Danger, hopelessness and grief are what I feel right now. Being surrounded by numbers of great fighter mafias isn't a joke. It's terrifying. Dreadful.

Mafias with katanas and sharp knives are like nightmares to all of us. Not because we're also mafias we shouldn't be scared of them, we are not but we should admit that the situation is really bad. Some might survived but not all of us. That is what's more terrifying than being outnumbered.

I felt my feet rooted to where I stand when I saw how great the numbers of the enemies.

Sandali akong namangha at nagulat. Hindi ganito karami ang inaasahan ko, marami na kaming napatumba kanina pero tila hindi man lang sila nabawasan.

"Oh my goodness…" I heard a lady's voice, it came from the girl with a shoulder length hair beside me—Stynx's younger sister. Irene.

"D-Dami…" gulat ding usal ni Caina at napahakbang palapit sa akin.

Napatayo na rin sina Alexen at Stynx na kanina'y halos mamatay na. But now they seemed to not feel any pain. Is that the effect of Knave Alfaza's drug? What's that?

"Kakayanin ba natin sila?" Tanong ni Alexen na ngayon ay maayos ng nakakatayo. Ngayon ay napapalibutan na nga kami ng mga kalaban.

We instinctively formed a circle, backs at each other and faces toward the opponents. Malaki ang bilog naming ginawa para hindi kami masyadong ma-corner.

Handa na kami halos lahat at nakataas na sa ere ang mga kamao maliban lang sa tatlo—si Boss at ang dalawang Alfaza.

Nakikipagtuusan pa sila ng tingin sa lalaking ngayon ay may ngising matagumpay. Standing firm, high and proud with his both hands behind his back, chin up and broad shoulders, Veltier Stavros of Stavros Mafia.

His smirk never faltered as his cruel eyes lingered to the three mafia bosses beneath his eyes.

"Khel," mahina pero mariing saad ni boss.

Bahagya ko silang nilingong tatlo. Sa mahigpit na nakakuyom na kamao ni boss at pagtatagis ng panga ay alam kong sobra ang pagtitimpi niya. Maging ang ugat niya sa sentido at leeg ay kita.

And he addressed the latter in a familiar tone. Did they knew each other?

Ngumisi lang lalo ang pinuno ng Stavros habang nanatiling parang bato ang iba pang pinuno ng Alta Mercy at Montevalore.

Kita rin ang galit at puot sa mga matatalim na mata ng nakababatang Alfaza habang nakatingin sa harapan.

But isn't it too much? The anger, hatred, bloodlust and pain in Knave Alfaza's eyes are distractible. It's like as if Veltier have wronged him too much that he's anger is overflowing. Maging ang kanyang mga ngipin ay nakalabas.

Habang si Ferrin ay kasing lamig ng yelo ang mukha. Mas malinis pa sa isang hindi pa nagagamit na papel ang mukha nito. Ngunit ang pagtatagis ng bagang niya ay ang proweba ng kanyang galit.

"It's been fourteen long years…but look now, isn't this match familiar? This had happened a long time ago. History really does repeat itself," ngising wika ni Veltier Stavros. Habang nanatiling walang imik ang mga tauhan niya na muntik ko ng akalaing mga statwa.

They're freaking not moving an inch! They're like a real-life statues.

"Yeah, this meeting is nostalgic," sa wakas ay may nagsalita rin sa panig namin.

Hindi ko inaasahan ang kalmadong sagot na iyon ni Ferrin Alfaza. His face is void, stoic and completely clean of any emotions. Unlike his younger brother whose face had it all.

"It is, Ferrin. I can see our old selves staring into each other's eyes as we grit our teeth. Back then, you, Alfazas were also helpless," amazement is in Veltier's deep baritone voice.

"And just like before, you were also the antagonist. Up until now," pakikisawsaw ni boss at ngayon ay kumalma na ng kaunti. Pero ibang nakakatakot na tingin pa rin ang binibigay niya sa itaas.

We all wondered. Does this happened before? Do these three bosses faced each other like this before?

"We were always the antagonists," Veltier remarked, now smirking wilder. Everyone is sharply following his every moves as if he's going to pull some tricks if we dared blink.

"Is this some sort of a surprise? A trap? This is cheaper than I thought!" Knave also butt in. Iwinasiwas pa niya ang kaniyang kamay sa ere habang puno ng disgusto ang mukha.

"I know you're gonna bite it anyway. No matter how cheap this trap for you, I hoped that you'll still fall for it," tila walang pakialam na sagot ni Veltier.

"We fell to it willingly, I've been looking forward to meeting you too one of these days and so you could pay for your sins," Knave retorted in wrath. Natahimik muna yung kuya niya at si boss.

"Uh, paying. But I wasn't the only one who should pay you depths, Alfaza. Isn't the Freñieres has fair share of it too?"

"You both will pay! But today's payment is gonna be different. You hurt my sister! I'll fucking rip your head off your neck if I got you!"

"Calm down, stay put. Stavros hate aggressor." When Knave was carried away by his anger, he forgot the cool. He almost ran upward for an attack.

But Ferrin is quite fast. He had held his brother's arm the moment some Stavroses Mafia readied themselves to defense their boss.

"Knave," Ferrin spoke with warning. Galit namang hinaklit ni Knave ang brasong hawak ng kuya niya.

Halos lahat tensiyonado lalo na doon sa may hagdan. May mga mafia ng Stavros ang halos dumulog na sa ibaba habang nasa amin ang mga nagtataliman nilang katana.

"That's what she gets for being a Mafia boss' wife, an enemies reckless sister."

"Shut up! Fuck you, Veltier! Walang kinalaman si Athaia dito, isang pagkakamaling sinangkot niyo siya! I'll avenge her!" Sigaw pa rin ni Knave pero wala siyang magawa. Hindi siya makalapit sa taas dahil sa mga nakaharang na Mafia sa daraanan niya.

"We'll avenge her, perhaps this is also the right time to face each other. This is long overdue. Dapat matagal ng tapos 'to, matagal na sanang namayagpag ang tunay na malakas," ani Ferrin.

"Yeah, and that would be us. The Stavros. We're feared, respected and obeyed. The legacy of Alfaza Mafia has long ended. You could have accepted your fate instead of fighting against us."

"We will never obey such lowliest," agad na sabat ni Knave.

Napailing na ako sa katabilan ng dila niya. Hindi naman yun pinansin ni Veltier at nang-iinsulto lang na tumawa. Walang nakisabay sa kanya. Tahimik ang lahat habang kami ay hindi pa din makampante dahil sa mga nakapalibot sa'min.

They are just waiting for an order, order to crash us little by little.

"Who's lowliest? Us who have injected you guys fear and anger? Isn't it ironic, these devils you considered so low are the ones who are gonna devour you any minute now." Knave gritted his teeth. Then Veltier eyed Ferrin and Zethary.

"Freñieres has always been our greatest opponents. You brought delight in our anguish. Anguish of being not recognize as one of the greatest. You stole the spotlight, you crumpled us." Veltier's eyes sharpened as he was engaged to a staring contest with our boss.

Now this is confirmed. They knew each other personally and not just as enemies.

"Khel,"

"Don't call me by that name, Zethary. You killed Khel years ago. You betrayed that little boy who happened to believed in your promises of loyalty." Putol agad nito kay boss.

But Zethary looked like he doesn't really care about the anger in his old friend's face.

Nagsimula ng sumeryuso si Veltier. "The Freñier and Alfaza really has stood as one even after years. The two mafia organizations that pulled us down before, unfortunately, I was born."

"I didn't betrayed you. You were just too selfish back then. We were childhood friends, and yes, I promised you loyalty. But your father made the first damage," sagot ni boss sa malamig pa ring boses. Wala naman ata talaga siyang pakialam base sa boses niya.

"That's because they are really bound to be traitors!" Singit na naman ni Knave, his face held insult for the Stavros' boss. "I loathe traitors. I loathe the Stavros and the Freñier in both highest level. You're both shames to be with my sisters! Avenier wasted her life with you!" Una nitong dinuro si Veltier. "And Athaia's also wasting her time with you!" Napailing na ako sa irita sa isang 'to. Galit din niyang dinuro si boss. Napapikit lang si Zethary sa kanya habang iba naman ata ang epekto nun kay Veltier.

His jaw clenched hardly as his stares became deadlier. "Avenier's life was never wasted when she was with me. It's also your fault when you swapped her with my real sister!"

Wala na akong maintindihan sa kanila maging sina Stynx na nagkatinginan na lang. We are not really aware of these bosses past. We don't know much about their past. About Avenier and such.

"You should thank us, we made a funeral for her. But because of you my sister died!"

"Zethary killed her! I'd prefer you killing my old friend before I kill you myself!" Sigaw din ni Veltier kay Knave. "No, I should kill you and your brother then Zethary is mine to kill!"

Si Ferrin at si boss ay pareho ng nagpipigil ng galit. Tila walang magkakampi at magkalaban sa kanila.

When Ferrin eyed Zethary, it was already the start of the battle. "But I prefer killing you both myself," ani Ferrin. Boss immediately stood his ground and faced the Alfazas and Veltier.

"Valentino Stavros killed my mother. Valentino also killed the Alfaza's founders and made it appeared to be our organization's doing. Ferrin, it's the Stavros from the start," tila nagpapaliwanag si boss at pabalik-balik ang tingin sa tatlo.

"And Zeus Freñier killed my family," hirit din ni Veltier at itinaas na sa ere ang isang kamay.

"Fuck all of you! After all this time you think we'll side one of you?! We'll end both Freñier and Stavros, idiots!" Agresibong sigaw ni Knave at hindi ko inaasahan ang sunod niyang ginawa.

Without second thought, he aimed his machine gun towards the opponents in front of him and to us.

"What the fuck?!"

"The hell! He is out of his mind!"

"Damn that idiot!"

Sunod-sunod kaming napamura at napayuko para hindi tamaan ng mga umuulang bala mula sa baliw na nagwawala.

Mabilis kong kinabig si Caina para dumapa kaya ang mga balang para sa amin ay sa mga kalaban sa harap namin tumama.

Habang siya ay walang awat sa pagpapaputok sa harapan kaya napatakbo na para magtago ang tatlong pinuno sa itaas. Natamaan iyong nasa hagdanan pero hindi si Veltier at tila iniiwasan siya ng bala.

He jumped into Knave and shove him to the floor. The machine gun was thrown somewhere and the fight began.

Napatayo kami ulit para lumaban gamit ang aming mga kamao sa mga Stavros na tinataga na kami ngayon ng katana, samurai at kutsilyo.

Damn! Bakit kasi wala na kaming bala!

Nawala na ang atensyon ko sa iba na nakikipag-away na rin ng eksperto at nahati na ang atensyon ko sa aking kaharap at sa kaaway ni Caina.

Damn! Bakit kasi nandito 'to eh. Mas nag-aalala lang tuloy ako sa kanya kaysa sa amin.

I ducked when I was almost hit. My head was almost cut off by a katana if I didn't see it blowing towards my head because my attention were all to my sister.

Agad kong hinuli ang kamay ng kalaban kong may hawak ng katana at binigyan siya ng malakas na sipa sa tagiliran at tiyan. Then I flipped him over his head and broke his hand making him screamed in pain. I thought that would be the last of him but he ignored the pain and instead, his hard shoe connected to my temple and so I fell into the floor. He immediately sat upon my stomach. I managed to throw the katana away from him but he got a new sharp and glimmering knife that almost pierced my chest.

Hindi ko inasahan na magagaling din sila kaya nahirapan agad ako. Fighting in a short distance isn't my forte but I can still take my opponent down. Hindi lang ako magkamali.

Hindi rin nagtagal ay pumulupot na ang dalawa kong binti sa leeg ng kalaban ko dahilan para mabitawan niya ang hawak na kutsilyo. I then took it and stab him by his weapon.

When he fell lifeless, I stood hurriedly and searched for Caina only to see her getting cornered by four men with katana, she has one too from the dead enemy and she used it as her weapon.

"Caina!" I was about to run to help her when I bunch of a guy in black tux blocked my way. I halted in an instant and attacked them one by one. Pinagtulungan din nila ako pero sa pagkakataong 'to ay hindi na nila ako nagawang hawakan.

Gigil na gigil ko silang pinagtataga lahat at desperadong makalapit sa kapatid ko. I felt relief when Alexen helped her. He looks awful too but the drug might have made him so numb na kahit ilang beses na siyang nahihiwa sa braso ay tila hindi niya ito nararamdaman.

Poor. Soon he'll feel the effect of blood loss.

Marami na kaming napapatumba pero tila wala silang kaubusan. Si Stynx ay pinu-protektahan din ang kanyang kapatid at si Collin ay kasangga niya.

Habang si boss ay marami ring kalaban at pinagtutulong-tulungan siya. Maging si Ferrin ay napapalibutan na habang si Knave ay pilit lumalapit kay Veltier na may malawak pa ring ngisi sa labi.

But the younger Alfaza was stabbed from behind when he focused his whole attention to Veltier. That made Ferrin froze so someone got a chance to slice his bare elbow.

Tatakbo na rin sana ako kay boss para tulungan siya pero may mga humarang sa'kin.

Fuck! Can't they just disappear? They're so many! They're too much! Napapagod na kami pero sila ay padagdag pa nang padagdag.

I got a cut in my back and leg. I almost faint in pain but managed to stood still. Dalawang katana na ang hawak ko at mabilis kong pinagpapatay ang mga humaharang sa'kin.

Maybe because of the pain and anger, I forgot to be easy and I'd gave my full rage to them. Whoever gets in the way would be slain the brute way.

I finally got out from the circle of opponents with glimmering blades. But I have another cut in my shoulder and arm.

Mabilis akong tumakbo palapit kay Caina na bumagsak nang tamaan siya ng malakas na sipa. I suddenly want to turn into a beast. Literally.

"Fuck! Caina!" I hurriedly hugged her slender body the moment my knees met the floor.

I cussed nonstop when I saw that she has cuts too. But my sister would never cry just because of some cuts and bruises.

"I'm fine! Just fucking make way to call for a help! More reapers, Coother! W-We need help!" She commanded. She has no right to order me but she's right.

"Fuck…" agad ko siyang tinulungan tumayo at sabay naming tinutok ang aming mga espada sa mga nakapalibot sa'min.

We're cornered again. I saw a glimpse of Alexen's worried face as he tried hard to approach us but he's having a hard time dealing with his opponents.

"Damn, they're too much! Uh!" My sister yelled in frustration.

Wala akong nagawa kundi ang mas bilisan pa ang kilos ko para lang mapatumba lahat ng nakapalibot sa'min.

But I received another cut from behind. "Ah shit!" I hissed when I almost drop on my knees.

Nakalapit na si Alexen at Stynx sa'min, maging si Collin Garnet at si Irene naman ay nanginginig sa takot habang iwina-wasiwas sa ere ang kanyang katana.

"Coother!" Caina grab my forearm to help me stand up. I'm not that fatal, she's just overreacting.

Now we'd made a new circle as we fight altogether. Backs to each other to avoid being stabbed.

Habang si boss naman at ang magkapatid na Alfaza ay gumawa rin ng bilog at nagkatalikuran.

I struggled hard to approach Irene and when she's reachable enough, I held her in the elbow as I pulled her inside our circle.

Her eyes widened. Kaya hindi niya nasalo ang cellphone noong binato ko sa kanya. Nakatulala lang siya kaya prustasdo ko siyang binalingan.

"Call Trade! He's in the number one contact, tell him AID!" I shouted so she could her me loud and clear.

Nang matapos ko siya bigyan ng panuto tila gulat pa rin siya kaya wala na akong pinagpilian kundi ang tumalikod at tumulong na sa pakikipaglaban.

Darn! Bakit ba hindi pa rin yun nasasanay? She's been witnessing a bloody battle since earlier, she should have recovered already!

"Shit! Alexen!" I heard Stynx's crooked voice and so my head turned toward them. There I saw Alexen, frozen as he stood with wide eyes.

Even me, stood frozen for minutes. My breathing ragged as sweats strolled down my face. Nanlalamig akong napahakbang palapit kay Caina na kaharap si Alexen.

"H-Hoy! Alexen!" My sister screamed when Alexen's body fell upon her after Alexen caught the stabbed meant for my sister.

"Caina! Caina!" Natuon na sa kanila ang atensyon ko kaya nang sumalubong sa'kin ang matulis na bagay na naramdaman kong tumagos mula sa aking tiyan patungo sa aking likuran ay ang tangi ko lang nagawa ay ang saksakin din pabalik ang may gawa nun.

Hanggang sa napaatras ako at napamura dahil sa nakakamatay na sakit sa dulot ng saksak na kakatanggap ko pa lang.

"O-Oh my God! Coother!" Caina then drifted towards me with worry in her beautiful face.

~Collin's POV

"Coother!"

"The fuck…you are badly dying, Coother!"

Mula sa pakikipagbuno ay napaatras ako at kumuha ng bwelo bago tumalon sa ere sabay hampas ng malakas sa kalaban ko.

He stepped backward because of the impact I've made. I then slashed him lengthwise before stabbing him in the stomach. When he dropped, I immediately kicked him.

The blood in my sword dripped upon the floor. That's when I turned my back to look behind me and there I saw them beside Coother. He was stabbed at the back. But he doesn't look that fatal to me.

So I let them be and approached Knave, he's standing but breathing heavily as he used his sword as his support.

Nasa itaas ng muli si Veltier at may matagumpay na ngisi habang pinapanuod kaming magdusa. May dalawang lalaki rin siyang kasama na mukhang matataas na tao.

When my eyes met with Eva's, she just smirked as hatred and anger spurted out from her eyes. Hindi ko na siya muling tinapunan ng tingin at agad ng pinagsasaksak ang nmgaga nakaharang sa daraanan ko.

I immediately gave knave a space so he could get inside the circle to have a short rest.

"I'm fucking fine, Collin! I can still fight!" He argued but Ferrin glared at him. Hindi ko rin siya pinansin at ako na ang pumalit sa kanyang pwesto.

"Collin!"

"Shut up, Knave. Just a short rest!" I hissed back but he'll not be Knave if he'll listen to me.

Kaya tinulak niya ako at nakipag-esparing na rin siya kasabay namin. Unti-unti ay nakaka-ahon na rin kami. Unti-unti ng nababawasan ang bilang ng mga kalaban.

They're too much so I doubt that all of them are just a Stavros. Perhaps some of these skilled mafias came from the Alta Mercy, Montevalore and Morché.

"Darn! He's fast!" Ungot ni Knave nang parang kidlat sa bilis na nakalampas si Zethary Freñier mula sa mga kalaban namin at nagawa niyang umakyat ng hagdan nang hindi napipigilan.

He has small cuts only. When some mafia blocked his way, he was like, he's just playing with kids. He has slain them without sweats.

Darn.

"He left us! Damn him! He left us here to die!" Muli kong narinig ang mapaghimutok na tinig ni Knave nang tuluyan ng nakaakyat si Zethary Freñier sa taas.

Eva tried to stop him but she's too fragile for him. He caught Eva's every attack and she was just shove downstairs.

Gumulong si Eva sa hagdan pero nakatayo pa rin siya. Galit na galit siyang nagsusumigaw pero wala ng pakialam ngayon si Zethary.

"She's fucking mine to kill," mahinahon pero madilim na wika ni Ferrin at nagmadaling lumapit kay Eva.

Agad kaming nagkatinginan ni Knave, "They fucking left us here to die! I can't believe Ferrin!"

"Tsk," I only got to tsked before striking a powerful attack to our opponents who happened to be braver this time. I've got small cuts too. Ngayon magkatalikuran na rin kami ni Knave at halos sabay-sabay na umaatake ang lahat.

I was busy defending myself when I caught a glimpse of what's happening upstairs. I honestly halted in awe as I watch how skilled Zethary Freñier in hand to hand and close combat.

He was perilous and monstrous like a real mafia boss that he is. His punches and kicks never missed a spot and it always land so powerful that an Alta Mercy couldn't match him. Even against the two heirs of Alta Mercy and Montevalore, he never got bruises.

Tanging pagngisi ang nagawa ko. Why am I seeing Ferrin in him?

As if on cue, I averted my gaze towards my boss. He's there, already holding the weak body of Evaia Morché as he stood like a strict commander before his cadet.

"Zethary, that bastard is mine!"

Nabalik ang tingin ko sa itaas sa lakas ng sigaw ni Knave. Halos hindi na nga siya makalakad ng maayos sa pagod nagawa pa niyang sumigaw ng ganun kalakas.

Almost all of us stilled as we throw a look upward. Where Zethary Freñier is trying to punch Veltier Stavros but he was blocked by Ferriols Almedra's powerful attack.

Muntik na siyang mapaatras sa malakas na suntok na nagpadugo sa kanyang bibig pero tanging isang madilim at nakakakilabot na ngisi lang ang iginante niya.

The bloodlust and hatred in his eyes resurfaced as he came face to face with Almedra. Yes, I'm aware of him because I was once a spy.

Ferriols leveled Zethary's height and body built, same look on their eyes too. Habang si Veltier ay tila tuwang-tuwa habang nanunuod sa tahimik na pagtutuos ng dalawa.

But what's stunning is they stared back into each other for a couple of minutes. Not talking. There's something on them that I couldn't lay a finger on.

The Freñier's jaw clenched tighter as his eyes sharpened more. Hindi ko na sana papansinin ang dalawa at tutulong na lang sa iba nang mahagip ng mata ko ang tumatayong si Saimon Montevalore at agad tinutukan ng baril ang walang kamalay-malay na si Zethary Freñier.

I don't care if he dies anyway, kaya wala akong ginawa at hinintay na lang na bumulagta siya pero kasing bilis ng kidlat talaga ang isang Zethary Freñier.

Because when Saimon was about to pull the trigger, Zethary speed up and grabbed Saimon's hand as he kicked him in the gut. But the trigger was still pulled and it almost hit Ferriols. But the latter just tilted his head and the bullet pass through his temple. I'd he's slower, his forehead might have kissed the bullet already.

"That was close…" I couldn't help but mumbled.

Mas lumawak naman ang ngisi ni Veltier at may kakaibang kasiyahan akong nakikita sa mata niya. Amusement of watching his greatest enemy's fight.

Nagkakagulo pa rin ang lahat at nagkalat na ang dugo sa sahig. Ferrin is already fighting the Alta Mercy while Knave is well, hopeless it is.

He couldn't go upstairs because of obstacles. May iilang lumapit sa'kin na agad ko namang napatumba. That was the time when a swiss knife pierced through my upper arm.

Ugh, how I hate getting cut.

I immediately turned my head towards Eva who's holding another knife.

"Traitor!"

I caught her hand this time but she then kicked my gut. Sadly, my hand's faster. I caught her leg and shove her down the floor. I was about to struck my sword in her chest when I heard Ferrin's loud and thunderous voice full of disgust.

"Don't you fucking dare kill that bitch, Collin. My punishment's waiting ahead." With that, all I did is to hit her nape for her to drop unconscious.

"There, you're sweet ex-traitor woman," mahina kong saad na wala ng nakarinig.

When I looked up, the fight's on again. Nagngingitngit na sa galit si Zethary habang tinatalo si Ferriols na may mumunti ng pasa, ganun din siya. While Ferrin is also facing the wrath of Saimon and the Alta Mercy.

"Collin! Help me here! They're absolutely increasing! Darn!"

Napabaling naman ako kay Caina na sugatan na at nakita ko rin ang pagdagsaan pa ng nga kalaban. At muli kaming nadehado. But they we stopped.

Natigil din ang mga sa itaas dahil nagsalita si Veltier. "This is your end, all of you, this is your end! You think you've seen enough? You think you've faced enough of us? You're definitely hopeless!"

Nanghihina na ang iba, ang isang taga Freñier na sugatan kanina na binigyan ni Knave ng gamot ay wala na ring lakas. He has consumed the power of the drug. He's dying.

"Kuya! Oh my God! Stynx!" The girl cried, despite of that, we all heard Veltier loud and clear.

"But don't worry, everyone, Zethary…you won't die alone. You won't walk to hell all by yourself for I am sure that your wife will come with you in your journey to hell." Agad kong nakita ang pagkabahala sa mukha ni Zethary Freñier.

For the first time, I've witnessed how his fear enhanced. He almost attack Veltier without a thought. But the latter dropped something he shouldn't. Halos sabay umatake sina Knave, Ferrin at Zethary sa kaniya.

Ang kaninang nanghihinang si Knave ay tila kuryente sa bilis at kung paano siya nakaakyat sa hagdanan ng hindi napipigilan ay hindi ko na alam.

"Bastard! I'll kill you now! Now!"

"Knave!"

"Boss!"

"Ferrin!"

Everyone were caught off guard when the three of them just made a bang of attack.
