For anyone who hasn't yet caught the news here on Wattpad, or on Facebook/Twitter etc, I am VERY pleased to announce that I have recently been commissioned by Wattpad and Universal Pictures to write a short story inspired by the new movie Ouija: Origin of Evil!

This will be the third project I have undertaken and the second for Universal itself, so to say I am dancing all over the place is an understatement!

As is the way with the branded projects, there's often a brief that I have to follow and this one was to write an origin story based on one of my existing characters. It had to be set in the 60's and it had to involve a Ouija board. So... the question was... just which of my characters could qualify? I must admit, I did toy with the idea of Garrick from TWC but it was a decade too late and, it had to be a character from a horror story (apologies Garrick fans!), which meant there could ONLY be one choice for me.

Elderly, a bit nuts, likes making apple pie and homemade lemonade, her favourite snacks have eight-legs and wriggle a bit when you eat them... ???

Yes! That's right it just HAD to be our beloved Grandma from my previous Universal-commissioned story, The Whispering of Bitter Creek:

Grandma is still a particular favourite of mine, as is Bitter Creek, and so I jumped at the chance to write her origin story.
