Day 14

Day 14: Week 2 || Tying the Knot

Rainbow Dash is in her room, pondering the crazy events of yesterday. Soarin had blurted out his feelings for her just before running away from her before she could say anything back. Does he not realize how she feels for him?

It all made sense now. His touchiness, his random acts of affection, and even his flirtatiousness. . All because he loves her.

She didn't realize it before but, she's loved him for longer than she thought she has, or at least had a tiny crush on him. It all started when he first pinned her against the lockers and teased her in a flirting manner.

It was during the middle of her third period class, chemistry. She was in the same chemistry class as Soarin at the time, and she was always partnered up with him for some odd reason. Her teacher allows one boy and one girl use the bathroom at a time, and Dash really need to go. So she asked her teacher during work time if she could use the bathroom. Her bladder was so full, she almost wet her pants.

"Ms. Harshwhinny, can I pleeaaase go?" Dash begged her teacher, holding her hand over her groin. "It's an emergency!"

Ms. Harshwhinny stared at her student in disbelief. She had seen Dash in the hallway last period with one of her friends. Pinkie Pie, was it? Never mind that. The point is that she doesn't trust that Dash actually needs to use the restroom, but judging by the way she was sweating and shaking, she seemed like she actually needed to go.

"Be back in three minutes. If you come back any later, it's a referral. Understand?" Ms. Harshwhinny says, flattening her brow as usual and staring at the rainbownette.

"Yes ma'am! I'll be back before you know it!" Dash replies respectfully, despite this class being her least favorite and absolutely despising the teacher. Rainbow dashed out of the classroom with a hall pass, not wasting a single moment after being given the authorization to leave.

Soarin, who sat right beside her, felt bored in this class when Dash wasn't around because he didn't have anyone to pick on. An idea popped into his head, one that would cause his boredom to cease immediately. A mischievous grin forms on his face as he thought of how the event would turn out.

"Can I use the restroom as well, Ms. Harshwhinny?" Soarin raises his hand.

"Speaking out of turn. That's a warning, Soarin. Also yes, you may go. The same rules apply to you." Ms. Harshwhinney didn't bother looking up from her desk as she typed things into the computer. Soarin's grin widened, excited for the trick he was about to pull.

Dash stumbled out of the bathroom, relieved that she released all the liquid inside of her and that she was finally out of that room. You'd think that once a girl is in high school, they'd learn to be more sanitary in public places, but the girls at Canterlot High were the exact opposite.

It was bad enough that the school treated girls unfairly by giving them only three stalls per bathroom. The boys got three stalls and two urinals, two more places to use the bathroom. In each stall in the girls bathroom was a different catastrophe.

The first stall in this bathroom is always being littered with female products since the little bin that hung on the wall was absent, so they had nowhere to put their products. Instead of being decent human beings by wrapping their products in toilet paper and throwing it in the large trash bin, they leave it in the floor, or even in the toilet, for everyone to see. It's disgusting.

The second stall was somewhat cleaner, but it was still gross. It's the one Dash uses ninety percent of the time. The only problem with it is that the water in the toilet would flood the floor, and Dash would have to run out before she got sprayed with the nasty toilet water.

And lastly, the third stall. On the walls were a bunch of words written with various writing utensils, including pens, markers, and even pencils. Some girls wrote their life stories or inspirational quotes while others drew . . . giant penises. It's . . . odd. It was the reason Dash avoided going into that stall at all costs.

Moving on from the disgusting thought of the bathroom she had just left, Dash checked the time on her cell phone and realized she had just about two minutes left before she was supposed to be back in her classroom. She took her sweet time to get back to class, taking less than one step every three seconds.

As she took her long and heavy steps, she bumped into someone on the way. Her words came out before she could think about them, immediately yelling at the person before seeing who it even was.

"Watch where you're going, asshole!" The person was rather tall, and it took her a while before her eyes met the face of the person she had bumped into. Actually, that had bumped into her. The smirk was a dead giveaway before she had even met his eyes. "Oh, it's just you."

Soarin stood in front of her with the same grin he wore while in the chemistry room. Remember, this was over a year ago. Dash and Soarin didn't get along as well as they do now.

"Going somewhere?" He whispered in her ear, tickling the nerves on it. At the time, he wasn't aware of the sensitivity in her ear. He was just trying to find a weak spot. Dash knew Soarin well, and whatever he stopped her for was nothing good. She had to get out of there as fast as she could.

"Yeah, back to class," she deadpanned, walking around him as if he was a pole between two doors. Before she could get even a meter away from him, she felt the firm grip of his hand around her wrist, holding her in place.

Without warning, Soarin knocked her back against the lockers and pinned her by leaving his elbow on her chest so she wouldn't escape. Just as she was about to protest for putting her in an uncomfortable position, she felt a warm presence on her left ear.

She stifled a moan as she felt his teeth nibble on her ear. Using the hand that wasn't pinning her, Soarin hugged her waist, gripping onto her ever so tightly. To his surprise, Dash had stopped fighting back against him. She was letting him do what he wanted.

His original plan was to play with Dash's emotions for a little and try to find a weak spot at the same time, but he had this growing desire inside of him that longed for more. Why can't he stop himself anymore? It shouldn't be hard considering he had no feelings towards her.

Moments later, he felt himself unpin her from the green, full length lockers. It surprised Dash that she didn't have to scream at him to get off of her. Then again, she didn't try to stop him in the first place. She noticed Soarin's expression as she felt him stare into what seemed like her soul. He stood there and said nothing.

Suddenly, her heart starts pounding rapidly against her chest. Why can't she take her eyes off of him?

"We should get back to class. We already passed the three minute mark," Dash suggested, her eyes still locked on his face.

"Yeah, that's . . . a good idea."

════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*════

She used to be angry by his action, but as she thinks back to the moment, she can't help but blush. She remembers being so awestruck by the moment, and her heart did somersaults every time she thought about it.

Every time he came into her mind, her stomach churned and her nerves tingled. Sometimes, she finds herself thinking about him for hours without moving a single muscle. He even constantly appeared in her dreams.

How did she not notice her feelings for him?

She's starting to wonder if her parents left them alone on purpose. They wanted them to get along so badly, that they went on a trip despite understanding the possibility of them not being able to come back for a while. Dash was so upset when she heard the news that she'd be stuck with him for longer than she thought, but would she have ever realized her feelings for him if they had never left?

Dash is tired of waiting. She's tired of sitting around and waiting for Soarin to come to her himself and explain what he had meant by those words yesterday, even though she knew exactly what he meant.

He loves her. She loves him. End of story.

She hops off her bed and bolts out of the room, not wasting another moment to get what she wanted.

════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*════

No words could express how Soarin is feeling right now. His emotion is not able to be described, as far as he knows. He could say he was frustrated with himself for running away from the girl he loved before giving her a chance to respond to his outburst. It wasn't really an outburst considering it was planned, but you know.

Coincidentally, thought of the same memory Dash had daydreamed about. He wanted to think back to the time where he first fell in love with her. He accidentally caught feelings that day, but damn is he glad that it happened.

A FaceTime call takes up the entirety of his cell phone screen as his ringtone went off. He knew exactly who it was without looking at the screen. His finger tapped the "accept" button and he watched as his best friend's face loaded onto the screen.

"Well?" Thunderlane had said, pressing Soarin for information. "What did she say? You don't look too happy."

"I ran away from her before she could say a word," Soarin admits, ashamed of his actions. He was afraid to face Thunderlane because of how hard it was to come up with a plan so convincing.

Yes, you read right. Soarin and Thunderlane had come up with a plan to help Soarin win over Dash's heart. The fight between the two boys was just an act to show Soarin's overprotectiveness of Dash.

Soarin will admit that he had forgotten it was all for show as he threw heavy punches at his best friend. If it was any other day, he would have never hurt him like that, but for some reason, it was so easy to hurt him now.

"Man, you gave me a bloody nose for nothing. You're lucky Dash knows how to treat those kinds of things," Thunderlane scolds while rubbing his temples, not impressed that he had to go through all that pain for what seemed like no reason. "You dumped our plan down the drain. It took us almost a week to come up with that."

"Yes, Lane, I know."

The boys have been coming up with this plan since the first day Soarin's parents had left. It was only put into effect on the third day, when Soarin had made a ridiculously large breakfast for the both him and Dash. It began to backfire when Dash had questioned Soarin's intentions, and instead of being truthful, he told her it was a prank. It ruined the original plan and put their relationship back at square one.

The pain in her voice after lying to her stabbed him in the chest. He mentally beat himself up for it, especially because he had thought she'd get over it the next morning. And what's even worse is that he disregarded her hostility towards him the day after.

And then there's the incident with the basketball. Of course, it was an accident, but he was so careless. She could've ended up in the hospital, or worse!

He didn't even want to think about the days afterwards because they were simply too painful to think about. Even during their friendship, he's hurt her in so many ways. He's starting to feel as if he doesn't deserve her at all.

Why would someone love the person who has caused them the most pain?

But he couldn't just sit around and expect Dash to forget his confession. She's not that type of person.

There's no way he's going to continue siting around and hoping that she'll come to him first. He has to approach her. He loves her, and he wants her to know exactly how much.

Soarin throws the covers off of him and sprints into the hallway on the way to Dash's room, desperate to see her again.

════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*════

Unbeknownst to the two teens, they both had the thought of running to the other and pouring their hearts out to each other. If they didn't slow down sometime soon, they'd crash into each other.

Thankfully, Dash saw Soarin and the end of the hall and mustered up enough friction in her get to help her slow down. There would still be impact, but at least it wouldn't hurt.

Soarin didn't realize soon enough that Dash was coming at such a great speed in the opposite direction, so he didn't have enough time to stop himself. Their bodies collided, causing them both to stumble backwards. Rainbow Dash, being the significantly smaller one, fell all the way back and almost hit the ground. A yelped escaped her lips as she prepared for impact. Thankfully, she felt a hand wrap around her waist and another clasp onto her hand.

"Soarin!"

"Rainbow!"

They exclaimed each other's name at the same time, excited to see each other. Both of them were surprised that the other had the same idea of approaching each other about their feelings.

"I need to tell you something!" They spoke over each other simultaneously. Soarin pulled Dash up so she could stand on her two feet. His hand lingered around her waist from he noticing she didn't mind his touch on her.

"You speak first," Dash says, her hand holding onto his.

"Don't you want to—"

"Soarin, please," she insisted. "It would make more sense for you to go first anyway." Soarin nodded in agreement to this statement. He took in a whiff of the air around him, getting ready to explain himself.

"I understand that my actions yesterday were uncalled for, and I shouldn't be so overprotective of you because you can, in fact, take care of yourself. So I apologize for that. But . . . apologizing is not the reason I wanted to speak with you." He felt his breath shorten and his heart skip a couple beats out of pure anxiety and nervousness. Not once in his life has he ever been afraid of speaking to her, so why does he feel this way now?

"Rainbow Dash, for about a year, I've noticed myself acting different around you. I didn't understand why until a month ago. Back then, we were still in the "hate" stage of our relationship, and it would've been wrong to just tell you how I felt. Plus, it was merely a small crush, and I assumed the feeling would go away." He paused and tried to read Dash's facial expressions. She was toying with her wristbands; an action she only did when she was nervous or scared.

"When our parents left for their vacation in France, I was frustrated. Very frustrated. I wanted nothing but to excuse myself from the house and possibly, I don't know, throw myself off a cliff?" Dash stifled a snicker, and her laugh brought happiness to Soarin's face. "The same day they left, I found myself thinking a lot about you. The thought of you invaded my brain I couldn't get you out of it. That's when I realized that my crush on you was becoming something more." Soarin grasped both of her hands and held them up to his chest.

"And from that day, I did my best to make sure my attitude towards you would be different. But it's like no matter how hard I tried, I kept hurting your feelings and treating you like you deserved nothing." Dash felt like butting in and reassuring him, but it just didn't seem like her place to at the moment. "I don't want to name every single one of those moments, but I will say that I'm sorry for acting like that." Dash nodded as a way of saying it was okay, not wanting to interrupt. "Remember when I said I didn't know how to act around you?"

"Yeah. You said it was because I'm your first female friend," she responds, waiting to hear what he was getting at with that question.

"That was only part of the reason. You can't exactly act like a good friend with someone you're deeply in love with."

Blood rushes up to Dash's cheeks. She already knew by now that Soarin was in love with her, but hearing him say the words made her feel so tingly inside. He really, really loves her.

"Rainbow Dash, I love you in ways that I cannot describe. I understand if you don't feel the same way—"

"I'm gonna stop you right there." Dash places a finger over his lips. She didn't want to hear him say any more of that sentence because it was not true. Far from it, actually. She wasn't going to allow him to continue thinking that she didn't feel the same way, because throughout his entire confession, that was his mindset.

"Soarin, I really wish you didn't assume how I felt about you before you allowed me to tell you myself. First things first, I should have been more understanding about your overprotectiveness because that's just how you are as a person. You don't like seeing people in pain, though you still have yet to take other people's emotions into consideration as well." She starts off. Soarin winces at her last statement. The reminder of that day was very painful to him. He's still ashamed of himself for not realizing his mistake.

"Soar, I—" Her breath hitches and the fidgeting of her wristbands became more aggressive. She couldn't help but smile as she thought of her next set of words. Say it, Dash. You can't back out now. "I love you too. Deep down, I always have."

A weight was lifted off both of their shoulders as she said those words. The wall of friendship crumbled to the ground in a thousand pieces. It's almost as if it was never there. They could finally stop hiding their true feelings and display every ounce of affection with each other.

They gazed into each other's eyes, emerald green meeting moderate cerise. Time seemed to slow down as they stared each other down. Soarin's finger traced Dash's lips, leaving light strokes with his thumb. They both felt the need to do one last thing to seal things off.

"Kiss me," she urged. Desire grew inside of her, eating away at her insides until it was finally satisfied.

Soarin cups his hand on her cheek and brings her face closer to his. He bent downwards slightly in order to get closer since she is very short. Regardless of that, Dash still had to hoist herself up on the tip of her toes.

Dash could feel the butterflies in her stomach. She was excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because she was finally going to get her first kiss with the boy she loves the most. Yet, she was nervous because she was afraid she'd be wasting her first kiss.

As he moved in closer, Dash leaned in as well, taking in the scent of his warm, intoxicating breath. Their lips brushed against each other, closing the gap between them. His soft lips crashed against her plump ones. He wrapped his arm around her waist while Dash snaked hers around his neck. This kiss was nothing but passionate and loving. They never wanted it to end.

Their lips danced around each other as they sank deeper into the kiss. He bit her lip as he pinned her against the wall, forcing her to release a soft moan into his mouth. She ran her fingers through his silky hair, pulling him closer so that he was pressed onto her.

Whether it be a surprise to you or not, this is both their first time kissing another person. They had no experience in kissing at all. The movements and actions during it just came naturally to them.

They pulled away from the kiss, gasping for air. Without wasting a single second, they launch back into another kiss, this time being a little more aggressive with it. Dash's moan had triggered something in Soarin, making him want more than just a kiss. He forces himself to resist the urge to do something he'd regret.

Their lips parted one last time, the love between them lingering in their lips. The moment was one they'd never forget: their first kiss.

Soarin Skies has never loved someone as much as he loves Rainbow Dash. How can you not? Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, she has an amazing personality. Her spectrum colored hair and beautiful magenta eyes matched her snarky, yet loyal personality. She doesn't like to show it but, she can also be a big softie when given the chance.

Rainbow Dash would always turn down any boys (and sometimes girls) that came her way and tried to flirt with her. She would give them ridiculous--and not to mention--impossible threats, but at least it kept them from coming back to her. She just wasn't interesting in dating to begin with. But Soarin changed all of that.

He's been better to her than anyone else ever has. He cares for her so much that he'd act like a human shield just to protect her.

"Dashie?" Soarin whispers her name, catching her attention. She hummed in response so he'd know she was listening. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Finally. It took him long enough to say the words.

"Of course I will, Soar." She didn't hesitate in the slightest. They're deeply in love with each other, so there was no reason for her to say anything other than "yes".

"I love you, Rainbow Dash," Soarin says in a sensual tone.

"I love you too, Soarin Skies," she answers back, pulling him into another kiss.
