Roger goes to the oven and sets the oven to the highest setting. "Uh, I don't think the oven should be that hot, Rog." The younger man huffed while going to the oven, setting it to a lower temperature to suit baking a cake. John then smiled warmly, "There, that's better." The older man huffed and rolled his eyes as he went to the pantry and got some flour, salt, sugar, and a can of soda. "Roger, why did you get a can of soda?" The bassist grimaced, pointing to the soda. Roger then open the can. "Because, it's going to be used as the riser. Baking soda, right?" John then sighed and rubbed his temples of his head muttering, "Yes Rog, it is baking soda." The man knew that soda isn't baking soda when used in cooking but he just wanted his friend to feel go od about himself.

After getting all the ingredients mixed in, some of the ingredients measurements being too much or too little like too much salt and eggs and too little sugar and milk, the cake was finally in the oven, doing what all cakes do in a oven; bake! "Let's go make the frosting while the cake is in the oven." John muttered while getting cream cheese in the fridge, soon putting it in a bowl. The other man nodded in response and got the powdered sugar in the pantry and poured it in, letting his friend stir it in. After about half an hour of baking, the cake was done and soon, the two members of Queen had iced the cake and put a candle on it. "I bet Brian's gonna love it!" Roger exclaimed excitingly. John chuckled warmly and nodded in agreement. The two men quickly ducked behind the counter when they heard their two older friends chatting and laughing about stuff, soon hearing the door open. "...and that is why Kenny and I can never eat mushrooms again." Freddie finished his story as he and his younger friend laughed. Roger was about to say something but John covered his mouth to keep him from making noise that would ruin the surprise jump. The two older men walked into the kitchen and saw the cake. "Is that a cake?" The curly haired man cocked an eyebrow but as he came closer, the two younger ones popped out from their spot, shouting 'surprise' to get their friend a jump scare. "Oh it's you guys!" Brian chuckled after getting his breath back. Freddie letted out a small chuckle and patted his back muttering, "They made you the cake while we were gone." The oldest grabbed a lighter and lit the candle that's on it the cake.

After singing happy birthday, Brian finally got to cut his cake and taste what his friends had created. "My, my this cake looks good." Brian happily said in a sing-song voice, putting a piece of cake into his mouth. Brian cringed a little at the taste of the cake, the cake was too moist at some parts, some parts were too dry, the cake itself was too salty and the icing was too sweet. Brian fortunately swallowed the cake and lied to his friends that had been waiting for an answer, "it was great guys, this is the best cake ever." The other three smiled as Brian managed to choke down his entire cake, trying to spare the rest from eating the monstrosity "cake". Soon the rest were all doing their own things and Brian thought in his head as he sat on the couch, "I'm never letting John and Roger make me a cake again."
