Five years have gone by and many things have changed and many have stayed the same.

Many new members have joined including Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl, Tim Drake aka Robin III, Mal Duncan, Karen Beecher aka Bumblebee, La'gann aka Lagoon Boy, and Cassie Sandsmark aka Wonder Girl. Few have become Leaguers including Zatanna Zatara and Raquel Ervin aka Rocket. Some have retired including Artemis, Wally West aka Kid Flash, Mary Bromfield aka Sergeant Marvel, Freddy Freeman aka Lieutenant Marvel, Donna Troy aka Troia, and Garth aka Tempest. Few have died in battle including Jason Todd aka Robin II and Tula aka Aquagirl. Dick Grayson aka Robin 1 has become Nightwing and the leader of the team. Kaldur aka Aqualad has gone evil, at least to most members of the team. Greta is the same just now knows how to use her powers.

Relationships have come and gone, Nightwing being the most likely candidate. Megan and Raimundo are no longer together. Megan is now with La'gann. Nightwing has something going on with Batgirl. Tim and Cassie won't make any moves. Mal and Karen are together. Artemis and Wally are still going strong. Finally, Raquel is getting married.

As for Vanessa and Conner, they got married 5 months ago in July and moved into a condo in Metropolis. She works and earns money from the mafia while Conner is studying for a teaching degree in physical education for a high school. He copies the same look Clark Kent does whenever he's in public, wearing glasses and a plain black shirt instead of a suit. The two help Superman around Metropolis. Wolf also lives with the two. Currently both are '21' years old though they look nothing like it.

Raimundo is still in charge of his mafia, but he still lives in the cave along with Megan, Garfield, La'gann, and Mal. Both Raimundo and Vanessa have gained control over their demigod half.

~Currently, it is December 1, 2015, Dick's birthday, and the whole team is in the mission room, chatting to one another. This team includes Miss Martian, Batgirl, Nightwing, Wonder Girl, Mal Duncan, Bumblebee, Superboy, Beast Boy, Wolf, Robin, Phantom, Greta, and Spook.

"Recognized: Rocket, 26. Zatanna, 25."

"Justice Leaguers in the house!" Mal calls out. "You girls forget to zeta to the Watchtower?"

"What can I say? We're slumming," Raquel grins.

"We're not slumming," Zatanna says, moving toward Nightwing. "We're on a mission..." She grabs Nightwing's face and kisses him full on the lips, much to the shock of Cassie, La'gaan, and Megan who's covering Gar's eyes. Batgirl smirks. "Happy birthday, Boy Wonder..."

"Mmm... say it backwards," he replies.

"Evah a yppah yadhtrib."

"Now, it's a lock," Nightwing smirks.

Raquel moves to kiss his cheek.

"How is it again you're still friends with all your exes?" Zatanna asks.

"That's my superpower," he retorts.

Vanessa lets out a chuckle.

"Now, we really do need to zeta to the Watchtower," Zatanna says.

"Don't want to be late for our first briefing with the League," Raquel says.

"Girl, you are not going anywhere 'til you show me pictures of Amistad!" Karen excites. Amistad is Raquel's son. He's not the son of the man Raquel is engaged to. Long complicated story.

"Happy birthday, you'll forgive me if we don't kiss," Robin jokes. "But I need to head back to Gotham..."

"The 'Dynamic Duo' thing, believe me, I know the drill," Nightwing responds.

"Recognized: Zatanna, 25. Rocket, 26."

"Rai, M'gann, a word," Nightwing calls out, moving to the side. "I need to know. You two still good working together?"

"Of course," Megan responds. "We're professionals."

"Yeah, responsible professionals," Rai huffs, glaring at Megan.

"Recognized: Robin, B20."

"Okay, team, mission briefing. Gather up!" Nightwing calls out. "We're splitting into two squads. I'll lead Alpha, which will consist of Wonder Girl, Greta, and I. Spook will take Beta, which includes everyone else..."

Up above the crowd floats Spook and Phantom, invisible.

Spook floats down to Megan. "Megan, link us up," she whispers to her before moving back up to the stage.

Her eyes glow green for a moment. 'Psychic link is up. Confirm status,' Megan telepathically connects us.

'Spook, ready.'

'Superboy, ready.'

'Beast Boy, ready.'

'Bumblebee, ready.'

'Batgirl, ready.'

'Phantom, ready.'

'Lagoon Boy...' Megan calls out.

'...Ready, willing, and bored!'

'Sorry, La'gaan, but you'd attract too much attention out here, but if there's trouble, you're our backup,' Megan responds.

'Hey, how 'bout a little less chirping?' BB huffs. 'We're on a mission. Noor Harjavti is in the US to raise funds for the Quraci Democratic Party. Since the assassination of her father, Noor's the only voice speaking out against the 'Bialyan Puppet Regime' ruling Qurac.'

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are assembled here to discuss freedom..." Noor starts her speech.

'And trust me, Queen Bee will stop at nothing to silence her!' BB finishes.

The speech continues.

'I don't see anything from up here,' Spook voices.

'All clear so far for me,' Miss M says.

'Yeah, I got nothing,' Superboy continues.

"Hey there."

Conner turns to the voice to see his father. "Dad."

"You know I requested this assignment," Clark says, getting a smirk in response from Conner.

Jimmy walks up to Conner and Megan. "Wow, you two don't look any different!"

"Neither do you," Megan responds.

"Except for the mustache, right?" Jimmy asks. "I've been growing it for six weeks."

Spook giggles, knowing that there's nothing there. 'Link in Superman.'

"The mustache! Of course!" Megan nods. 'Superman, I've linked you in with the rest of Beta Squad.'

'Good because I think I've found our target,' he nods.

'Phantom and I have set up an invisible force field around the stage,' Spook says.

'Good,' Superman praises.

"Hey, Conner, where's your wife?" Jimmy asks.

"Ah, she's around here somewhere," Conner says, looking into the sky.

"Ah, I gotcha," Jimmy winks.

'Our target is Devastation, an escaped felon and known operative of Queen Bee. Keep an eye on her. I'll suit up and be right back!' Superman says, waving to Jimmy. "Jimmy, I think I spotted Mayor Sackett. I'll try to get a statement."

"Go for it, Mr. Kent!" he replies, giving him a thumbs up. "That Mr. Kent always on the move."

'Devastation has disappeared in a white light!' Spook calls out.

'So did Superman!' Phantom exclaims.

"Always on the job," Jimmy finishes. Conner goes up in light and disappears. "Holey cheese!"

Another light shines next to Spook, telling her her brother was also had.

"Conner!" Spook shouts. "Rai!" Her eyes flare blue.

'Where'd they go?' BB asks.

Batgirl, Bumblebee, and Beast Boy group up with Miss M.

"Beta Squad to cave, Superboy, Devastation, Phantom, and Superman have disappeared! Vanished before our eyes!" Spook informs Mal.

"They're out of range of my psychic link and our radios," Megan says.

"It's bigger than that, M'gann. Conferencing in Alpha Squad and the Watchtower now," Mal answers back.

"Unfortunately, all three lanterns, both hawks, and our cooperative delegation are currently offworld," Red Tornado tells us.

"I'm tracing a powerful zeta radiation signal to Earth's moon. Our missing may have been teleported there," Martian Manhunter informs.

"Then there's no time to lose. Miss M, you and LB are now Gamma Squad take the bioship and head for the moon," Nightwing commands.

They do as told and leave immediately.

"All right, let's get back to our mission. We still need to protect Ms. Harjavti," Spook says.

"Devastation disappeared too, so maybe the worst is over..." Batgirl voices.

They all watch as a large alien space craft flies over Metropolis.

"You had to say that out loud," Karen huffs.

"Sorry, my bad..."

"Bumblebee to cave, Metropolis is under attack! There's a huge ship overhead, and it fired off some kind of–" She cuts herself off as she hears static.

They all watch as a giant blue force field covers the entire city of Metropolis.

"Beta Squad to Black Lightning, do you read?" Spook contacts.

"Yes, Beta, I read you," he responds.

Spook phases into the ground, motioning for Batgirl to continue.

"We can't reach the Watchtower and local zeta-tubes are offline," Batgirl says, touching the force field.

"Cave's not responding either," Karen says, digging at the ground near the force field. "Force field's cut us off from everything but the visible light spectrum. It descends into the Earth, and there's a slight curvature. I don't think we're under a dome. I think the whole city's trapped inside a sphere."

"Confirmed," Spook responds, appearing from the ground and turning visible in front of the three. "I can't phase through it or teleport out of it. It's time to suit up."

"Way ahead of you," Karen says, shrinking down into her suit.

"Beast Boy and Bumblebee, I want you two with Harjavti. Batgirl, you're with me," Spook takes command.

(13:45 EST)

Black Lightning and Jim Harper, meet up with Spook and Batgirl. Other league members and team members begin to show up on the other side of the force field. Zatanna, Greta, Wonder Girl, Nightwing, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Atom, Plastic Man, and the newest Blue Beetle appear, but they are unable to verbally communicate with us.

(16:22 EST)

Suddenly, a large beam from the spacecraft bears down on the force field, seemingly not doing anything.

"Now what?" Black Lightning huffs.

"I don't know. Nothing seems to be happening," Batgirl says.

Nightwing moves up to the force field and types out a message on his holowatch. 'We need you to investigate PROBE that landed inside Metropolis. Could be source of force field. Here are the coordinates from Watchtower.'

"I'll check it out," BL says.

Batgirl responds on her holowatch, saying 'Lightning will investigate.'

"I'll tag along," Jim says, rushing to catch up with BL.

"That's great Jim, but... shouldn't you suit up as Guardian?" BL asks.

"Can't. Donated my last suit to the Museum of Justice."

Batgirl sends a birthday cake that explodes to Nightwing, who smirks sadly in response.

Martian Manhunter, Atom, and Flash levitate up to the spacecraft. Nightwing, Zatanna, Greta, Wonder Girl, and Blue Beetle follow shortly after. Plastic Man remains behind.

(17:30 EST)

Plastic Man makes a sign out of his body asking if the two girls are good. Batgirl responds with a smiley face. The ground beneath the two suddenly shakes and a giant deformed dude emerges from the ground. They take notice of the backwards 'S' on his chest.

"Match..." Spook whispers, eyes widening. "We were trying to find you, but you found us..."

"Now may not be the best time for this though!" Batgirl shouts, ducking away from a punch.

The two dodge around his attacks. He begins to charge at Batgirl and she throws a knock out gas pellet right into his mouth at the same time he smacks her away. Match goes down as Batgirl smacks into the force field and passes out. Match slowly gets back up, turning his attack to Spook. Her eyes become blue with some flicks of hair becoming cold, blue fire and freezes him in his tracks with her telekinesis.

I have crossed the horizon to find you.

"We have been looking for you for a very long time," Spook says, floating up to Match.

I know your name.

"Graaaaaah!" he shouts in her face.

"Your name is Match. You're the older brother of Superboy and the first clone of Superman."

They have stolen the heart from inside you.

He twists and turns his head in rage. "Raaa!"

"Your soul is very erratic, let me help you."

But this does not define you.

"Haah..." He looks Spook in the eyes.

"Let me help you be normal. This is not who you are." Spook moves to possess his body and take control. You know who you are.

Match begins to shrink as Spook works her magic to return him to how he looked before. The 'S' he carved into his chest disappears as he becomes normal. Spook separates from his body and she catches him, gently moving him over near Batgirl. On the other side of the force field, Plastic Man asks if Spook's alright. She gives a thumbs up and slumps down between the two knocked out bodies. Spook puts up an invisible force field around Match before slowly falling asleep from exhaustion.

Phantom awakens his sister, who automatically notices the missing force field and every single superhero around them. She flies up and tackles her brother and husband in hugs.

"I'm so relieved..." Spook sighs, releasing her hold. Her eyes widen. "Conner!"

He winces from the loudness. "What?"

"I found Match!" she shouts.

"What?!"

She lets down the invisibility of the force field beside her. "I had to exert a lot of energy, but it should be worth it."

"What do you mean?" Conner asks.

"What I mean is that he should be just like you or me now," she answers with a smile. "I was going to do this when you took me to him, but he was missing, so I didn't get the chance to. After observing his soul while we were battling, I was able to calm it. He should be normal."

Conner's eyes widen. "R-really?"

At that moment, Match's eyes open to reveal black sclera with blue irises. He looks around confused. Spook releases the force field around him.

"Hi," Spook greets.

"W-who are all you people?!" he shouts, gaining everyone else's attention.

Everyone gasps upon seeing him, moving closer.

"Move back, don't crowd around him!" Spook huffs, shoving everyone back with a force field. "Hi, my name is Spook, but my real name is Vanessa." She puts a hand on her brother's shoulder. "This is my brother Phantom, but his real name is Raimundo." She moves to place her hand on Conner's shoulder. "This is your younger brother, Superboy, and his real name is Conner. Your name is Match, and we can find you a real name later."

Superman walks up, kneeling down slowly to not scare him. "My name is Clark Kent also known as Superman."

"I know who Superman is, he is my genetic template," Match voices.

"That's right, that'd make you my son," Superman responds.
