Mood swings and teenage kicks lead me to one band. Suede. A band introduced to me and heavily played, Suede was an instant love for me. Suede has an almost Bowie/Brit-pop sound which gives the band a protean style. I personally find Suede very versatile for any mood. For teenage mood swings my attention is drawn closely to a more subtle and melancholy song by Suede called Europe Is Our Playground. Its lyrics talking about running away depicts a teenager's mind. I also feel that the chorus has a lot of meaning as Brett Anderson sings, ' Europe is our playground, London is our town,' I felt this shows a teenagers mind as it portrays a teenager in the way that when you're in your adolescence you feel on top of the world or "your playground". I guess reaching 'teen-hood' is the time you can start acting older and doing mature an 'adult things'.
