The Anigame Club Part 3: Dominoes Duos

Camila and the two college students were left astonished at his proposal.

"You're challenging us to dominoes, in McDonalds?"

"What's in it for us?"

"Easy, you want revenge but don't want to end up in jail for beating up two teenagers? Problem solved."

Camila blinked. "You sure about this?"

"True, I should make it more interesting. If we win, you pay for our meal, and drop your grudge."

"And if we win?"

"You take me outside and do whatever you want to me outside."

"Oh no, we want both of you."

"Please, I have a side chick who's way better."

"Excuse me," she whispered to him.

"Play along," showing them a picture of two of their classmates on his phone. "She can do a lot of things with her legs," pointing to the other, "and she's really good with balls."

Camila folded her arms, texting him.

You're pimping our classmates without telling them?

He pulled out his phone. Look at their faces, making her look up to see them licking their lips, nodding to each other over which one they have. It's just to bait them.

Still, that's what you think about them? Wow.

Emerald and Athena are a soccer player and a basketball player.

Her face popped. Soccer? Legs? Balls? Basketball!

He folded his arms with annoyance. You were thinking something kinky again, weren't you?

You made it sound weird.

Hey, you thought it, not me.

Shush.

But Emerald's my friend, and Athena would be my friend if her crew wasn't more insufferable than locker room fight club. They're the two strongest girls in our grade. If these creeps come for them, we'll call the cops. The girls might make them beg for the cops to save them first though.

I mean it's a good plan. But if we lose they'll just beat you up.

They'll have to ask me where our school is. I'll ask them to take me to the school so they could beat me up in front of everyone. You run out and get someone that looks tough or calls the cops.

That's insane. I'm not just gonna leave you alone, pulling down the phone. "Not with these two," defiant with passion.

He shook his head, smiling. I know, but if the worst comes to pass, you won't get hurt at all. Besides, pulling down his phone after showing it to her, grinning.

"We aren't a thing, but we'll beat them together."

Camila sighed, reluctantly agreeing to his plan.

"Then I'll make sure we win."

They both exchanged a smile when the two snapped at them.

"Were you two just texting each other the whole time?"

He sucked his teeth, annoyed they ruined the moment while she sat down first, shuffling the dominoes. Winning made the best sense for revenge.

Both duos sat down, and Camila handed out every pairs dominoes while Silas asked for their names, claiming he'd like to know the names of the people he'd defeat. Angered, revealing their names were Adin and Josh, the latter accidentally flipped over his dominoes, allowing Camila to see them all.

"Wait, what's your names?"

"She's um, Cabello, and I'm Carlisle," earning her eye raise at the fake names. "They sounded nice in my head," he whispered.

She stayed focused on the game, dropping the double six immediately. Going around, Adin and Josh lacked anything, prompting Silas to drop one to complement her. All four of them began connecting their pieces together, with the high schoolers in the lead. Though she seemed nervous, every time the college duo got distracted, she'd peak at Silas' tiles, confident they could win this.

However, Camila saw Adin pointing at Silas' direction and Josh carefully analyzing his tiles. Silas spent the next rounds forced to pick up more pieces. While he grew frustrated, Camila tilted her head, observing where Adin was looking at.

"Silas, let me wear your glasses!"

"Why? I'm way less hot with them on."

"That's not true," crouching down. "They're using your glasses," reflection to see your pieces, whispering in his ears. "Trust me, their chances of winning end here and now."

"Okay," lending them to wear on her forehead, reflecting light onto them, blinding them quick enough for Ceilia to see their pieces they accidentally turned over. She warned him to get ready for when she dropped ones he could add to they couldn't, reducing both of them to only two tiles in twenty turns.

Adin and Josh recognized this, and chose to put their second to last pieces in opposite directions.

"Game, set, and match."

"You two can't move."

Camila smirked as Silas, after squinting to see it again, propped his last tile next to Josh's.

"What?"

"Haven't you heard of divide," snapping to her.

Camila dropped her last piece next to Adin, "and conquer."

The two older males were completely dumbfounded at their loss.

"How did you beat us?"

"I played with my dad all the time at our family gatherings against my relatives. He showed me a bunch of tricks and tips. And having a good poker face."

Silas tilted his head. "Wait, you can do that outside of poker?" She nodded. "Learn something new every day."

Befuddled, Adin and Ross regrettably handed them a twenty as the senior patrons clapped, congratulating them on their win.

"You lot get, they earned their meal."

Before they could leave, Camila extended her hand to Adin and Ross.

"That was a good game."

"You're not mad at us?"

"I am. But my dad tells me guys act cruel for five reasons, fear, power, love, rage, or status. Why not just be yourselves to get girls your age?"

"We..aren't that good at it."

"Why not start a club at your campus? A social, or gaming club?

"That way you've got no excuse to lose to anyone else at dominoes," Silas added.

Adin and Josh turned to each other, talking amongst themselves.

"Maybe we should."

"Well I don't wanna end up like Dustin."

"We'll try it out."

"Hope it works out then."

"So I don't have to beat you all up too."

They had a bizarre laugh before they left. While Silas went to order, she returned the dominoes set to the older folks, with choice words for her.

"You figured out they were trying to cheat off your boyfriend's eyes. My daughter is saying all these kids today are bad and dumb, but kids like you and my granddaughter are proving them wrong."

"Um, thank you miss, but he's not my boyfriend."

"Oh don't be so brash. He wasn't talking all big for you like that if he wasn't into you. Enjoy your youth before you get old and cranky like me!"

"You were always old and cranky," the man next to her said, earning laughter from their friends.

"You're the fool who married me," laughing with them as they got up, while she pointed Camila at Silas.

"Camila, look, we got number seven hundred seventy seven. Our lucky day!"

"You two enjoy," leaving with her friends.

Camila nodded.

"Sure, we will."
