I standing by the refreshment table on the set of America, people watching for the most part. It's actually a live show and it was enjoyable until Prince pulled me onstage and wore me the hell out singing Life Can Be So Nice. We were all over the ground of the stage, he picked me up and spun me around, we were trying to catch flowers in our mouths during Eric's sax solo. It was shit you can only experience when you perform with Prince. I was dousing down bottles of water still.

Prince was giving MTV an interview. I asked him why he was doing an interview even though he hated them but he said that he was a little bit more worried how the public perceived him this time around. He hand picked the questions, mostly stuff he wanted to address and he had his manager give the interview.  I don't know where the hell it came from and personally I blame Susannah but hey that's just me. I grabbed my bowl of fruit and sat down against a wall watching. Also trying to see how many of these apple pieces I could fit into my mouth.

"One thing I'd like to say it that....I don't live in a prison and i'm not afraid of anything." He paused as he stared off into space. He was nervous and I could tell that he was trying choosing his words very carefully. We talked about how some reporters would misquote him a lot so he just stayed away from interviews all together. That is until now.

"I-...I'm just like anyone else I need love and water and I don't consider myself a superstar. I live in a small town and I always will cuz' I can walk around and be me........and-" He paused again and he looked off to the side a little at me. I had both cheeks full of apple pieces and I gave him two thumbs up in reassurance. He chuckled a little at that at my goofiness, which made me happy. He turned back to the camera's and just stared for a bit, a little smirk on his face.

"That's all I wanna be and that's all I tried to be. I didn't know what was gonna happen. I- just- tried to do my best and if somebody dug it then." He gave two little kissed and cut his eyes over to me again. I opened my mouth revealing that I had cleared my mouth. He shot me this wide eyed look again, he once again took it as sexual innuendo. I rolled my eyes and flicked him off. He chuckled once again and asked his manager to repeat the question. I couldn't hear it was something about inspiration.

"James Brown played a big influence on my style um when I was about 10 years old my stepdad put me on a' stage with him. I danced a little bit until the bodyguard took me off. The reason why I like James Brown so much is on my way backstage, on my way out. I saw some of the finest dancin' girl I ever seen in my life. And I think and I respect uh he influenced me by his control over his group...his dancing girls. There's apple and there's oranges."

"Nigga." I scrunched my face up confused as hell at what he meant. Then I looked down at my bowl and looked over at him. Did he mean my food? I don't know what Prince is talking about half of the time.

"In the Rolling Stone interview, you aid you were surprised by so many people comparing you to Hendrix when you play guitar." Prince sat up, mostly because he knew this question was coming. He cleared his throat before he spoke.

"Uhm a lot had to do with um........." He ran his thumb over his bottom lip trying to pick the right words. "Like I said the color of my skin." He locked his arms over his knee and started rocking back and forth. "That's not where it's at all....it really isn't. Hendrix was very good but they'll never be another one like him. It would be a pity to try. I strive for originality in my work and.....hopefully it'll be percieved that way " I'm guessing he's a little nervous because he's acting a little jittery to at least to me, which is adorable by the way. He glanced over at me again and smiled a little, desperation in his eyes. You had to really know Prince to tell what his eyes meant. 

"Your doing fine." I mouthed and shot him two thumbs up. "Loosen up." He smirked and turned back to the camera. I hopped back up and filled my bowl with more fruit all while watching Prince do everything but look at the camera. Sometime I wanna throw a show at him, not mine though. Hell naw my red bottoms are too expensive. 

"Some people have criticized you for selling out the white rock audience with Purple Rain and leaving you black listeners behind."

"Come on." Prince mumbled a little stunned by the question.

"How do you respond?"

"Aw come on! Come on!" He cleared his throat once again. He's probably still horse from all the yelling he did. He gestured to his shirt sleeve "Cufflinks like this cost money. Ok? Let's be frank. Can we be frank? If we can't be nun' else we might as well be frank. So lovely. Thank you." He blew some dramatic kissed into the camera. I bursted into laughter on the side everyone turned to look at me. I gave an awkward wave causing Prince threw his head back and started laughing at me. I covered my face with my hands, peering through my fingers until they all turned back around and continued the interview. 

"Seriously." He snickered trying to shake his laugh and get back to serious mode. "I was brought up in a black and white world and....." He looked off to the side and I gave him a thumbs up letting him know he was on the right track. "Yes black and white, night and day, rich and poor, black and white. And I listened to all kinds of music when I was young and when I was younger I always said one day I was going to play all kinds of music. And not be judged by the color of my skin but..."

"By the quality of my work." We said in sync. I smiled to myself knowing Prince and I thought a like in some retrospect.

"Hopefully that will continue. I uhm...I think that there are a lot of people out there that uhm understand this and they support me in my habits and I support them and there." 

He glanced over at me once again and I gave him a mini round of appluase and nodded. He horribly fought off a smile and turned back to his interview.

"Someone in Minneapolis recently told us that several months ago they were in a studio there when David Rifkin, your sound engineer, walked in. They asked him what he thought of the new Prince album, Around The World In A Day. He said, "It's great, but wait 'til you hear the new album." Apparently, he meant you're already working on a new LP, and that this one would be a strong return to your funk roots. Is this true? Can you elaborate? What will it be called? When will it be due out, and what's the music like?"

"Don't you like surprises?" He smirked. "Guess not. Ah, it is true I record very fast. It goes even quicker now that the girls help me -- the girls, meaning Wendy and Lisa. Not these girls" He gestured behind him. "I don't really think uh I left my funk roots anywhere along the line. Around The World In A Day is a funky album. Live it's even funkier." I nodded in agreement and stabbed another strawberry with my fork.

"See she thinks so." He pointed to side and everyone turned to me. 

"Stop!!" I whined and dropped my fork in my bowl and covered my face with my hands. 

"Aww she's shy. Everyone stare at her." I put my hands down a little to see Prince staring at me wide eye like an owl and threw my head back laughing. 

"He's always bullying me." I put my jacket, some black and white checkered one Prince had made for me, and covered my face. I didn't put the jacket down until I heard him ask the next question.

"Why did you make the announcement that there'd be no singles or videos from that LP, and then start issuing singles and making videos anyway?"

"Because I wanted this album to be listened to, judged, critiqued." He chuckled to himself a little. "Critiqued- and listened to as a whole. It's hard to take a trip and go around the block, and stop when the trip is 400 miles. Dig?" 

"I dig it." I snickered and stood up to stretch because I had been sitting down a while. I walked over to find Jerome and along the way I heard whispering in a back room. I'm not one to ease drop but I heard Wendy and Susannah whispering about someone being a slut and I know for a fact Susannah hates me so, why not listen in.

"What does she have that I don't? Come on Wendy?"

"I don't no Sus." Wendy sounded more nonchalant. I could hear heels pacing the floor which i'm assuming was Susannah. 

"They follow behind eachother like puppies and it makes me sick. I mean I was here first. I've known him longer. I'm the girlfriend. He loves me not her."

"Prince is weird Sus and I told you this. How he deals with girls isn't right and I told you that. Your the one who put you in that mess. He's been following behind Jasmyn for as long I can remember. So she's not a brand new chick."

The heels stopped dead in their tracks. "What do you mean?"

"He got her some lavender roses one time, went to one of her concerts and stayed backstage to make sure she got them. He met her on Rick James's Tour when she was like 15 or something like that. Lisa told me about it."

"Ok and? " The heels resumed pacing the floor. "That means absolutely nothing. She was too young for him to even pursue her. He's with me now so she can just back off."

"All I'm saying is she's well of age now and he determined to get her then. Lisa told me when he first saw her he couldn't stop talking about her. I warned you about this Susannah. I told you. "

I backed away from the doorframe and walked away. One because I was freaked out and two I was scared to get caught. I walked back to where Prince was to see he was making everyone laugh and being himself which brought a smile to my face. He glanced to the side looking for me I waved to show him I was still here. His eyes relaxed and a little chuckle slipped out. My mind was racing a million miles a minute trying to process everything I just heard. 

"Speaking of singles and videos, your latest is "America." This is one of the most political songs you've ever done. Could you tell us what the song is supposed to say to people? For example, is it straightforwardly patriotic or more complicated than that?:

"Straightforwardly patriotic." He answered simply. 

"We understand you directed the "America" video, and that you also directed "Raspberry Beret." How do you approach directing a video? Do you consult others in order to keep a certain perspective when directing yourself?"

"Yes, definitely. When directing myself, I consult Steve my manager. On directing other Paisley Park artists, I consult the artists first and foremost. One of the things I try to do with the things I direct -- namely for our acts -- is go for the different, the out-of-the-norm, the avant purple, so to speak. And the thing that's unique about the situation I'm in now with these people is that they all know who they are, and they agree with me when we say the one thing we produce is the alternative. If someone wants to go along for that ride, then cool. Ain't that right Jasmyn!?" He yelled over his shoulder.

"Prince!! Stop bullying me!!" I giggled

"Speaking of directing, tell us as much as you can about Under the Cherry Moon."

"Ooooh." Prince nodded knowingly, bopping his head to each part of the question he asked. He turned to the side and beckoned me with his finger to come. I shook my head no and he beckoned me again. Everyone was looking so I smiled and decided to come anyway. Mentally cussing his ass out. 

"Uhm it's a French film and uh it's a black and white French film." I gestured for someone to scoot over and I sat in between Prince's open legs propping my arms up on his knees. If I was gonna be here I was gonna get comfortable. 

He laughed a little at me. "And she's in it." He pointed to me and patted me on the head. I titled my head back. He leaned his head down, a big smile on his face.

"Enchanté" He poked me on the nose, which made me scrunch my face up. 

"Where the hoes at?" I laughed, referring to our inside joke from when we went to Versailles.

"What?" He waved me off dismissing me. "She can explain the film better but to that camera that's the pretty one." He pointed to the side of me. 

"OK." I exhaled and sat up. "English or French?" 

"French, let's make it fancy."

"OK." I rubbed my hands together. "Now my French is a little rusty but I think I got this."

I took a deep breathe. "Il est un très beau film en noir et blanc , plein de personnages fantastiques . Il est une histoire d'un pianiste nommé Christopher et une fille très très riche du nom de Mary Sharon . Et ils tombent amoureux . Dans le film Je suis une fille complètement fou avec des nattes et des mini-jupes et je suis un propriétaire."

I titled my head back to Prince and I held my hand out to him.

"Thank you that was excellent." He shook my hand. 

"There has been quite the speculation about the relationship of you and Jasmyn. Sources have spotted you together holding hands, at lunches and dinners together. Is there an affair going on?"

My eyes widened, my stomach dropped,my jaw clenched, and I had the sudden urge to piss myself all at the same time. but I maintained a smile on my face. Many years so showbiz training finally come in handy.

Prince chuckled a little biting his lip.

"She's a very talented young woman and I am an admirer or her work. She has a very soothing voice, very angelic. She has inspired me and my work a good bit. I-" He paused to think for a minute. I titled my head up and he looked down at me and scrunched his face up at me, making me laugh.  ".....I absolutely adore her. She's a very bright soul."

I poked my bottom lip out and awed. "Moonlight." He chuckled.

I put my hands over my mouth covering my impending smile. "She's a very beautiful girl and we are very close and..........and that's all I'm gonna say about that."

I nearly threw up at that answer. Prince's manager's eyes got wide at that answer and when I looked around were everyone else's.

I looked to the side and Susannah's mouth was wide open. I got to admit that her reaction made me feel the best. Did he just say this in public? In an interview? Maybe I'm taking what he said out of context, but if I am so is everyone else. He hasn't hidden his affection for me. I have to admit we've been pretty public with our...love? I don't know. Michael is going to kill me.

I looked around trying to take some tension out the air. I tugged on Prince's pants. "I'll go get your Cadillac." I stood up and brushed my clothes off. 

"Cadillac?!? Oh no." He put his head in his hands. "I don't drive no Cadillac." I walked off fake laughing but on the inside I was freaking out.

Screaming with excitement! Jasmyn has reportedly been bonding with her 'Under the Cherry Moon' co-star Prince, who sweetly gushed about his friendship with the singer in an interview!

Jasmyn, 20, has been blasting onto the music scene with her new sound and her new album. She's starting a new life after hiring a completely new management team. Releasing and album with a completely new sound, and it looks like that new life includes co-star Prince, 28! The pint sized rockstar gushed about his relationship with Jas in a new interview, and it's pretty clear that he simply adores the songstress.

When Prince was asked about his relationship with Jasmyn in regards to the current affair rumors swirling their close friendship, he couldn't have been more positive. "I absolutely adore her... and I'll leave it at that,"

It sounds like we'll definitely see more of Prince and Jasmyn together, and maybe we could expect a musical collaboration in the future.

IS JASMYN DATING SEX GOD PRINCE? 'I ABSOLUTELY ADORE HER'

Oh it's all been kicking off for that Jasmyn and 1985 is her year. First she released another #1 album and she made sure to keep the hits coming. First rumoured to be  and then pictured   and now it's been reported that she's potentially dating Prince. Ooh and also errr.

So she may have recently broken up with Michael, considering we haven't seen them together since the incident at the American Music Awards with Prince marking his territory on the diva. Although she says she's still dating Jackson but if little birdies are anything to go by then she's already flirting up a storm with the Raspberry Beret singer.

And to be honest - considering he's taking the music industry by storm,  who could blame her.

According to MTV, Prince was asked on the America set about his relationship with Jasmyn, and was quite good at avoiding a direct answer in his response but as she sat next to him giggling and smiling.

He said: "I absolutely adore her." He spilled the tea, telling us how he thought she was beautiful and how he adored her. He left us with the cryptic hint that they were very close and he told us to leave it at that.

Hm. Evasive and secretive or just a bit bored of doing interviews? Oh, and when he says 'close' - does he mean their characters are together on screen or actually them or a couple slash friends or just in general terms of being around each other on set? THE OPTIONS

Dating rumours aside for just a sec, one thing that is for sure is how excited we are for these two to actually collaborate. Stop playing with us and get in a studio already.
