Chapter 17

It was the next morning and you were given the morning off which you were both grateful and disappointed about. Grateful because you had more time to yourself and to do what you wanted and were disappointed because you wouldn't see your favorite people until the afternoon. You doubted that they would be happy about this predicament especially since no one had told them beforehand. You hoped they didn't cause too much of a ruckus that they would be punished, and forced to stay in their rooms for a week or more.

"Lord, someone, anyone who is listening let them behave until I get there during lunch." You were talking out loud hoping your prayers would somehow be answered. In the meantime, you would finish Michael's doll since Pyramid Heads doll took a little longer because you wanted to get his helmet right. The rest of the morning went by fast and you were able to finish Michael's doll and finally get the helmet's shape correct before it was time for you to head out for lunch. You hoped when you got to the cafeteria that no one was forced to be sent to their room or that activities were taken away for a week as punishment for everyone. That was unfair but, whatever. You packed lunch and took it with you, leaving Michael's and Pyramid's dolls with all your crochet stuff. You made it to the cafeteria doors in time to greet everyone before entering.

"Where were you this morning? How come you weren't sitting with us during breakfast?" You gave Stu an apologetic look signaling that you would explain once everyone was inside sitting down and eating.

"I thought they had gotten rid of you and didn't want to tell us." You shook your head, no, at Amanda surprised and not surprised at that idea. That is something that they would do here. They would have just gotten rid of you without even telling them. You think that would not fare well with your friends if they were to get rid of you but, you do not believe they would be so cruel to do that.

"I'm so happy to see you." That was Susie, who was walking with the rest of the Legion Group and you smiled big at her. You continued to stand there and wave at everyone else as they went inside and after Pyramid Head went inside you followed suit. You stood at the front where everyone could see you and waited until they all had their trays and when they did, you took a seat in the center where you could see all of them and they could all see you.

"what happened during breakfast? You weren't here princess." You looked up at Danny who decided that the best place to be was pressed against your right side.

"They had given me the morning off. I thought they would have told you guys, but it is obvious now that they did not." You weren't surprised when the others decided to join you and now you were sitting with Ji-Woon, Stu, Billy, Brahms, Jason, and Bubba. The way they sat together peacefully makes sense because they are the least likely of the patients to cause problems. Well, Danny would be one to cause problems, but he wouldn't do it with the ones in the group right now if it could be helped.

"Of course, they wouldn't tell us they wouldn't tell us shit." Billy has said this, and you shouldn't have expected them to say anything from the jump that was wishful thinking on your part.

"Well, the best part is that I'm here and will be here for dinner. The next time they give me a morning or lunch or any time off, I will tell you guys myself so there will be no surprises next time." That seemed to have appeased them for now. The rest of lunch was spent with you talking with who you dubbed the peaceful of the group but you could feel pyramid heads' eyes as well as the Sinclair brothers, on you meaning you needed to make time before dinner or during dinner to make it up to them. You glanced over to smile at them, but you were surprised to have made eye contact with Freddy and Michael behind him at the other table. It was unnerving, but you should be used to their stares. They always stared at you but lately, it's been more intense and frequent. You stared back down at your lunch and over at the group you were sitting with, unaware of the thoughts going through the other's heads.

"Why does she always have to sit with them? Why can't she sit with me? She looks better sitting with me." He doesn't know why he was having these thoughts. Normally he would wish to make the nurses a part of his wax collection, or he didn't care about them, only listening to his brother because his brother has never steered him wrong. Ever since she had gifted him a doll that looked like him, he couldn't get her out of his mind. He wanted to feel her, he wanted to smell her hair. He wanted to feel her presence as she sat next to him and talked to him about everything that came across her mind. He has never felt this way about anyone before and he doesn't want the feeling to go away. He wanted you to come and make it better.

"What are you thinking so hard about Vincent?" Bo followed his brother's train of sight and saw that he was locked onto your form. He will admit in the beginning he hated you, just like he hated all the other nurses. He thought it was a waste of time for you to introduce yourself. He didn't want to know anything about you because he was convinced that you would have left within a couple of days, just like everyone else did. Imagine his surprise when you were still here after the first 3 days, and then you were here a week later. What put the cherry on top for him was when you sat next to Pyramidhead, a creature or man that even he was scared of, well everyone was a little scared of him, to be honest, even if they never admitted it. That's when he knew you were crazy and were meant to stay, even though he didn't want to get his hopes up. "Ah, don't worry she will sit with us." He threw us in there because even though he won't admit it aloud, he did want your company.

"Lunchtime is over in 5 minutes"

With that announcement, you got up and started to clean up everyone's trays and throw them out. When you got to PyramidHead, you yelped when he reached the arm out quickly and brought you in for a tight embrace. It was unheard of, but before the guards could jump at the chance of electrocuting him or hitting him, whichever they preferred you wrapped your arms around him the best you could.

"Missed you too big guy." He let you go just as quickly as he had grabbed you and you were allowed to grab the rest of the trays to throw out. Once everything was cleaned and cleared out, you stood by the exit doors and waved to all of them, promising to be there during dinner as the last occupant exited the lunchroom you turned around and made a beeline for your room determined to finish Pyramidheads doll and start on Michaels. Between making dinner and working on the two dolls, you finished Pyramidhead within 10 minutes and spent the rest of the time eating and working on Michaels. You made progress with the doll's body and head before it was time to go and greet and be with them for dinner. You will admit that to someone else this job could get mundane, but you found it to be the highlight of your life right now. You were aware that it was your life and you could change jobs if you truly hated it being here. But you don't. They all grew on you.

"You weren't joking about being here" You knew that Ji-Woon was half-serious, and half-joking so you fondly rolled your eyes. You waved with a big grin at the others and you maintained eye contact with Bo, whose eyes kept shifting between you and his brother Vincent. Was he trying to tell you something? Was he trying to ask you to sit with Vincent? Once everyone was aside and went through the protocol of getting their trays and sitting down, you decided to throw caution to the wind and sit with Bo and his brother Vincent. When you sat down between the two brothers, it seemed you had made the right call because Vincent instantly turned to you and started talking about wax figurines and techniques needed to perfect the craft. You found yourself immersed in a conversation and even talking to Bo whenever he threw in little commentary here and there. You even talked about cars and trucks with Bo, which piqued his interest. Once dinner was over and you stood by the doors to bid them a good night, you made eye contact with a few of the others, and you didn't get a chance to talk too much. You decided right then and there that you were going to talk to the others. The quieter of the quiet. You were going to talk to Amanda, Anna, the Trapper, Phillip, and anyone else who came from the entity realm. It was only fair that you made time with them.

What are your guy's thoughts? Also, I noticed that I say Bo sometimes and Thomas others, they are the same person.
