Evan and Jessica were holding onto each other as the ultrasound technician show them their baby on the monitor as Jessica smiled as Evan beamed proudly.

"Your baby is healthy and measuring around twelve weeks." She said.

"Now, we can finally tell people we're having a baby!" Evan said giddy as a man could be.

"The doctor will be with you in a moment, but in the meantime, here are some pictures of your baby." She said as Jessica looked at the pictures of her baby.

A moment later, her doctor walked in as he sat down.

"So, how are you feeling today Jessica?" He asked.

"I feel wonderful and finally happy I can eat some things without vomiting every time." Jessica said.

"That's good. How is the medication that I prescribed to you working for the nausea?" He asked.

"It works." Jessica said.

"How do you feel Evan?" He asked.

"I'm so excited and nervous all at the same time." Evan said.

"It's normal to feel nervous about your wife expecting your first child." The doctor said.

"Well, all together we have five children and now, six." Jessica said.

"Another thing before you go, I'll have to see you twice a month because of your age and I had no idea it was possible for a woman to get pregnant at your age." He said as Jessica nodded and placed her hand on her stomach.

"I know and it was a huge shock to us both." Jessica said.

"Like I said, I'll be monitoring your pregnancy from now up until you give birth." Her doctor said.

"I'm so nervous but so excited at the same time. I've waited a long time but all these women are getting pregnant at older ages, so what the hell makes me any different than them?" Jessica questioned.

"It's not safe in my opinion but I don't want you to think I'm judging you." Her doctor said.

"That's good. I'm taking extra precautions and taking care of myself and my husband is by me almost 24/7, so if I worry or something happens, then he'll be there." Jessica said.

"I've already been reading on how to be the perfect father, it sounds stupid I know but this is our baby and I always wondered what it would be like to be able to hold my own child I created with my wife and now, I get to and I wish people would be happy but instead, we have people like you judging us because I'm younger than she is and she's older than me." Evan said as Jessica looked at him.

"It's okay honey, I don't care what people think. I have plenty of people including you that are loving and supportive." Jessica said.

"Except that, we still have to tell our family and friends." Evan said.

"I know, that's why I thought we could tell them this weekend." Jessica said.

"Babe, Thursday is Thanksgiving and what if we ruin everything?" Evan questioned.

"Honey, we are not going to ruin anything and everyone knows I always wanted another baby and now, we are." Jessica said.

"I just worry that your kids, I meant our kids, will harbor some kind of resentment towards us or worse, me." Evan said.

"No one is going to harbor any harsh feelings towards you because we'll tell them that it's a common thing that women my age or older, get pregnant and have beautiful, healthy babies." Jessica said.

"Someone is going to say something and it'll blowup into something else." Evan said.

"No one is going to say anything sweetheart, I promise and if they do, we'll just tell them that it's our life." Jessica said.

Thanksgiving day

Evan and Jessica, plus Evan's side of the family flew to Minnesota to be with Jessica's family.

Evan and Jessica were in the kitchen, he was checking on the turkey when Jessica easily brushed past him.

"Babe, are you sure that this is enough to feed our entire family?" Evan asked.

"Well, I didn't want us to buy so much that none of it would get eaten and between all the grown ups and our kids, it will be enough." Jessica said.

"Okay." Evan said as Jessica kissed him.

He held her waist as Jessica licked his neck which was a turn on point since they got married.

"Take me to the bedroom." Jessica said.

"God, that sounds like a great idea right now." Evan said.

"Then, let's not waste anymore time." Jessica said as he picked her up and carried her into their bedroom.

Later on that evening, everyone was enjoying their time together, just reminiscing as Jessica needed to tell everyone that she was expecting as she looked at Evan talking with their kids and her grandkids.

"Everyone, I just wanted to say how thankful I am for each and every one of you. I'm thankful for this meal and the blessings that I have been given and for this very moment but I have something to tell you." Jessica said as her kids looked at her in panic.

"Jessica, is there something wrong?" Shura's father Mikhail asked.

"No, it's good news. It's a big announcement and I'm happy to tell you, very overjoyed." Jessica said.

"What is it mom?" Hannah asked.

"Evan, what's wrong with her?" Walker asked.

"There's nothing wrong." Evan said.

"Then, what is it?" Shura asked.

"I'm expecting." Jessica said.

"What?" Grayson asked confused.

"What is that?" Paisley asked.

"Wait a second mom, how are you pregnant?" Shura asked.

"That's what I asked myself when I took the test but then, I read an article somewhere that women my age can still get pregnant." Jessica said.

"Jesus mom, you'll be ninety something when this kid graduates high school!" Walker said.

"Mom, this is so unsafe and it's not a good idea to have this baby." Hannah said.

"Kids listen, y'all know that I wanted a baby after you got older and that I went through hell with your father trying to get pregnant through IVF, but it never worked." Jessica said.

"But mom, your body can't possibly handle this pregnancy. What did your doctor say?" Hannah asked.

"He said he'll monitor my pregnancy and make sure that I'll have the best care." Jessica said.

"Mom, this is insane!" Walker said.

"Sweetheart, I'm having this baby and I'm going to take extra precautions and take care of myself. Now, that's all I'm going to say, so let's enjoy our evening." Jessica said as everyone took their focus off her and onto Evan.

"Evan, are you going to talk some sense into her?" Walker asked.

"I'm not going against your mother. She has her mind set on having this baby." Evan said.

"You say it now like it's a bad thing!" Jessica said.

"Well, I don't know how to react to our family thinking this was a bad idea." Evan said.

"You're unhappy?" Jessica asked.

"No I'm not, I'm just worried and scared like they are." Evan said.

"I'm scared too but at least, I'm not hiding my feelings." Jessica said.

"I know, but can we talk about this after everyone leaves?" Evan asked.

"Sure." Jessica said.

...

Everyone left as Jessica looked down at her growing stomach as she felt a flutter.

"Mommy is so excited for you baby and when you come, they'll be so excited for you!" Jessica said as Evan started cleaning the kitchen.

Jessica looked at him as she walked up behind him and touched his back.

"Let's talk, please?" Jessica asked.

"Jess, I was put on the spot! They were practically begging me to say something to you and now, they are upset that you're pregnant!" Evan said.

"Evan, I'm not changing my mind. I'm having this baby and if you don't want to, then there's the door!" Jessica pointed to it.

"I'm not leaving you all by yourself." Evan said.

"Then, let's make the best of this. I'm happy and I want everyone to be happy too." Jessica said.

"I am but the kids were just really upset." Evan said.

"They'll come around, I promise." Jessica said.

"I love you so much Jess." Evan said.

"I love you so much too Evan." Jessica said as Evan kissed her.
